- Beach Bear performing the show "I Heard It Through The Grapevine".
On-going Progress of New Rock-afire Explosion Beach Bear, fine-tuned the cylinder movements speed... Still having some issues with the turn-act (rotary cylinders for the head and both arms). They leak some air and doesn't properly turn and the leg bend cylinder are disabled as it rests below the stage.
I don't know much about animatronics, only the very basics of how they work. But I can tell that this one is very well taken care of. Keep up the great work!
He almost looks mint! You really took good care of him!

How did you make the eyes move like that with so little space for actuators?
These kind of animatronics uses servos for the eye movements. It's quite interesting!
My robot is electric and uses servos for all its movements.
Its crazy to me how the movements actually look rather smooth for an animatronic like this.
Awesome I remember when you could barely even hear the music because he was in such disrepair
Yeah!
I Heard he has the Tinley park room also for your information
Oops I meant dook
He has the Tinley park dook larue animatronic
He Was under the blue tarp in goodnight sweet heart and Lime Coconut
I never realized how much movement could be done with the eyes! These bots had so much potential, I'm so glad you have one working so well!
It looks like the eyes are using a form of servo motors. I highly doubt it, but it sure looks like it.

@? Dave? how ?
Very cool! It's so different from the other Rock-afire characters, it's almost like it's from a different era. I was wondering how the forearm rotation was done? It looks like it's some kind of rotating cilinder?
I think it's from the Mijjin era :)
Yep the forearm and the head uses rotary cylinders and these are the newer version of rockafire explosion where they never sold much before slowing down production at CEI.
@@connorleschinsky I didn't know there was a 2nd generation (apart from the one Aaron is still working on). Are the plastic parts milled or cast/injection molded? It also explains the servos for the eyes (I thought you'd added them yourself). All in all, this looks a lot more refined and moves more naturally!
@@connorleschinsky where did you find him
@@ltdeditions yeah... things got really tough because CEC wanted to keep using the characters and take the rights to them and cut their creator entirely out of it, after cec and the reskinning they didn’t have much of a chance to expand past that especially with layoffs :( the creator had to choose to leave and keep his rights or have his characters and life work kept by cec
this robot is incredible, did well with restoring and maintaining him! good job!
Take care of him he is gonna be perfect
I’m speechless. I never really liked the design aspects of the mijin but the animatronic work is absolutely stellar. I love this thank you for uploading a performance with just the skeleton, it’s a real sight to see!

this is incredible! the movements are so smooth and natural!!! he's clearly very well taken care of :]
Yea it was from Odyssey fun world Naperville location cuz they sold them
You have made a really good job repairing this character
Hay can I buy? A show biz robot from you?
I’d love to go to a restaurant with animatronics like this
[softly] Don't
@Garbage Guy i might go to creative engineering one day
@@GoldenT.rexStudiosCool
same
Only restaurants with animatronics nowadays are some crappy servo bots with like 3 movements. We need animatronic shows like these again.
Damn, this mad lad's frame makes him look like he's capable of walking on his own, and those movements are _SLICK!_
Wonder if it would be possible with a Smaller Compressor built into the frame?
Maybe, but it'd be too heavy for the light-weight mech that seems to use a lot of plastic
You did a great job restoration him.👍
Where you learn to doing this robot? At robotic universal?
Most of these were self-taught and learning through trial and errors, went to college for mechanical engineering degree to expand knowledge deeper. You can achieve these from college, trade-schools, or even just browsing through youtube and trying it yourself.
@@connorleschinsky ok! Thank you
I always thought the new rock a fire never got the attention they deserved. Great job and keep up the good work!

Oooh, cool! Good luck with this proyect!
Heey, glad to see I'm not the only one using these videos as a reference. Although I am not making a game (yet?), I am trying to make sure things are as accurate as needed in the story and design. The main animatronic character is named Misty, a snow leopard.
OMG :0

F**k having statues in my house, Id rather have one of these.
I was thinking about getting into animatronics and restoring them where would you even start
The eyelids kinda look like hard hats because of the colour and shape.
That was great! Do you plan on making any videos about how they work?
It’s a Endo ??
No
Are you going to upload a video with his cosmetics on?

hello connor! i want to know how does the mouth move? i am working on a animatronic from a very popular video game five nights at freddy's i need to know how the mouth moves to continue if you could tell me that would be great!

The mouth is actuated by a pneumatic cylinder. There is also a secondary cylinder on the lip, for more expression.
THIS IS OUTSTANDING, please keep it up connor!
Where's his fur?
And Connor will bring animatronics back
after FNAF:SB came out, my interest in animatronics was rekindled once again, only this time I'm not 10 years old anymore and have the idea to actually start researching them. So, for an entire day, all I did was go down a long youtube rabbithole of learning about animatronics, the way they work, their history, ect ect ect and during that search I discovered your channel. I just can't stop watching and rewatching your videos, they fascinate me. I wasn't alive for the era of animatronics, and I didn't get to live in the country where the last chuck e cheeses stood. At the start of the day, I didn't even know the names of any major title animatronics other than Chuck-e himself, now I'm emotionally attached to all of them, and that's after only a DAY of hyperfixating. I can't imagine your passion for these robots, it's astounding.
Ayo bro. I just started some research too. Whould you mind telling me some stuff you learned? i kinda struggle with finding videos who explain how they work. Something with air and servo motors idk.
sure! What do you want to know exactly?
@@numberonesnarkfan Everything you can tell me about how they work. I heard some use servo motors to move components and some pneumatic stuff. I know what servo motors are and how they work but i don't think every component is working with them. I mean there are always those cables with air.
I unfortunately don't know that much about how they work other than the basics. I've never put one together myself or had the privilege of even seeing one firsthand. Honestly I recommend just looking through a bunch of the videos of this channel because the creator makes some videos detailing how they work.
@@numberonesnarkfan Alright. thanks

I'm sorry but I find 1:18 so funny😂
It’s really cool seeing the airing up process, you’re the first person I’ve watched who has bothered showing it.
I'm glad I found this video! So I've just recently as of today wanted to 3d cad a mijjin animatronic mech to obviously 3d print into a functional thing. Only problem is I can't find any references except for rockafire replay and even then I want a more detailed explanation rather than doing on my own. Because you have a much could you give me a detailed images and diagrams stuff like that to help with this project because not a lot of info is on these animatronics. Please and thank you this would help a lot
