Our ROTARY POWERED ATV is a Monster! Rotary ATV Part 5

- We finally got the Rotary Powered ATV dialed in! We started off by re-doing our jackshaft system using a Comet 94c Driver Pulley and 780 series Driven pulley from Gopowersports. Next we re-geared the jackshafts and corrected the centerline distance for the pulleys to get proper belt engagement. After that we added a new rear brake master cylinder, tightened the chain up and took it for a test drive. Couldn't be happier with the results, it pops huge wheelies and is an absolute blast to ride. We were hitting about 40mph and it still has more in it!
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next video!

Awesome collab
Thank you, You guys really put on an Oscar winning performance 😂
I was SOOO confused when the video started!! LOL
That was awesome!!!
That was Amazing
I thought I clicked the wrong video 😂. That was amazing!
I was like dude I've already watched theirs
Me too lol
😂 i got happy for a second
Same 😂😂😂
I always knew that the Sachs rotary could be used for some great build. I've always wanted to build a minicar with one. I remember when I was a kid there was a local toy store that had a legit kid's car that had a 5HP B&S engine with a 3 speed manual trans, a legit clutch/brake/gas pedal assembly, and it did 60+ MPH. When I was 8 (I'm 39 now) I asked my mom for a minibike for my birthday, so she went and bought me a small 5HP B&S powered minibike. It rarely started, and when it did start it ran like shat, but it hauled. With the gearing that was on it, it would do 50+ MPH. My dad got tired of screwing with it, so he went and bought me a brand new one when we lived in Allentown, PA. I LOVED that thing. The brakes was a pedal with a steel plate that would rub on the rear tire to slow it down...lmao It was basically the same bike, 5HP B&S engine, but it would do wheelies. I remember showing off for the kids on the bus when I was dropped off one day. They were all jealous. I would ride it down the hill from my house where a local guy would always pile his leaves in a long row. He probably hated us, but my friends and I would always ride our bikes down the hill and fly into them. I had an awesome childhood. My mom got a new Mercedes one year and she parked her Ford Tempo in the empty lot next to our old house, well I got the bright idea to put on my dad's glasses and wear a beret and I took her car for a ride when I was 11. My best friends and I would take our parents cars for rides all the time back then and while I never got caught, they did a couple of times...lmao
Sounds like you had a blast!
The intro totally got me 😂 actually thought i fat-finger clicked some recommended video on the side. And yeah the quad is fire 🔥🔥
Best intro ever lol
Super cool intro. What made it really gangster is that you didn't have them in your video. 🤣😎😎😎😎
Dang looks like you got the gearing figured out really well. Just enough torque to pull wheelies and still rips on to a decent top end. Plenty fast for something that sized.
I thought I clicked on the wrong channel...LOL...Nice Work Guys...Those Rotary Engines are special...Back in the 70's they had a kit to build a plastic see threw Rotary Engine, like looking inside the engine and it works...You should locate one for your shop as a talking piece if you can find one..
Nice build guys!!
Love it!!
Nice Opening!
Epic intro!
Charles. I'm Stuck!🤣 Cool vid.
That cars and cameras feature= new follower
That intro was golden lol
best intro ever.
Was not expecting Cars And Cameras lol
Watching you guys over the last few years, even through your recent transitions has been really cool to watch. Keep at it
Cars and cameras!!! Haha nice vid
Nice intro and wheelie. Got a good chuckle out of me. Awesome build!
Looped
I love it 😀
Xlnt work guys 💯👏🏾👏🏾
Great job guys. You changed a lot on this video from the first build and it looks like it really paid. Loved the intro of the video so funny. Hope school is going well for you guys. Thinking and praying for you and Daniel. God Bless!!
That wheelis so easy! Keen to see these future power upgrades 🤔
Love the cameo @carsandcameras ! Always love seeing two of my favourite channels working together!
Great intro
Intro got me 🤣
That’s what it’s all about. Having a good time.
Cool intro, i thought i clicked cars and cameras byy accident!
Fun start, and great info about the drive set-up.A little richer on oil ans have fun! Now for an 'earworm'...The wheels on the quad go round and round, round and round.....
I was like what the fwuck!? At the start 😂😂
Turbo!!!! And u should drag race a banshee
Use the rear brakes when it stands up like that and you can control the wheelie... and also you have a grab bar it's not going to turn over on you ,.. you don't have to let go of it like that.thats a really good way to get hurt ....stay safe and nice build...
Wow
I was like wait what a collab
Mint 👌🏻
That rotary is awesome! Sounds great and really rips well with the new gearing, well done guys.
I knew something was up when I saw rotary engine quad build with the Briggs and Stratton boys. LoL 😂
Turbo! Or one of those little superchargers! That would be awesome!!
you should hit some jumps with that rotary lol!
😂😂😂 I got so confused at the start
3 days ago, how’d I miss this!
That was funny 👍👍👍👍👍
nice!
That's pretty sweet guys! I'd gear more for torque than top end. Trust me, torque is way more fun for shorter burst of throttle over and over, you could probably power slide if u did go down on top end! See yall later and look forward to more content!
Just turned a blaster from lame to f#ckin lame!!!! Great job. Didn't know that was possible.
He really said: brap brap brap brap
I love my adorable Harbor freight lathe! Thier awesome for small setups and mini projects! Had min since 2018 and it hasn't let me down yet
it sounds like a angry leaf blower haha
I got a 94 Polaris 400l 2x4 and the transition would work perfect for the rotary.
I have a KM-24 Arctic Cat Wankel rotary and when you get these engines and transmissions tuned perfectly, you'll be absolutely amazed at how much potential power these engines actually have! Add a turbocharger or small supercharger to boost your compression ratio and hold on tight, these engines will come alive! The only downside is that they use a Bosch ignition system with points and not electronic ignition. But there's a way around that if you decide you want more rpm's? But awesome to see you guys didn't give up on her?!? Really these engines have a nice potential as your figuring out LMFAO!
I feel like if this was something made by the Yamaha/Honda engineers and mass produced it could be the next banshee
Nice machine! Would you consider adding a Reed-Valve to the 32 mm intake duct hole?
Yanmar Diesel had big improvements from this.
If you manage to change position of side plates, intake at Rear, transfer at front, you could improve further performance and economy, the transfer duct under air flow from cooling fan will reduce temperatura of mix entering working chamber.
The 'Plenum chamber' in David Garside Norton birotor, cooled mix from 90° C to 50° C, huge improvement in BMEP.
With carbon fibre reeds, lasting 8000 km in 2-Strokes, dangers of a metal part entering working chamber will be reduced. Metal reeds last 13000 km.
If you find a way to inject fresh air into exhaust port, as early Mazda engines, emissions will be greatly improve, but how, and how much air?
A Citroën single vase 32 mm diameter carb, it has idle brake and acceleration pump, available from cipere.fr, just by changing idle jet to specs in Bing carb, slightly reduced diameter of main and low jets, would yeald advantages.
These carbs are adapted to work with alcohol in gas mixes, and with pressurized air from engine cooling fan.
Blessings +
lol, had to check i was on the right channel, CaC are cool too, I subscribe to you both ✌️
Nice build those C&C guys are like roaches, when you see one there is always more lmao, loved the skit, now you have to take that quad off road and see what it can do...
This is a cool project! BTW if the exhaust is glowing it might be running lean.
I wonder how this ATV would do on the Cars & Cameras Grand Prix course? My guess is in the top 5. Nice Wankel engine, I was a big fan of them until I heard how often you have to take the entire engine apart and change out the seals, even though the engine is easy to take apart, and very powerful for it's size.
That thing is awesome, it almost sounds like an old fashioned 2 stroke lol now get some original fenders for it, in white/blue
Nice! Now put another one of those engines in a Sachs G3 moped! 😁
Clearance Clarence...Roger Roger...Over Over...Huh?
It ain't going to win any races but it looks fun. 👌
Need to tune the clutch
Sounds cool try gettng 450cc dirt bike muffer like FmF would make it sound good.
Brap brap brap brap nothing like the sound of a Rotary
If your exhaust is glowing then your jetting is off. Probably too lean or there's an air leak.
False....
i was so confused when i saw the intro lol
Great build. How does it do offroad and on the hills. 👍
When you guys tighten a set screw run it in tight , loosen it , re-tighten , loosen etc. several times to seat the screw and it will stay tight much better.
That intro actually got me confused lol
Man I would love to read a plug out of that motor! It sounds like the fuel mixture is wrong on the secondary jet. I wonder if the flexibility of jets in a carb for a Wolverine or something would bring that puppy around?!
I put way too much hot sauce on my rice yesterday, really feeling it on the way out today. 🥵
When you run the driven pulley on the other side you do have to disassemble them and move it to the other slope. I'm pretty positive you guys know this I'm just needing to say it.
awesome build, get some wheel spacers on there to widen the stance and she"ll be much more stable overall
get a longer belt and punt the secondary variator directly on the swivel of axle without those shaft jacks or jack shafts yeah it involves machining and sourcing a belt out of agricultural use but still better reasults and reliabylity
Wearing a helmet that’s not done up makes so much sense ,sick build !!
I love the way this thing sounds, now you just need a muffler shaped like a snail. Hehehe
It sounds right.
@RobDahm would be proud.
I don't think cvt is ment for low rpms?
Someone tag Rob Dahm in this!! He would for sure buy a rotary Quad
I can’t wait to see this thing with plastics on it😂
Sounds like a old pw80
Is it a KM24?
Mama Gump been getting around with that broom...
Let me be clear,I never had a clue who You are if it wasn't for Ike,John and that goofball Charles...I subbed on that alone and left this comment for Your algorithms...Be Well...
If your exhaust started to glow at wide open throttle you should consider riching the fuel mixture
Is that a old Suzuki Lt250r frame sure looks like it
now that you got that thing dialed can you put a reverse forward box in it?
It's still slow LOL but cool idea
I thought that my brain farted, sirs
I'm like, "WTF I just watched a C&C video yesterday, when did they change the name??" 🤣
frame looks like my 86 quadrunner mine has a steel body
Sounds like a leaf blower
Is there a such thing as a dirt bike transmission
what is that muffler?
Always cover the rear brake
Charles gave it away in the beginning.......
Hey me and my friend have a Citi car in that exact color but the body is badly fallen apart what do you have planned for yours would love to know or even collab if you want would love to hear from you how you got it
Should have used a old 2 stoke 65 80 or 85 dirt bike engine take the head off an use just the bottom end for the trans then u could run a chain straight from the rotary to the dirt bike engines crank that way u would have a clutch an gears
Could use a few tips on suping my Briggs and stratton 281707 engine if anyone knows anything
That intro confused me 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
