- Hey everyone, we’re back in the Dolomites 🏔✌🏽
⤷ We’re spending the last Summer days in the mountains and this time we came to Passo Sella to do an epic hike the mountain hut “Rifugio Toni Demetz Hütte” in an altitude of 2685m above sea level.
Then we took the most unique cable car ever 🤩
What makes this such a special experience is the fact that only two people max. can stand inside and what’s more the cable car doesn’t stop 😭 So to get in (&out) you need to jump on and the manual doors
are closed from the outside by a gondola operator.
🚡 The Telecabine Gondelbahn “Forcella del Sassolungo” is located in the heart of the Dolomites.
It offers an extraordinary way to explore the breathtaking rock massif towers of Sassolungo and the whole landscape of Val Gardena UNESCO World Heritage site.

My husband hadn't done a lot of research but determined we would take the cable cars up- but luckily, I learned the "coffin cable cars" were closed! Phew!

Oh my goodness, I thought the cable car we went on in the Dolomites was stressful, I'm not sure I could get into this one at all lol!!! The scenery is just so beautiful there. Thank you for reminding me of my trip to the area!

That cars seem to be upgraded from what i remember . i recall a lot of rust and it was rather noisy inside with the parts of the car clanging around. but maybe that's a false memory as it was 15 years ago .
well to be honest it was quite noisy inside ,
