I was lucky enough to attend the show in LA last night, and hearing this on the Dolby sound system was beyond phenomenal. Seeing all the visuals complementing each other was so beautiful. It helped me to accept what was happening in my life and conjure up hope. It is just the right flavor of melancholy reflection with beautiful production and vocal delivery from Mac. It will always have a special place in my heart as the piece of art which felt like the soundtrack to my life for a few of my hardest weeks emotionally as a young adult.

I’m an old head (39) and been a giant hip hop fan my entire life. I remember hearing about him from a friend of mine that worked at Complex. She interviewed him when K.I.D.S dropped and told me about him. Breath of fresh air. Kid was special. Wherever his soul is now, I assure you it’s making music. Connecting with people through music is his soul purpose. Not many people fall into that category, he certainly does though.

Less than 2 months ago my best friend passed away. He had some wild music taste but the one constant since we were kids was Mac. He started making music and gaining traction over the last year and seeing his story cut short similarly to Mac's will always hurt in a specific way. Rest in peace Mac, rest in peace Levi. I got out of bed and fired up youtube on the TV and just watched every single song from start to finish. I am mindblown at this finale. I got tears running down my face, yet i am so joyful bro. Inspiring how well Macs team and family have carried out this legacy. Im gonna go have a midnight smoke on the porch on this breezy summer night and gaze at the stars before hittin the sack. Ill be tired at work tmrw, but Im 8 months sober and wont be hungover. I honestly think I have been subconciously avoiding Macs discography during my sobriety just because these used to be the soundtrack to my addiction and depression. I went all the way to Pittsburgh last year just to walk around all the spots I'd known him to be and feel his spirit.. his first recording studio, Frick Park Market, his highschool.. I found his resting place and sobbed and laughed and sang along to a couple of my faves, laying there smoking some herb with him. Left him some of my coolest gemstones, then a huge gust of wind blew in and it was suddenly raining... I took that to be his thanks haha. The mural at the studio had me on my knees. It was so beautiful!! I cried pretty much the entire day I was there before I had to turn around and drive back. Mac has always and will always get me through the hardest of times.
