Now this is called a proper unbiased review. When i first saw it on 28th April, I felt very disappointed, I was waiting for this dive watch. Absolutely rubbish design, again ghost date, indices have no lume and no metal bracketing, no havelock theme on dial except ulgy "Havelock" written on it(they could add some underwater theme on the dial like addiesdive), hands are also ugly, legibility issues no antireflective coating, aluminium bezel, ugly and cheap rubber strap with clasp😂, clearly they have imported most of the parts from china, even the movement is china made(TMI) seiko movement.there is nothing special about this watch so I skipped it and went for boderry sea turtle (I saw your review). Now it comes with 200 mt water resistance and titanium bracelet. The watch is just perfect from all aspects and very lightweight due to titanium what I loved about sea turtle is that hexagonal lumed pattern on dial and octagonal indices with metal bracketing clearly indicating towards its name sea turtle. It seems dwc has put more efforts and cost on its back than its front in Havelock. Dada apni wb thke ghure chole gelen janteo parlam na😢.
I own an Addiesdive quartz submariner homage . When Havelock launched i thaught i should have waited to buy my first diver. But after watching ur video i guess i have made right choice as i got the Addiesdive for just under 3K inr. It also has same supeluminova lume and 316l stainless steel case and a good quality steel bracelet with a reliable miyota movement (i think it's the same movement as in casio duro).
While a quartz cannot be directly compared with automatic divers, but the watch you mentioned is great value for money and Miyota movements are extremely reliable.

Looks cannot be compared. Havelock and Vayu are of two different kind, one is a diver and the other is field. But yes, Vayu 2 from every perspective and all round specs, is the best product from DWC till now. Of course Havelock is brilliantly crafted, however it's a first make. I'm sure the improvement in further versions if planned, will be much better. Just like the difference from Vayu 1 to Vayu 2 is spectacular, DWC will surely game up the Havelock!! ❤

I bought the DWC Havelock, and i too have reviewed the watch on my channel. I always learn something from your videos. Your reviews are a lot superior, you are setting the bar high. Great review! Also, about the lume! I did basic swiming laps with the watch both in bright daylight and also at night, the legibility is decent. I think this watch can serve the purpose. Love from Himachal Pradesh
Havelock is a good watch in deed and DWC is also doing good - they are the no 1 Indian Watch Microbrand. I wanted to highlight the areas they should look into in their next releases.
1) box is important for many people who are not watch enthusiasts like us. maybe DWC was trying to cater to that. But if its lead to cost cutting with the watch components then it sucks 2) i am not sure on the impact of plastic holder vs metal holder but if its cost cutting only then its a shady mov by Dwc. also the strap sucks and thats the first thing observed. 3) on lume practicality agreed with the time readability perspective.. but if we look at diver watch its important to track the 1 hour under water hence lume on dial and lume on bezel(even if its on the lume pip) is very important so i would still side with Havelock on lume. 4)the spring issue in the crown seems to be with your specific piece. i had check d my colleague's watch and it was fine. seems to be a qc issue which again is disappointing. 5) sizing was a definite put off for me to order this and the white strip leads to readability issue during day hours. cant see it st one glance I want to purchase Vayu but now I am worried if they would put a plastic holder in the vayu series as well To summarize, DWC are taking bold steps in pricing and design for the Indian consumer which is a good thing but they also need to ensure proper execution. Else the consumer would easily forget this brand!!

This is a perfect size. I don’t understand Indian fascination of wearing clocks on wrists. That’s why Titan has ugly lineup. Vomit inducing. If you want a big watch, wear G-Shocks.
My havelock has dust particles inside the crystal, this issue was present in my everest 2 as well. Plus I got the watch in a very bad condition, the crown was unscrewed and it was upside down. This shows that DWC is not serious about their quality control and they do not reply to any emails. I am never buying their watches again. Its better to spend a bit more money and buy from reputed brands like Seiko and Citizen. Even Chinese brands like Boderry, addessdive far better in terms of quality and VFM
Technically, divers watch is not meant for leather strap, combining it with a good quality rubber or oyster style steel bracelet would be better option. But if leather strap makes you feel happier, just go for it 😊
But I do sense a general disappointment in your tone and tenor on this one, compared to say, the boderry Sea turtle. In fact i have a qn for you - if you had to pick 1 dive watch, would it be the sea turtle or the Havelock?
Vayu with 100m WR is a diver watch as well and I will pick Vayu over Havelock at under 10k range. When I go to 12k range, Boderry Seaturtle will get tough competition from Invicta Pro Diver. But I will keep Boderry ahead because of features like Titanium case and sapphire crystal.

I own a Havelock and * completely* agree on the strap assesment from your end. Chindipana kar dia wahan pe DWC ne. Regarding lume, my assessment would differ from yours. The colour tint and the amount of lume used is on a different level on the Havelock. Dont own the Vayu2 so cant compare with that one from my end.
Also, as a pure diver watch, I believe the Titan Octane delivers more bang for the buck - crazy lume, 200 mtr capable, AR coating, proper screw down crown, lovely clickable bezel and I personally got one at roughly half the price of the Havelock. What more could one want from a diver watch?
Havelock is also a good watch indeed, but I highlighted the areas where DWC should focus to improve in their next releases. As DWC is the best Indian microbrand as of now - I expect that they should improve in each releases.

Size is not an issue, I have 7.5 inch wrist and I wear both comfortably. It depends on your comfort zone.
