I passed the PMP about a year ago. It felt like a long scrum master test. 1 thing I can say that made it easy is I already had my scrum master certification and understood Agile pretty well. It felt like 90% of the exam was Agile.
Also can we get a video on project coordinator and project scheduler roles and how they can be beneficial in breaking into project manager roles? Thanks 🙏
Great video! PMO (Project Management Office) could also be dysfunctional and not have the information that is mentioned in this video. Now, they should have it -- don't be surprise if they do not. Then - you need to investigate how the PMO is used and viewed in that particular company.
Awesome video! Perfect for easing those first-day jitters as a project manager. The tips on tools and overcoming imposter syndrome are spot-on. Thanks for sharing this helpful guide!
I’m so glad you found it helpful. Don’t worry, everyone feels like an imposter in the beginning but you’ll definitely start to feel more confident overtime. Rooting for you! And thank you for supporting my channel.
Great video, Veronica! This was right on time for me and your advice was spot on. I felt better I was not alone in feeling like an "imposter". LOL. And you are right...anything new that we do we can naturally feel awkward at first.
Consultant - there are several ways to do it, through agencies is one way. However, the best way is through networking and relationships. Once you build a solid reputation in your respective industry, companies will seek you out as opposed to you having to look for opportunities.
@@anuconsulting thank you so much for your response. I am a Navy Vet that has been doing PM for a while but new to the civilian sector. I am trying to go consultancy route but I am so lost. Could you give me some tips on here or potentially connect on linkedin?
lol yes, I’m ok! We film 8 episodes in a day and I was just exhausted. I didn’t want to take it out though because my whole channel is based on authenticity and that was a real moment.

Good to know. PMI is finally realizing that agile is not a fad. Congrats on the pass!

Sure! I’m getting ready to film my next 8 episodes and I’ll be sure to cover that. Let me know if there is anything else that would be helpful. ☺️

Yes, so true. I have seen some poorly run PMO’s in my day so you definitely have to gauge them.

Do you work as an independent consultant or employee? If you are doing it independently how are you doing it?
