I live beneath my meager means and I love being retired. I was emotionally exhausted after many years in health care while raising a special needs child alone. I moved to es cape toxic relation ships. I am never lonely and seldom bored. But now I am inspired! Now I see myself house sitting a villa in Tuscany! Or a campground in the Rockies! Thank you for waking me up!

My guest on this latest episode of the Sixty and Me Show is Nancy Collamer, the author of a wonderful book called "Second Act Careers: 50 Ways to Profit from Your Passions in Semi-Retirement". In our interview, we discuss how women in their 60's are looking for flexible jobs and Nancy gives us useful tips on how to find the perfect solution. Working with women to build meaningful and unique part time careers, Nancy gives concrete examples that allow you to work part time. Enjoy the video!

I guess this was the wrong video for me.
These are all self starter jobs.
I was hoping for suggestions of
    WAGE EARNER / LABOR JOBS.
I can no longer do heavy lifting, nor work that is physically demanding.
I need to earn aprox. $17. 00 an an hour, or better.
And I do not want a sitting job.
    I am very active.
It can be customer service related, or behind the scenes.
Do you have a video about that ?

Great show... watching it now so long after it was made, which it included means of finding some of those jobs and barters... in particular the Senior Move Manager positions as well as the Travel House Caretaker options. Is that possible in an updated version?

Yes no one cares about older men anymore. We are the minority in public media. Mostly just minimum wage jobs for us😢

being older is sad because there is no real way to be a part of something unless you have money. Some of us dont' have good luck with all of these great ideas. We go on RUclips and listen to people talk about the end of the world for the answers.

Listening to “people talk about the end of the world”.
      How is that productive?
