      @L It's honestly not that hard. Voice actors can make a living changing their voice to sound like the original characters. And some of them are pretty well done. That should honestly be the least of your worries. The bigger worry would be who is going to make the animatronics since the warehouse is shut down (if I remember correctly?). Voices are easy to replicate. Robots not so much. -shrug-

      The biggest problem (or so I've found) is that the moneymen (producers, financiers,etc.) have gotten it into their heads that anyone can be a writer/painter/artist" and have subsequently decided to replace actual artists figuring they can do the job just as well, on their own. This is incredibly stupid for two reasons: while practice and effort does play an important part in the development of talent - you actually have to HAVE talent to begin with. The second reason is that marketing focus groups (who've usually taken the place of actual writers) are usually so devoid of creativity that they end up relying on fan feedback/fanfic for how to write the actual plots to movies (which is exceptionally stupid to those who understand just how disparate fans can be from one another and how divisive it is to prioritize one group's preferences at the expense of the other). Basically, to use a sort of "Simon Cowell" type approach: not everyone has the talent to write stories. You know, I used to hate that guy until I realized just how difficult it was to have to turn to someone with a ton of enthusiasm who lacks the most basic instincts and true passion required to be a serious artist and say: "You might consider a different job, mate. Sorry."

    Watching this makes me kind of sad for Fechter... he really is stuck firmly in the 80s, with a lot of big plans but no real way to implement them. He had a LOT of opportunities to really go far, but his stubborn streak and his inability to play nice with others is ultimately what killed off CEI and all his big dreams, and it continues to get him into trouble to this very day. If he had played his cards right, he could still be working with CEC and the Rock-afire might've lived on in the restaurants, Concept Unification might not've ever had to take place, but he was too darn stubborn to work with them, so ultimately, they had to cut him loose.

    • @megan4661
      @megan4661 4 года назад +256

      I was thinking the exact same thing just afraid to voice it in fear of getting people riled up. Being slightly stubborn is ok but being so stubborn you're hurting your company and the product you love is bad. I'm sad that he was so stubborn he ruined it for everyone including himself. He could still be going strong if he had worked with people.

      I could understand him being stubborn, but he let it overrule opportunities that could've led to bigger and better things. I was saddened to see so many projects that have been on hold for YEARS because of him loosing money to not be able to continue what he does.
      A part of me hopes he gets himself together, and tries to do something to bring these back to life. They have so much potential, i'd hate to see such great animatronic's like this go to waste : (

    • @Sarah_Sparkles
      @Sarah_Sparkles 4 года назад +61

      also thought you have to imagine the pressure that buisness tycoons probaby put on him probably wanting to take all his property for their own and fully cut him out of the picture because that's what happens and at the end of the day everything is about money. So alot of decisions he made probably were neccessary to keep what was his, yes it unfortunately ended in the end of what could have been amazing anyway but look at what's happening now a days, it's all coming back

    • @KudokuMaoh
      @KudokuMaoh 4 года назад +39

      @@Sarah_Sparkles But thats what business is at the end of the day, its a balancing act of trying to see what you are willing to gain and what you will give up for it. Alot of creative types are never good at doing business because the pride they take in their work is too important to them and thats why they are unwilling to give it up. But this also hurts them because then they miss out on alot of possibilities and lucrative ventures that could help them further themselves in that line of work,. Thats why they usually partner up with a manager or someone who handles these types of things for them.
      Thats not to say its a bad or good thing because there is no wrong or right answer, just which decision the artist/creator is willing to make and consequence to deal with. You have many on both sides, like Fechter who wants to maintain ownership over his creations and on the other side you have others who are happy to sell their creations because they're just content seeing them entertain people.

    he seems like a great guy. he's stuck in the 80s, reminiscing the "good old days" of the rockafire explosion. hearing his view on FNAF was pretty nice as well. poor dude's got all these ideas and has no idea where to implement them, and i have to say that they're really charming even though they could be considered creepy. the way he crafted them and cares about them is admirable. i'm fifteen years old and i grew up with five nights at freddy's, chuck e cheese, and indie horror games that paint robots as evil. but it's really cool to see how far we've come since showbiz pizza. i hope aaron can find some good jobs that put his skill to great use, because he's sure as hell got a gift. thanks for the video carpetbagger!

      I thought this for 8 years. After getting back into CEI and RAE I found out Aaron isn't the nicest person in the world, from stealing from companies and denying people purchasing his products because he feels like it to using his "RUclips Powers" to take down content he doesn't like by sending co-ordinated attacks to people.
      Aaron has an active law suit against again Smitty's Super Service Station in Mississippi because they use "His property" which btw the name "Smitty's Super Service Station" does not belong to Aaron.
      Aaron has also threatened to sue people and (maybe?) has sued people who program their own Rock Afire Shows with their own purchased and owned animatronics. Billy Bob's Wonderland owns a share of the rights to the RAE from my understanding but everything they do such as restoring the characters Aaron will publically lie and defimate them because he holds an grudge against them.
      Aaron also allegedly also has an active warrant out for his arrest in the state of West Virginia from Billy Bob's Wonderland for "running off with over 5k dollars in deposits and repair fees along with all original Mac valves".
      (you can find more about the Billy Bob's Wonderland situation on Braylon's instagram @rockafire_fanpage (current owner of BBW i think)
      Aaron has and continues to bully and harrass people in the comment sections of his videos.
      He pushes his political views through the Rock Afire Explosion brand (can see on twitter) also posting a video of Earl saying the 'N-Word' with the hard r (voiced by him)
      There is a lot more you can find out about him with a single google search
      I really wish Aaron wasn't as bad of a person as he is, I looked up to him when I was younger, I wanted to be like him, It's crushing just learning the stuff about him.
      (Also, Just found this out but I commented on this video roughly a week ago saying "Great video, but why did you keep interupting Aaron?" too which The CarpetBagger removed the comment, The CarpetBagger is also not a very good character if you look into him)

    I like that he mentioned stuff like Five Nights at Freddy's and he's not embarrassed or annoyed that this stuff was turned into a horror setting, but instead he's amused and casual. Like for example, the Chuck E. Cheese brand seems to actively despise the game and was probably one of the reasons they removed the characters. But not this man, he is just happy with how things are.

    I can't believe its already been about 3 years since I visited this place. I was 13, and had fallen down the rabbit hole of animatronic history due to FNaF. I convinced my parents to visit this place because we were already going to Orlando to visit Disney World. It was a great time, way better than a regular old museum. I feel oddly at home in messy workshops, they feel so inspiring. Aaron was a super fun guy also, he really likes to talk about this stuff, you can tell it really excites him. We both kept trying to talk about stuff at the same time, it drove my little sister crazy, my mom told me that she apparently whispered "oh god there's two of them" but I didn't hear her lol. I told him I wanted to be an engineer too one day, and he was very encouraging. At the end of the tour he gave me a newspaper from when his workshop blew up and signed it, and wrote something like "Follow your dreams, just don't blow your house up!" on it.
    I'm 16 now, and while my mild obsession with 80s animatronics has calmed down, I still have him to owe for my interest in engineering. My goal in life is still to become an engineer, and I don't think I would've been as interested in it if it weren't for my fascination with his work. I still have that newspaper, it's in a box I keep things of emotional value in. So thanks for that, Aaron, and I haven't blown my house up yet!

    its nice seeing Aaron Fechter working on Rockafire because from all the crap he went through he did not quit and now his back . even tho I did not grow up in the 80s . I begin to love 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s movies when I was 6 or 5 years old and now im 17 years old and im the same as always . I love fnaf went it first came out because it has a great story that keeps of building into more of a crazy story . fnaf is not the reason why I love Rockafire, fnaf has a different reason why I love it . I love Rockafire because I saw the Rockafire Explosion Documentary and I came to appreciate it because I feel what Aaron Fechter and what everyone was going through from the animatronics and other things . fnaf and Rockafire Explosion gave me something I haven't felt for a long time . the power of nostalgia and being a creative kid with imagination and others that also gave me nostalgia like Jim Henson's work such as the bear in the big blue house and the labyrinth and dont forget the dark crystal and others that gave me a feeling a kind of power that makes love any movies that are low or big and seeing things always in a different point of view from any movie and enjoy for what it is and not be harsh from it . sorry for going off topic but that's mostly how I feel .

      I have ADD, and its kinda strange because on one hand it can be really hard to deal with because ill feel slow and spacey and distracted if I don't take my meds. Some days are worse than others in that regard. But on the other hand, I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today without it. I feel like if I didn't have it I'd stress over my appearance more and be less observant of social cues (while I can get distracted without meds I can still appreciate and focus on much smaller things) etc. I feel like it's allowed me to be a lot more humble and understanding, in a strange way. I'd say having ADHD/ADD definitely makes you view and experience the world in a different way. 😊

    That guy is a genius!! I loved showbiz pizza. Went to the one in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I remember them singing “talking in your sleep” by the romantics. And the only time I ever played whack a mole was in showbiz pizza. Thank you for this video!! Mind blown!

    As much as I don't like him as a person, I have to respect his preservation of his creations and the archive he keeps. It's neat to see the history as it was back then. Too bad he's racist af.

    I think this video is great. I love all of creative engineering animatronics. But the creator is a jerk, and you gave money too him. That's all I care about, other than that this is cool

    Wow I was just thinking about the rock afire explosion and going to creative engineering (I’ve been wanting to go for years) and what is the first thing I see when I go onto RUclips when I check what has been uploaded by people I’ve subscribed to? This. It must be a sign lol
