This press has worked like a charm for my projects ruclips.net/user/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!

I really like watching your videos, however there are some things that you really shouldn't paint! Why would you paint the chuck? Why would you paint the step-pulleys? Not to mention that obnoxious ORANGE paint color...was is on sale?

A maestro. Really enjoyable to watch.
Other thoughts: 1) the color scheme is amusing, 2) does weather play a role in the decision to paint the chuck?
Also, note the authentic mud wasp nest on the top cover prior to the restoration.

What kind of chemicals did you use to clean the windings on the moter. I have an old rusty drill press that I want to restore and wasn't sure what to use on the inside of the moter and when you put it back together you brushed something on it. Just need ideas on what to use on mine. Thanks

Also, if you keep using the "ball-end" of your hex wrenches that ball is going to break--off inside the fastener and be stuck in it.

👎Amazing how he gets a beaten up drill press, takes it to his shop, disassembles it, sands it, washes it, paints it and reassembles it without checking the rotor or stator, and it WORKS !! How amazing that you can wash an item that doesn't work and it will then work. MAGIC

20:20 нарушение техники безопасности. Заготовка должна быть зажата в тисках! Сверло может зацепится о края и заготовка причинит тяжёлую травму.

A great quality drill press spoilt by the ugly colour mix! Why? It would have looked much nicer in all green., or at least one colour. Also you don't paint the drill chuck or the work table.! Keep at it and you will learn in time.
