Ibrahim Traore and the AES is a good place to start. Leaders just need to agree to unite, kick out the Colonizers and charge fair market value for all resources traded with other continents/countries and trade fairly with each other. You have no idea (as most Americans don't). You have been presented with a boogey man that feeds your preconceptions of Africa. Please do what this man has done - go to Africa (preferably Burkina Faso, Niger or Mali) and wake up to the problems there! Then change your narrative and start looking for solutions rather than blaming problems on issues that don't exist. Fair market value incorporates the level of risk, quality of infrastructure and local taxes and costs required to get a resource out of a country. If African countries are high risk (always having coups), have poor infrastructure and characterised by corruption - then yes the return on a country's resources for it's people are not going to be as good as elsewhere!

This isn't just an African issue. Its a human issue and that's the problem.

What is devastating for the people on the continent of Africa, is the division of tribes and the vast corruption of their leaders.
Africa will never see the light of day if its people don’t start holding their corrupt politicians and governments accountable.
Many of these leaders and citizens are still in that colonial mindset by allowing their former colonial masters to continue pulling their strings and controlling their natural resources.
They should take notes from China and Singapore.
For example, China stamped out all foreign interference by closing its borders to all foreign entities and to reeducate their citizens to be patriotic and to support their country’s interests and development, by doing everything the Chinese way.

I for one am a European-educated PhD in STEM (living in Africa) and I can tell you that the problems Africa is facing were imposed on us at "independence" by international organizations where we have no seat at the table. The IMF. The World Bank. The UN. The WTO. They all facilitated the signing of contracts that made us lose our rights to the natural resources in our soil. Our electoral processes have been infiltrated by the West to impose political puppets. Our votes are transmitted to servers located in Europe and come back to us with their appointed leader. As such, Africa only got partial political independence but not economic independence. Unless those shackles are broken, no Black American with fancy ideas will help Africa.

What we have had since 1960, with a few exceptions, is the tribalist who is only interested in himself and his tribe. Without leaders who could unify the people and work towards building the state then this will go on unfortunately. The people could stop the madness, but they must also see past tribe, however, they are easily misled by the tribalist ruler. All end up existing no greater than slaves to others.

Don't let your leaders sale your lands to foreign interest, unless the people of the land are the direct beneficiaries, and only allow them to lease the land. The Colonizer was able to conquer Africa because Africa was undivided long before Colonization takeover. In 1885 Europeans met at the Berlin Conference and divided up parts of Africa for themselves and drew borders without the consent of African leaders, meanwhile pretending to be their friends. Africa couldn’t compete militarily because the Europeans had Machine Gun technology while the Africans had bow and arrows, spears and at best rifles and muskets. They were mowing down Africans in an approximate ratio of a thousand to one. So basically it was technology along with evil demonizing behavior that allow the Europeans to take over Africa. Also tribal division made it easier to divide them. African leaders allowing Europeans to capture and sell slaves on their land backfired into Colonization that like a cancer spreaded throughout the continent, even to lands that was against it. For the Europeans Africa was a gold mine and still is today for countries like France. It was like beautiful big paradise with no hunger or poverty before they came and destroyed it.

Facts. Europeans were also divided, but they had developed a consciousness as "White Europeans" while the Africans didn't have a consciousness of "Black Africans". They still only identified with their ethnic group. So when the foreigners came, they allied with them to attack their traditional enemies. That was their biggest mistake: you should always attack the stranger before fighting your familiar enemies, because with the foreigner you don't know what they will do whereas your old enemies are predictable. Honestly the weaponry really made all the difference, if the Sokoto Caliphate and Asante Empire could have somehow gotten their hands on machine guns (Maxim Gun), they probably would have remained independent.

Please stop talking ignorantly about a country you have ZERO KNOWLEDGE of, I am a Nigerian 🇳🇬 and I can tell you everything he said was 100% correct. The natural resources in Nigeria is UNBELIEVABLE, the richest black man on earth is a Nigerian, the richest billionaire black families on earth are Nigerians. We have more than enough to take care of every Nigerian, but corruption and greed wouldn’t allow it. He was more than spot on.

I'm from South Africa and man, I have to admit, it feels a little helpless sometimes but we chose this and it will all make sense one day.

Love conquers all my brothers. Many of these ills can be overcome when men and women make in their minds to love their people and do whats right by them.

    Evil is universal.........
Truth was spoken here, live set apart. Create the Kingdom you desire. Invite the like minded to come & govern accordingly.

GB2; that right there, is what I cringe at each time I’m in commute throughout Africa! Your video clip between (7:25-7:50) 😢is the meat of this 10:03 video. Each time I step foot on African soil, I fall in love with the villagers (the poor). Then I began to research its governance and SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️! The sad part, it’s going to take a major uprising and placing one’s life/freedom in jeopardy. BTW, I’m very familiar with Dubai/Abu Dhabi. I’ve journeyed there several times. Knowing a person like you; GB2, can’t just turn a blind-eye. QUESTION: What plan(s) could you derive to bring more balance among earthly-beings? Count Me In
