In the BTS pics they didn't have any green screen set up, so it's all editing and whoever did it is a master....of using the key tool in Premier 😂

You know what’s really a testament to Jordan’s scripts? If you described a RUclips channel as advertising its Patreon at every available opportunity, it would sound insufferable. And yet, every one of Jordan’s references to it manage to be pretty funny and even make sense in the context of what he’s talking about

In the lore, the way that The People Eater (the bloated leader in Fury Road) gets gas is through fracking, which caused a bunch of run off that turned the Green Place into the swamp that the blue part of the movie takes place in

@@Drjordanbreeding it also doesn't, fracking makes your water also a fuel source but it still actually works as water normally does. It doesn't actually fully mix into the water and make it "go bad". lol or a large part of the US would already be a desert... which wasn't already.

@@Drjordanbreeding hmmm more sense would be that they over fertilized or didn't know the correct nutrient balances plants need.
Then when the plants started to wilt they over watered using irrigation not understanding that completely either, trying to keep the plants alive they killed them.
The nutrients then polluted the water source... it happens a lot in small communities who have farmed for generations without really understanding gardening let alone large scale farming or forestry.
There were also those weird things in the resultant swamp so could have been that group of... whatever they were... which polluted the ground/water.
@@liamnehren1054Not only is fracking fluid itself a water contaminant, the process of fracking also brings radioactive materials, heavy metals, and crude oil into surface run-off. If the Green Place was contaminated by run-off from fracking, then the water would absolutely become poisonous and kill the local flora. And if the Green Place is downstream of Immortan Joe's dam, then there won't be enough flowing clean water to dilute and push away the poison. The place will dry up to a swamp and then a dryland where, at best, only the hardiest scrubs can grow.

I gotta love in the first film how max is only really responsible for 1 confirmed death and it's a side character. Like everyone else in the gang is either unclear or they drove into oncoming traffic.
Also the main villain of the film who killed his entire family and best friend is not even the most iconic kill of the film

I absolutely love the art style of the animated title cards that Jordan uses. If I’m n0t mistaken, I believe his dad makes them? Which is so wholesome that he supports Jordan’s artistic endeavor by contributing something so cool to his son’s work. If I somehow completely made this up in my head or misremembered something, they’re still really cool and I’m glad Jordan includes them.

So fun fact: after this movie came out I was working the convention seeing the comic book conventions and word is among the vendors that there were so many people dressed up as war boys that the entire supply of silver cake spray was out and had to be redone or I just restocked because there were so many people dressing up as war boys and such for Halloween that the actual worldwide supply of silver cake spray was diminished and out of stock and it was next to impossible to find any for several months after Halloween

This was awesome, I'm stunned at how fast it came out. You should do all the Monsterverse movies (plus Monarch) next. Also, I think Gyro is not the same character in Thunderdome, I think Miller just loved the way that actor looked.
Ha well I wrote this in March and filmed it in April (with the exception of Furiosa which yeah we turned around as fast as we could which is why it’s on green screen)

So you mentioned the weird girl and woman he keeps having flashbacks of Fury Road. I can kind of explain it, there is a comic book prequel and tie in series that occurs right before Fury Road.
Basically, Max comes upon this town that’s having a death tournament and the winner gets a sweet V8 engine, which is exactly what he needs. He competes, and ends up beating some gang leader in the final match to win. In typical fashion of course, the gang ambush is him afterward and steals the engine he needed anyway . He’s on his way to go reek typical mad Max revenge, and get it back from the gang; but a woman who helped him during the final match (by handing him a flare to help win) asked him if he can get her daughter back as well as she was kidnapped by the same gang.
Long story short he agrees. Max rescues them and is successful, and they all seem happy with each other hugging. She asked him to stay, but max refuses even though he’s clearly thinking about it. As he drives away, he sees another bike flying towards the town he was just in. He hightails it back, but he’s too late. The guy who returned was a form the gang seeking revenge. And the mom is dead as the daughter/girl lays dying in his arms. He buries them and sulks while walking away.
So those are the two he has visions of in fury Road.
I only ever watched Fury Road, so finally getting some context on the other movies is amazing

So I was confused as hell about the flashbacks with the woman and girl in Fury Road. Turns out there is a comic book tie-in and prequel that takes place right before Fury Road: *spoilers below*
Max wins a sweet V8 he needs in a fight club tournament basically. They of course ambush him get and steal it from him. As he’s going after them in revenge mode, the woman who gave him a flair that helped win the final death fight approaches him and pleads with him to rescue his daughter while he goes after them.
They’re all rescued, they plead with him to stay with them, but he rides off into the distance even though he really kinda wants to stay. He sees one of the surviving gang members speeding towards the town they were all in and Max hightails it back, but is too late. The mother is 💀 , and her daughter/the little girl dies in his arms.
Thats right before fury road and what his flashbacks are.
