I just found this channel, I really love the way u can say so much in just a few minutes for every book. Your thoughts and a small story breakdown, you're really selling me on these books, amazing reviews.
Well, well, well... So good to see you back, Tori! I hope all is well. 🙏🏾🖤🖤 You know I didn't enjoy Dead Silence so I wasn't even going to bother with Ghost Station. Glad to know I chose wisely. 🤭 And I'm also in a "RUclips filming funk" right now so I feel you. Glad The Will Of The Many and Empire of Silence brought you back to us. 😁🥰 Happy reading, Tori! ☕️📚
Thank you, Nakia!! It’s nice to be back 🥰 You’re not missing a thing with ghost station lol. I hope you’re out of your filming funk soon and are also doing well!
Hi Tori! I enjoyed watching your video. The way you raved about the lies of Ajungo, and the will of the many convinced me to add them to my TBR. I had seen these books circle around the booktube world, but no one spoke of them as you did. Thanks!
Ahh I’m so glad you’re back! I only just discovered your channel at the start of this year, and you quickly shot up to one of my all time faves! You have great taste in books and speak about them so well 😊
Our BookTube queen is back, I was so happy to see you posting again!!! I just finished Chain Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah and it was so amazing. I'm finally down to currently reading one book after juggling a few for a while but after watching this you've really got me wanting to start The Will of the Many! I'm torn between that and Seven Blades in Black by Sam Sykes since it's been burning a hole in my forehead just by staring at me from my shelves 👀
Oooh, i am new to your channel, and i am now subscribed! I love how you present books, fav and not fav. Your joy in reading is contagious! I will now go watch your other videos and catch up with you ❤❤
All I can say is you will definitely not regret investing time into The Sun Eater, all the books are astonishing. It also only goes up from here, the first book had a lot of world building to do, which I didn't mind as I enjoy it, but Howling Dark and all the subsequent books are something special, it's made Ruocchio the only author I'm actively keeping up with. It helps he's so cool and well-spoken, his various interviews here on youtube are great. Excited to see where he goes next after finishing with this series and from now on whatever he writes will be a day one for me
Yayyyy! I'm so glad you enjoyed both The Will of the Many and Empire of Silence. I am so excited to see where the series goes. It was my book of the year last year. If you liked Empire of Silence, I think you'll love the next books in the series.
I really enjoyed The Lies of the Ajungo! Everyone has been enjoying Empire of Silence and Will of the many. I definitely want to pick them up to see if I like them.
I saw your video earlier and it reminded me I have those Moses Utomi novellas sitting on my shelf a little while now, a friend loaned me with some other stuff and insisted I read them but never got to it. So I did. And all I can say is HOLY CRAP. The Lies of the Ajungo was good, but The Truth of the Akele blows it completely out of the water. You should check it out soon!
So happy to see you back! Love your videos and I will add any book you recommend to my TBR. I just binged the Broken Earth trilogy by N K Jemisin and absolutely loved it
Too bad that some of your anticipated releases didn't live up to what you were hoping for, but yay that you found some new favorites! I've had books like that too, where I've picked them up at one point and not gotten that far, only to pick them up later and fall in love with them. Reading is such an interaction of the book and your own mental space at the time.
I did not have high hopes for Ghost Station because I didn't love Dead Silence. Although I already bought it, I doubt I'll read it based on your feedback.
I started "Empire of Silence" recently, but have to put it down, cause I wanted to finish "Lords of Uncreation" first ("The Final Architecture" series is soo good!!!) Now I am in the middle of "The Wall of Storms" (which is even better than the first book) and I am definitely picking up "Empire of silence" next, I am very exited about it !
Hi, new subscriber here !! I love your videos and reviews Hard agree on Silverblood Promise being heavily influenced by LLL, however I personally liked the first 30-40% of SP but felt so let down by the rest of it. To me 50-60% of the strength of LLL comes from the quality of writing and Silverblood was just not playing on the same field here. I was also very annoyed by the main character’s behaviour : the guy keeps on being a brat to influential and intelligent people for absolutely no reason and people still help him ?? What thé hell 😂 Regarding Shorefall I also felt let down but Locklands turns the whole series on its head and was absolutely excellent. It’s by far the best book in the series and is 100% worth reading. Prepare to get your heart wrenched out though
I'm so glad to see you again! I'm about to get The Will of the Many in from the library and now it sounds even more exciting. Hopefully everything has been going OK for you❤
Tori ! I missed you ...I kept coming to your page to check whether I missed something.... The will of the Many is one of my favourite books ever...and can't wait to read the Strength of the Few.... but I can't tank you enough for getting me into Red Rising 😊
Thank you for your description of Will of the Many, I’ve heard so much about this book, but your description and exuberance finally made me want to put this in my tbr. Thank you and I really enjoyed your video, first time viewer and looking forward to many more. ❤
Sun Eater has taken over in my house since December. My husband and I loved them and I am SO glad he read them with me so we could discuss them. To say they get better after book one is such an understatement. Dying for you to read on because the world gets so incredibly vast. They become their whole own vibe. Philosophical. Crazy cool sci fi with an epic fantasy feel. Horror. All the feels. They are just Sun Eater. I could drown in the lore! The ending of The Will of the Many knocked my socks off and I really want to reread it to see if I picked up on any of it. I will definitely reread it before the next one comes out.
My god, same. I've consumed all the sun eater books in december and early january, I could not wait for disquiet gods to come out, this series is on my mind almost daily no matter what I do lol
So happy to see your videos pop in my feed again! I just wanted to say that I read These Burning Stars by Bethany Jacobs on your recommendation and LOVED it so I'm definitely going to pick up some of these recs too!
This is my first watching your videos and I’m so excited to know we have such similar reading tastes. I adored The Will of the Many, The Empire of the Wolf trilogy and am currently working through Sun Eater (just finished book 3)
Ooof. Yeah spoilers in synopses is a huge pet peeve of mine. There’s no excuse for that. I will lower my rating for any book that does that. Shame on them. 😆
I’m reading through the sun eater books now. I wasn’t sure about the series with the first book but the second book really got me hooked. If you like the first one as much as you said the next books in the series will be a real treat.
I'm currently reading The Will of the Many liking it very much so far... and Empire of the Silence may happen this summer... I dont know yet! So many books 📚😃📖💙
I’m reading both the will of the many and empire of silence right now and having the best time! And I’m so excited because people say the sun eater series only gets better.
Love your concise reviews and enthusiasm for sci-fi! Sadly, Locklands is (imo) even worse than Shorefall, in all the ways you described and more. I was so disappointed with it that I am having a hard time wanting to pick up any more of his works or starting any of his new books. I look forward to your review of it. 🔑
Ok, the whole of the last 5 months, I have struggled to find that book!! Ahhh, nothing so far. Few but mehh! So I went to my book shelf and picked up Old Man's War by John Sclzi. Have you read this series! One I'd highly recommend. ❤
I’m excited to read The Will of the Many which I’m getting from my sister in June. Just read Chain-Gang All-Stars, liked it but didn’t love it. Did you think there was a lot of misogyny in Empire of the Vampire? I can handle a little but don’t want to get hit over the head with it. I am intrigued by it.
I’m so torn about The Will of the Many. I still haven’t decided whether to pick it up. I was late to the Red Rising group too and I wasn’t as blown away as the rest of the world.
I feel the exact same way about The Familiar. Well written, good story, etc. I was moved by her humility. I think there was a lesson for me in that. I dunno.
I was disappointed with Shorefall as well. And then I read Locklands and was just let down. Foundryside was a good time and I really enjoyed it but the trilogy got worse as it went for me🤷♀

I keep hearing sun eater gets even better and that has me so excited to continue! Can’t wait to read howling dark 🙌🏽
Agree with you 150% with Ghost Station. Was expecting so much more.
It was so disappointing 🥲

I really enjoyed The Lies of the Ajungo! Everyone has been enjoying Empire of Silence and Will of the many. I definitely want to pick them up to see if I like them.
Ajungo was definitely a nice surprise! I can’t stop thinking about TWOTM and EoS was just incredible! I hope you pick them up soon!

At last someone who doesn't like " The name of the Wind". Boring indeed and not that well written prosewise. I agree.
I want to read The Will of The Many but i couldn't get a copy so I'm reading the other trilogy by the author
