Selena was actually born in Texas and learned Spanish to be able to speak and sing in Spanish. That’s why she was so unique because she was breaking barriers.
Isn’t she Latina bilingual Tho
@@itsgengreen4683 yeah but she didn’t grow up speaking Spanish like most Latinos do, she learned when she was young.
@@marielar.8386 she was a Si sabo
@@The_MasterXxoscarproxX lmao please 😭😂. But at least she learned Spanish and spoke it fluently after!
Her parents are from mexico
Selena was 23 years old during this performance and a few weeks after this she was murdered in march 1995 . i’m a Selena fan from Scotland in the uk. thanks for reacting to a true icon Selena. stay safe 🏴😷🎤👏🏻👍🏻
This makes me so happy! Her music reached around the world at 23. God, she’s a legend. Taken from us too soon.
@@BlueberryMI yeah taken way too soon but we will never ever forget her. Selena’s legacy will live on through her music and us the fans. stay safe 😷🏴👍🏻🎼🎤👏🏻
@@alisonscott1469 wow from UK! So cool Selena has fans everywhere !
A few months later, she died. Please correct that.
@@lunnabellarosales8882 learn to read i put a few weeks after this performance she was murdered in march 1995
At the beginning she says, “Now, I want to dedicate this song to all of you because you made this song a hit, the first hit for us here in the US and in Mexico. I hope that you all remember this song”
"Every day" 😭😭❤️❤️
And we still DO SELENA!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨✨
Spanish music is not only listening, feeling, dancing, enjoying! Thank you for your reaction guys, love from Mexico
🇲🇽🤘🏻
Is not only? Que es entonces ?
🇲🇽❤
So I just want to say on behalf of Selena's friends and family here in Corpus Christi and at the Museum thank you for your reaction and keeping her Legacy alive if you're ever in the area we would like to invite you to the museum to give you a personal tour and once again thank you guys for the love that you have for Selena and keeping her Legacy as strong and current as ever
100% had to go on google maps to figure out where Corpus Christi was 🤦🏿♂️😂😂 we are honored! Would you recommend we watch the tv show they have about her on Netflix?
Watch the movie then the series.
amici you should watch the tv show ASAP, best show ever!
Say no more
Diva elizondo is a hacker page...they write the same to everyone...block diva elizondo...
That was actually better Spanish that you are crediting yourself for. Nice!!!
Hahaa that just boosted Alex ego 🤫🤫dont tell him that 😂😂😂

The moment of silence for Selena’s beautiful face 😭 awww💜 Selena lived 23 years🌹
Every time I hear and see her lives it makes me want to cry, not Mexican, Hawaiian but my dad totally raised us on Selena! Such a beautiful soul that was taken way too soon! 💗 Blessing the heavens with that voice!
same
She is a legend! Love her! She was 23 here sadly one of her last concerts before she was killed. Her music and her spirit will live on. Also Definitely react to Selena - Si Una Vez Live at the astrodome.
She was too young. She still had a long life and if she was still alive today in 2021 she would've been 50 but she would've been in her 40s when I was in my school years and would've loved her but it breaks my heart for not even being able to grow up with her. She died 5 years before I was born in 1999
@@jormungandrhulda9666 She was murdered two days after my 11th birthday. We were robbed of everything she was going to accomplish, and this is all we have of her to enjoy. It was so senseless and still hits me hard to this day.
Her smile is so contagious. She loved connecting with her audience. This woman loved performing so sad she's not with us but she has inspired so many young Latinas today. Long live The Queen of Tejano.
Good spanish..I understood everything you said.. then alex started speaking spanglish but i also understood that🤣🤣👍👍
😂😂😂
@@Amicy Please reaction: Anahi - Rumba ft Wisin.
A Selena fan from Ireland here 🙌🏻❤️ loved your reaction, it’s exactly how I feel whenever I watch/listen to her perform 💜 this particular performance always makes me teary because it was her last performance before she was taken from us 💔
@Jennifer thank you so much for watching, it truly means a lot
She was American born and raised (Mexican ancestry) and learned Spanish for the first time when she started singing in Spanish as a little girl. This performance of Como La Flor in early 1995 was the last song she ever performed. She was murdered one month later at the age of 23.
My 11th birthday was just two days before it, and being from the same area of Texas where she was from, it hit us very hard back then.
Thank you so much for enjoying her music.
Selena was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson Texas. She was Mexican-American.
I am so greatful you guys did such ovation to the greatest who ever did it. I'm a New Yorker with Dominican, and Hebrew blood but till this day no one has been able to replace Selena. Hands down the greatest who ever did it. Thank you brethren.
I’ve noticed tjat everyone that reacts to SELENAS songs they instantly GET SOOOOO MANY VIEWWWWs bc THAT IS HOW MUCH PEOPLE CONTINUE TO LOVE HER 😭😭😭🌹🌹🥲🥲💜💜💜
We all about the vibe and learning new music, we don’t worry bout the views
Absolutamente cierto
Such a beautiful reaction! I love the fact that you guys are not only listening the song but you're dancing and singing it! This just shows she will remain immortal in our hearts

Best “como la flor” reaction video hands down!! You guys truly enjoyed watching her sing and dance and seemed very natural everything. A loved how you guys sang along 😂
Hahah it was too fun being the back up dancers watching the Queen 😃😃
Hands down this is the shit 💪🏼 greatest reaction to Selena I've seen
Selena Forever. Thank you for reacting to the Mexican American Queen Selena. She’s truly missed. Thank you for the beautiful video.
Stay tuned for more 😃😃
@@Amicy Will do thank you 😁
This was by far the best Selena reaction! I love how y’all were genuinely enjoying the song, and your Spanish ain’t bad haha
Please don’t boost his head any more 😂😂
she was a Diva Diva Diva But....Humble, kind, loving & friendly in same time...Such pure soul that was taken advantage of because of her popularity & talent in anything that she did while she was among us...Rest in peace our Beloved Angel, Selena Quintanilla-Perez never forgotten...

@@Amicy oh I definitely subscribed 👍👍
This made me so sad, she said see you soon. And look what happened. Life is so short. Let’s keep her in our memories.
Oh this broke my heart
We will see her soon in the afterlife
Actually English was her first language (she had a southern accent). She learned Spanish so she could sing in that language to stay true to her roots. She could sing in Spanish phonetically but she wasn't fluent in the language (Her interviews show this).
Your Spanish is not too bad!! Selena is a vibe, she forever will be missed.
So sad she died in her early 20's and this was her biggest and her last concert
She still had alot of concerts to go and all that was taken away.
pleaseeee react to Selena Disco Meledy live at the astrodome
Overrated ass video. Have them react to her singing, “no me queda mas” “que creias”. Etc. Waste of request 🙄
@@marlon1945 lol i can have my own opinions on what i want them to react to:) but anything Selena related im perfectly fine with; Si Una Vez, La Caracha, Cumbia Meledy etc. There was no reason for the attitude! 🤣
Im sorry didnt mean to come off ass a dick lol. There are just so many other good selena songs and performances. Im sure they all heard the songs on the disco medley, why not introduce them to songs they’ve probly never heard. But again sorry for coming off rude lol
We haven’t heard anything except como la flor
@@Amicy the disco medley is her singing popular american songs that im sure we’ve all heard. But again, that’s nothing against her or you guys. Ill still gladly watch yall reaction to it ! Awesome content by the way 😁
Es increíble que después de tantos años.. sigamos amando a Selena.. THANK YOU guys🌹🏃🏼♂️🇺🇸🙏
Selena wanted to make a English Album but the record company said she needed to gain more exposure in the Spanish market. When she finally got super popular they allowed her to make an English Crossover Album. This was a dream of hers since childhood, sadly she never lived to see this dream come true. Her English crossover album (Dreaming of You) was released posthumously.
Al Final Terminaron Siendo Fan De Selena Y “Como La Flor" 😂💜💜🌷
ooof... my family cried for days.... DAYS.... when Selena Q , MJ, and Robin Williams passed on. awe man... a bit of tears in my eyes each time I watch this. She was too young man... too damn young and beautiful inside and out. awe man. I'll never get over this

Gone too soon 🥺🥺 and thank you so much 😃😃🤜🏾
@@Amicy Also a fun fact, Selena did not speak any Spanish until she started to sing in it. There she learned from her song lyrics, and pieced them together. Not only was she beautiful and an amazing singer, but she was smart aswell. Gone too soon is right, we miss her in the latino community.
This was so beautiful to watch. I had a smile the entire time, but at the same time I'm holding back tears cause i love Selena.

Omg! I love Selena! Great reaction guys! I was only 7 years old when she passed. But, till this day I listen to her. I’m a fan! Just watching her I learn to dance cumbia. She is legend! Her music will live forever. 💜

By the way she was Mexican-American and Spanish was her second language she learned it later in life and this sadly was one of her last concerts before she died at only 23 years old 😔; although I don’t think she would ever be forgotten therefore would never die
Adoro a Selena, da vontade de dançar, parabéns pelo vídeo meninos😘.
Omg i died at 5:00 the look you guys gave each other and the dancing. You can literally see how it hits you guys. Amazing. I love it!
Facts🔥🤜🏾🤜🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂😂
I really love how you guys jammed to this it’s so amazing and positive vibes
Hahaha ellos no hablan español pero se gozaron toda la canción 🎶
Selena was SUCH an icon.
I was ten years old when she died and heard it over the radio on my way home from school and they released her new song “dreamin of you” in her honor.
She was 23 about to be 24 when she died. She was SUCH an angel and good person. She told kids to stay in school, and wanted a family one day. She will never be forgotten and she is buried in Texas and has a statue in her honor called “over look of the flower” near the bay there. Selena was shot in the back and it hit a main artery that ran to her heart so when she was running from Yolanda her shooter, she lost a lot of blood by the time she got to the lobby and couldn’t be saved at the hospital even though they tried. Her husband Chris Perez is actually right behind her playing the guitar in the band lol.
Hola! Selena brought me to you💜...... I was 7 when she died and it is so amazing how almost 26 years later she is bigger than ever.... Bigger than anyone else 🌹..... I hope you keep on reacting to Selena because this was an amazing reaction and there is so much you can react to from her..... Hugs from Venezuela🇻🇪
This was the last song of this concert. I highly recommend you watch the entire concert, especially the beginning disco medley.
Ella era de Texas , y se crió en México😊 era como le decían.. La Reina del Tex-Mex💚💜
Ahhhh, I'm crying!!! Your Spanish is really good. You definitely have to do more Selena😭😭😭
A curious fact is that Michael Jackson was her role model, and when she was younger she went to his show there in the Astrodome and she dreamed of becoming a huge star and having her own show there, and she did it before passing.
Her story is simply heartbreaking. Her life was taken away when she was only 23 by this disgusting lady (who's being released in 2025). She was so talented and beautiful. She would have become the greatest Latina artist of all time.
It's really sad how she was saying goodbye, when she says "Mil abrazos y mil besotes a cada uno de ustedes. Cuídense muchísimo y nos vemos muy pronto", which means "A thousand hugs and thousand kisses to each one of you. Take care of yourselves and see you soon": there was no see you soon! 😭
Gone, but never forgotten. Rest in peace Queen!
P.S: There was a part when she says "Cumbia". That's a Latino musical genre, which is basically the genre of the song she's singing.
Fun fact: She is a designer(she designs all of her stage fits🔥🔥) los amo💜
HIGHLY recommend the movie(where J-Lo stars and acts as Selena) and she was 23 when her best friend shot her!! Crazy for me because she would be the same age as my mom atm!!!!!
Her dad is Mexican-American and her mom is Cherokee Indian!!
Rip selena am glad ya'll wachting her song and her video rip selana we still love you who else agree with me😍😍😘👍👍❤❤❤
Selena para siempre. Estaba cantando esto camino al trabajo hoy. Haha you guys are awesome for doing this video. Your Spanish is not bad btw. Keep practicing. She's was Mexican. 4th Generation Mexican American here.🇺🇲🤎🇲🇽
She is, was, & Forever will be The Queen of 🇨🇱Tejano 🙌 RIP Selena⚘
Music creates unity with all races worldwide it' brings peace and love thanks for reviewing this song
When she says the part "Yo se perder"... That means " I know how to lose" not I feel lost. I just letting uknw. Y'all gotta check out her Disco Medley same concert and it's the beginning of concert.
awwwww I loved you guys!!! Selena is the best!! we miss her, she was 23 :(
Jajajajjaja you guys are so funny and fun!! And your spanish is fun!! And seeing you guys from Honduras!!
Honduras in the building!!!
@@Amicy YEAHHH 🎉🙌🏻...!!
To tell you what she’s saying is thanks to her audience for all the support and love to her and her family (which makes up most of the group) from both Mexico and the United States and that this song is dedicated to them
P.s. her husband is the guitarist, sister is the drummer, brother the song writer and bassist, and finally her parents the managers of the band
P.p.s. I didn’t need google translate because I can understand Spanish because my mom is from Mexico and my dad is from Texas
Aww them dancing omg so cute! Thank you for reacting to this she was very unique, beautiful and talented.
Selena was born April 16 1971, in Lake Jackson Texas . She was Mexican American. She broke her own record in this big event that happens on February and part of March every year, her 1st performance in the Houston Rodeo was in 1993 she broke record, the following year she broke her own record and the 1995 she broke her own record again, this was on Tejano Day on Houston Rodeo. It wasn't her last concert but it was an epic concert for sure.

At 4:46, its like she is saying,"Bye. Thabks for having me." 😢
Unfortunately Selena Quintanilla was murdered by the president of her fan club on March 31, 1995. She was only 23 years old. Yolanda Saldivar was the manager of Selena's boutiques and fan club. She had embezzled 60,000 from both the boutiques and fan club. The Quintanilla family confronted her but she denied everything. Selena was doing taxes and needed important documents that were in Yolanda's possession. On March 31, 1995 Yolanda told Selena to meet her at the Days Inn Motel by herself. Both women argued in the motel room, Selena then said that Yolanda couldn't be trusted and fired her on the spot. Yolanda pulled out a gun. As Selena fled the room, Yolanda shot her once in the lower right shoulder. This severed a major artery causing massive blood loss. Selena ran to the lobby, leaving a trail of blood 392 ft long. She clutched her chest screaming "Help me! Help me! I've been shot!", Saldivar chased after her. Selena collapsed in the lobby, her last words were "Yolanda.......(room) 158". An ambulance arrived in one minute and 55 seconds. They took her to the hospital and made heroic actions to save her life but the damage was irreparable, she was pronounced dead at 1:05 pm (CST). Doctors have said if the bullet had been one millimeter higher or lower, then the wound would be less severe and that she would probably still be alive today. Yolanda had a 9 hour standoff with the police, she threatened to commit suicide. She turned herself in after. She was charged with 1st degree murder. Yolanda Saldivar will be eligible for parole in 2025.
Selena was Mexican American. She was 23 years old when her life was taken. She’s from Corpus Christi Texas born and raised.
