I cried the most when my horse died. When Arthur went back and said "thank you" as our horse passed away nearly killed me. I had the same horse for the whole game. How did I cry over a virtual horse? This game is something else man.
Same. I took care of my horse, feeding her every after a long ride, brushing her every time she gets the slightest of dirt on her. I even verbally apologize whenever I'm not paying attention to the road and accidentally ram her into one of the trees... When Arthur took his time thanking her despite the wild gunfight behind his back, it really broke me into tears. R.I.P Shadowfax (My Horse)
My great, great, great, grandfather died in 1899 at the age of 59. He wrote in journals every day since he was 19 up until a month before his death. I've been reading the journals lately, has newspaper clippings and other stuff in it. Pretty cool stuff. His relatives came from Germany in 1730's and set up shop in southeast PA.
That’s so cool! It must feel like a real trip back in time reading through it all. It almost feels like your GG Grandfather had a lot of foresight into the future, knowing that relatives of the future would likely want to know what his time was like.
@@taylorkeller363 if you like MGS, please watch “Some Ordinary Gamers”s video on Metal gear solid 4, titled “MGS IV is a pretty good game” and is 4 hours long
I know I'm late, but I realized something. The first time Jack meets Agent Ross, Jack was fishing with Arthur. The end of RDR 1, Jack meets Ross for the last time, after Ross was done fishing. Neat little detail Edit: Hunting instead of fishing, still by the river
It took me a while to realize that by the time Arthur and John left, everyone that would’ve joined them was either dead or had left before them. Hosea, Sean, Lenny, and Keiran would have joined them if they hadn’t died, and Pearson, Trelawney, Reverend Swanson, and Karen would have joined them if they hadn’t left. It’s great writing and forethought like this that makes this game so special.
@@adambess4909 not really Sean looked up to Arthur plus he hated Micah and would've believed that Micah was the rat and would've Join Arthur, I mean even Dutch said Sean was younger Arthur
@@Ssm12212 not in the slightest my dude. Hosea definitely knew from right and straight up madness. He was the Uncle Iron of the gang. He would joined Arthur knowing how far Dutch has fallen.
The way they slowly planned the amazing ending throughout both games is just amazing with things like killing Sean and Lenny who would’ve joined Arthur’s side and hosea could’ve stopped Dutch from going mad
@@theunknownuser9609you're right. My mans Dutch lost everything. The way after he helped John kill Micah & walked past John looking like "You happy now?" was actually quite chilling.
Yeah there even is an interaction with him before you get debt from him. And Thomas Downes was trying to get money for homeless and sick children. Just like arthur helped everyone with TB
Actually when Dutch says “same as you I suppose,” I believed his intention was to kill Micah as well but to pick his moment instead of go in guns blazing like we did.
Honestly I think he's not a villain. The Villain to me is and will always be Micah, who poisoned Dutch's mind since the beginning of the game. Dutch is just a poor soul that was lost in his own ego.
@@MeniscoManeiro I agree. Not so much a villain, but an anti-hero I suppose. He had the same hopes and dreams that rest of the gang had. But had such an ego and quite the narcissist. Was easily poisoned by Micah.
@@santi_super_stunts2573 Almost everyone in the group has killed someone who didn't deserve it so this is a dumb point. None of these people are "good" in the traditional sense, just individuals surviving a harsh world against the bad and the downright ugly. To discredit Dutch as a villain because of killing that girl or his betrayal in the end shows you really didn't pay attention to the story.
@@cokelover45 ya man I know those were painful to but I kinda knew they were gonna die just based on how close they were to everyone Lenny didn’t need to die
@@cokelover45 ehhhh grimshaw I didn’t really care about much. Hosea, Lenny and Sean’s, deaths were all very painful because it came from betrayal and dutches mistakes. Grimshaw was just shot by Micah randomly and felt like a really unnecessary death in terms of impact and meaning.
@@ninodrhr well it was either that or dutch, arthur, and lenny would’ve died. self defense vs just strangling a woman he could’ve easily just knocked out or disarmed. big difference.
@@ssjkara224 While there's a difference, it really isn't that big. By the same logic it is self defense to kill the woman once you've assaulted her because she seemed the type to stab if you stopped halfway. By robbing places and shooting the guards/police, the gang are not killing in self defense, they are entirely on the offensive and bring the danger upon themselves, that is not self defense, that is just murder. It's like breaking into someones room in the middle of the night and then claiming self defense asyou kill them after the person tries to attack you.
I remember Arthurs death on my first play through. When he took his hat and put it on one last time. When he rode through the forest with the music and the sunset. The singer saying the words “That’s the way it is”. At this point, I started to weep Uncontrollably. Not crying out of sadness, but because I know that in a few short moments, the man I got to learn, discover, and connected to, would be gone! I thought about all the decisions I made, I thought of the life that He had, everything would be gone. I thought about how Arthur leaving the only family he had ever known. The way that he faced his death like a man. After his death, I locked myself in my room and was lost in my mind for quite a long time.
So far I've finished it twice and both times I have *CRIED* and I mean *CRIED* the second time though the tears were a little more controllable but the anger was not so controllable. I dont think I have flipped off a video game character (micah by the way) as much as I did this time.
I don't know which I want most for the next game: 1) The events after RDR 1 exploring what happened to Jack 2) Another prequel going even further back in time to before the Blackwater heist 3) A sequel about Sadie and her adventures in South America
I want another prequel, because there's nowhere to go beyond where rdr1 left Jack. And I feel that Sadie's adventures would be better as a spin-off series.
@@syllvanis_ Well it could go either way 1-events after rdr1 In fact I have high hopes to see the story of jack and the new world and there is small chance that he could meet Issac (Arthur son) assuming he is alive since Arthur said that he saw 2 crosses. maybe he couldn’t recognise their faces now that would be sick the only con is that they cant go after that timeline 2-prequel could work dutch hosea has great backstory so anyway we have to wait for the next game :D
I played Read Dead 2 and immediately after played red dead 1 again, after watching John die I straight away played the Stranger mission of Jack's revenge the credits brought me to tiers, I was so sad to see the saga end, the storyline is phenomenal, unforgetable experience, like reading a book through a game 👌
There's a second ending where John doesn't die instead of walking out the front run through the back where abigail and Jack Ride off it comes up with a cut scene where John runs off and the army just give up
It’s crazy how well they merged and went back to rdr1 to make sure the story lines fit perfectly it’s amazing the amount of small details you find when replaying and noticing how rockstar was able to near perfectly make the games run right along side eachother
@@DodgeThatAttack Exactly 😅 I heard rumours that they were gonna make another game and say Arthur didn't die. Even though we watched him die on the mountain or getting stabbed by Micah etc. I would straight up refuse to buy the game if R* tried to milk their audience like that, fucking Marvel Multiverse style, they can sack ma deek. Only thing I kinda wanted or could ask for was how we got from John Buying the farm and getting married to the part in Red Dead 1 when they get off the train, I don't understand 😅
@@jawdonxtrahero6673 john lived a peaveful life for a couple years, got caught by the pinkertons, moved to some jail and then brought to blackwater for him to kill dutch javier and bill
The events that took place might still happen but with Arthur. Arthur and the marstons would go to the ucon and come back in 1907, went to prohnhorn ranch, and set up at beaches hope and killed Micah . But in 1907 Arthur would be 44 years old and back then that was very old so he might be dead by 1911
there was this extremely heart-wrenching moment when they manage to get jack back from angelo bronte. john talks to his son while they were riding back to camp and asks whether he was mistreated etc. he realizes that bronte provided more for jack than he ever could, just in that short time.
The increasing pain in John's voice, as Jack is telling him about all the wonderful things he saw and ate, really got to me. This was definitely the moment John realized he needs to get his act together and become the kind of man his son can look up to.
@@NEWFIExGAMING yeah but even in the epilogue it doesn't matter though. he doesn't really try to relate to Jack or his imagination/love of books and reading and stuff sooooo i mean eh. lol. i just don't really care for John, but that's just my personal opinion.
What destroyed the Dutch Van der Linde gang? Dutch’s ego. He demanded blind loyalty and did not tolerate anyone questioning his leadership or decisions. That’s why he attached more to Micah in the end. Micah shamelessly submitted himself to Dutch’s ego.
I'm glad that Charles got out of the life, because imagine if John had to hunt him down along with Bill and Javier. I understand that Charles wasn't thought of at the time, but for a moment, imagine how sad it would be to have to kill Charles for the government to save John's family...
see thats the part i never got about John, he had teh finances he could have left just like Charles...i don't get why him and his family stayed. i don't get me wrong but you do bad things in an area , and think life will just go on ? people forget, Most don't forgive Mexico or Canada were his only options . Mexico would be best .. he could hang with the mans Landon Ricketts. but the story had to end bad i guess.
I'm glad Charles got out so that didn't have to happen. Saddest thing for me is when they credits rolled and Sadie n Charles left the ranch n the others. Chances are they never seen each other again. But it's better that way, because they lived
To this day, I cry when Arthur hands his hat to John, then at the death of Arthur’s horse, then Arthur himself. Can’t help it now and I hope never will. RDR2 is the best game I ever played, and this video the best rendition of the storyline. Bravo.
Something I noticed, on Guarma Arthur is with the 4 main antagonists John has to fight. Micah in the final mission Javier, Bill, and Dutch in the first RDR.
Another smaller detail is during the big bank heist: When Lenny is shot, all 4 antagonists of the RDR games run past Lenny's body (Micah, Bill, Javier, & Dutch) while Arthur tends to Lenny and Charles stops to pay his respect.
@@the_competent_gamer9454 That’s a bit unfair, as Javier and Dutch did turn around and stop for a second in shock. Bill and Micah ran right past, though.
@@auroraflos2498 I think I saw that as order of caring for each character, Arthur liking him the most stops, Charles also. Then Dutch and Javier 2 people with clear care but not as much. The final 2 as the least caring. Like Javier didn't want to kill John, Dutch was trying to protect himself and Micha and Bill the least caring both threatening and trying to kill John.
There is actually closure in this story line there is an Easter egg and grand theft auto 5 where you find a book written by Jack Marston where he talks about stories of the wild West which is everything that has gone on in both red dead redemption games. He became an author after killing Ross.
Assuming any of its true. Could just be a dime novel story afterall. There is a lot of mysticism in the redemptions. Then again, GTA has it's fair share of strangeness.
Wow. Just WOW. What a cinematic summary, what a plot, without releasing too much of the conversations and scenes, what a narrator's voice. Congrats for the beautiful work mate, brilliant planing and editing.
In the end of it all, Jack is the man Arthur truly saved. Of course that is only because he saved John and Abigail who had at least a few good years together before RDR1. Jack is the one who escaped this life. Sure, he killed John's killer, but, from what we've seen in Easter eggs and such, Jack moves on and becomes a writer. He finally leaves the west and escaped the life that his father was doomed to.
@@spookubus Considering that he canonically survives until the 1990’s where he dies of old age, I’d say that he doesn’t go on the run cuz he didn’t exactly have a gang to defend him like Dutch did. Him being drafted is likely though.
At the end of John Marston in RDR1, I was absolutely floored that they killed the best character in all of video games. Fortunately, Jack's ending was so satisfying that it felt like there was no other way it should have happened. I thought for sure that no other character could ever make me feel like I did at the end of that game. I was super hyped for RDR2; I bought a PS4 Pro and a new 65" TV just so I could experience it in the best way I could. But who was this Arthur guy? I'd much rather be playing as John... Needless to say, I cried when Arthur died. Kudos to Rockstar for doing the impossible and make me love another character more than John Marston. If they release another RDR, and they do it again, I swear its going to be like an actual family member dying. Of course, if they don't right their ship, that isn't going to happen.
Yeah, I probably think Red Dead 2 is my favourite game of all time at this point. I finished the Story yesterday and the epilogue in the morning and good grief the way they made you care for Arthur and the way he tries to change for the better before he passes, I just felt it 😪 his relationships with the characters and how he tried to help Dutch see what was right and knowing no matter what honor you had, you couldn't keep him alive just broke me. Even Charlotte, I felt so bad for her til i found out she was aware he didnt have long 😕 and Riding that horse back to the sound of 'Unshaken' was just the epitome of self reflection. The game's Immaculate and I will probably play it again very soon without a doubt
One thing I must point out. Dutch wasn’t partnered with Micah in the epilogue and he wasn’t there for the money. I think this can be proven by one single line of dialogue. Its the line that Dutch says to John. “ Same as you….I suppose “. John, Sadie, and Charles went up that mountain to kill Micah, to put an end to all this, and most of all, to get revenge for their beloved friend and brother Arthur. In their minds, Micah prob killed Arthur because all they saw was Micah survive and Arthur didn’t. So they most definitely presumed that by killing Micah, it would serve some sense of revenge. They never went up there for the money, that was never the intent. By Dutch saying “ same as you….I suppose “. I think that at the moment of Arthur’s death, he didn’t just turn his back on his mistakes, or the gang, or Arthur. He also turned his back on Micah and all the money as well. At that point, he had a moment of clarity which can be seen when Arthur said “ I gave you all I had….i did “ and all he could mutter in response was “ I- “. In that moment, looking down at his protege, his son, dying by his feet, he realized. He realized he was wrong, Arthur never betrayed him and only cared about his best interest, and he realized that Micah was behind all of this. My guess is that some time after Arthur’s death, Dutch went on to live a life of solitude until hearing of Micah’s whereabouts just like Sadie. To which he ventured up the mountain to kill him. Maybe in his mind, killing Micah would give some type of penance or he would be forgiven, maybe it would give him peace. Of course, at the sight of Dutch, Micah is most pleased. I can assume so because he wanted him to join him so badly when they fled and was angry when he turned his back. This is what ultimately allowed Dutch to deceive Micah and in his words “ play him like a fiddle “, which can be seen after he shoots him and he responds with “ your shoot me- “. But at this moment in his life, seeing John and Sadie, and realizing he really did fail them, Dutch proceeds down the mountain without the money. He leaves, now realizing that the death of Micah served him nothing, and he will forever be tormented by the mistakes of his past. Which is what ultimately causes him to be so mentally unhinged in the first game. In the end, he kills himself, with John by his side once more. Any dream of living someplace else is now gone. The west might be forgotten, but Dutch never was, and neither was his demons. In the end, his only hope of getting away was to just give it all up, which is exactly what he did. Dutch is a special case in media because even though he messed up so many times, I can never see him as a run true villain. In my eyes, he will always be just a broken man, a man running from his pain. A man who couldn’t deal with the deaths of his closest comrades, the people he considered family. And a man who became a slave to the very thing he was trying to run from all those years before.
No it's kinda shit I have 10 playthroughs on the game it's good if you are playing for the 1st time but then you see all the lazy programming and scripted stuff and it becomes repetitive
He wasn’t looking at the shooter before he shot Sean he looked up right after he was shot. Micah’s a sharp shooter you’d think he knows where the shot of a gun is fired
spoiler: Jack Marston gets drafted into the first world war and dies unceremoniously of machine gun fire while going over the top. twist is after he dies you play as Jacks son "Jake Marston" and you get revenge by killing Hitler.
I love the absolute heartbreak in arthurs voice when he says "you ran away" Currently replaying RDR2 and the conversation he has with Arthur in the camp actually says alot about his character. He even goes as far to say that Arthur will betray him because he's the type too. Ironic as hell
@bastiat I never stated he was evil...I stated he was manipulative, which he was. Dutch is a very complex character, as they all are. You can see in RDR2 how he struggles within himself over what he once stood for and what he is becoming. That doesn't change that he was manipulative with his words and often utilized others to push his own self-interest. I'm sure he cared for many in the camp, but towards the end he began putting himself over everyone else and Micah was there to fan the flame after Hosea passed away.
Agent Milton was always a man that believed in making things right, and Micha was always a problem, and Bill was always a punk, but Dutch was supposed to be a good guy, and all about the family. I was so disappointed in Dutch. It’s sad when you find out that Molly never said a word.
This is a really good summation of the full story but I’m surprised in these kinds of videos, no one ever points out the moment after the trolley station heist, when Dutch receives a head injury when the trolley crashes. Until that point he would treat doubts with a level of hope and optimism, but after was much more irritable, and quick to anger. Immediately following it, during their escape I’m pretty sure it’s the first time Dutch reacts with anger and actively has a go at Arthur for having even the gall to criticise him. Supposedly something similar happened to Henry VIII after a jousting accident, and the head injury may have caused some brain damage which helped facilitate his descent into tyranny. The amount of focus given to it at the time in the game always led me to believe that this was major factor in Dutch’s descent too.
By that point in the game everything is going downhill . Thats what made him start being irrational, not really a head injury lol . He wouldbe neber stood up at that moment if he sustained a TBI that caused that type thing . He began thinking crazy cuz HIS DECISIONS WERE ALL WRONG and leading to their downfall
I think it’s cause people aren’t dumb enough to think getting hit in the head changes how he thinks lol the injury had nothing to do with his unraveling
@@Uno-vj2os except it has been proven that brain injury survivors may have difficulties managing their anger, which can result in irritability or aggressive behaviour. This can include shouting, swearing, using threatening language or being physically aggressive or violent.. but look at you calling people dumb
Can’t take place after with Jack bc civilization has already been developed. Practically no Wild West exists anymore so wouldn’t be much of a cowboy game lol would love to play young Arthur so we can see how this gang formed under Dutch
in my opinion Arthur is the among the best characters that rockstar has ever made, a caring person who battles his inner demons so other people can prosper. without a doubt my favourite moment is when he sacrifises himself so that john can escape with his family
When he says "I gave you all I had" as one of his words, my heart hurts every time. He really gave everything he could to Dutch and his plans/ideology (his morals, his chance with Mary Linton, his health, his life eventually)
Can we all just take a second to appreciate rockstar for what they've done and give props to this dude for tying it all together so well unlike most people who just cut and edit everything this dude actually took his time and put work in he definitely gained a subscriber 💯
it's really a shame how john said "I turned my back on them after they turned their back on me" when there is no mention of Arthur, who, as his last chance at happiness, saved john and his family from those who were after them.
In general though, it was true. You really wouldn't mention that little bit of help from Arthur at the end every time you tell people the basic story. He's dead now. And really the story is true, he felt like he didn't have a home there anymore, Dutch went crazy, so he turned his back on it all. It's excusable. But I always had resistance to Arthur from having played John first.
@@GlennDavey it sucks that dutch's mental decline was caused, in theory, by the trolley accident with lenny and Arthur. Also Hosea was holding Dutch together, he made him see what he was doing wrong. After he died, it just got worse and worse. He leaned more towards Micah because he was submissive to everything Dutch thought. Dutch just through those 20 years of loyalty away because of the ignorance of one six-month-long gang member
Well the actual reason is because he didn't exist yet the canonical reason is most likely because he went for the money instead of helping John because why else would no one even utter a word about Arthur if he hadn't has betrayed everyone I mean there's probably a reason high honor isn't the only ending
@@egg-cf8bt No, the canonical reason is that there's no reason to mention Arthur in RDR1. In the Epilogue of RDR2 John tells Mary Beth that he thinks about Arthur often, but he doesn't like to speak about him because it's painful. 12 years have passed since Arthur's death, John is more focused on the basics of the situation which is: The gang did leave him. They did leave him to die on the train heist and he has to hunt them down.
@@bakeyboi3958 The trolley accident theory holds no weight. Dutch was always a bad person, as made evident by him ruthlessly killing Heidi McCourt in the Blackwater heist long before the trolley crash, and his insanity was worsened by the strenuous situation of the gang falling apart, people around him dying, and the law constantly closing in on him. He got desperate and greedy and Micah was one of the only ones that stayed with him. That's why he favored Micah in the end, because Arthur was questioning his authority and Micah wasn't.
I left my first playthrough so unfinished. I didn't know I was playing Arthur's last mission where he would die. I left all the strangers, and all the hobbies things because I didn't ask my friend (because he spoils too much) I regret leaving so empty. I cried when my Arabian horse Aphrodite died -Had literally just got bonding 4 on her, loved her to pieces) and when Arthur died (I had high honor and chose to help john instead of get the money) Also unshaken (a song that plays when Arthur dies and another time) is so beautiful and I can't stop playing it
I’d like to see: Charles story after Beecher hope The early frontier years of Rains Fall, Landon Ricketts, young Hosea and Uncles. Maybe bring Red Harlow into the picture. Or maybe bring in Jack for a final ride with some of the old fans members and their families. They try to find the Black water stash.
The Golden Age of the Wild West starring a new gang with cameos from a younger Hosea, Dutch and Arthur set during the 1870s Jack Marston during the prohibition/depression with the new generation of outlaws like Bonnie and Clyde and John Dillinger and how he helps robs banks and trains and gets involved with the new mafia (Al Capone) in the big city. That way if you play these games chronologically you go from the 1870s - 1930s and see the changes in city and technology and way of life and see the similarities between the outlaws of the Wild West and the outlaws of the depression/prohibition. DLC can be Bounty Hunting as Sadie Adler, Javier in Mexico, Rise of Bill Williamson’s Gang and Charles Move to Canada
Charles one could be a Red Dead game but not a RDR game. The second one i’d like that. And the last one if they dont find it that would work because in Epilogue 2 they have the money so they can find it

@@tonytwodat6986 they barely sound any different tbh, RDR1 Javier voice just has more of a Mexican accent which makes sense because he didn’t have to speak English for about 12 years
I like how Dutch was a great leader and a good person and a good character in the beginning, but when people started to die more and more, he got more and more crazy and slowly became a villain, bad guys became less important and when they were almost not important at all anymore, they died like a side characters because they were not important no more in the story (Colm O'Driscoll and Leviticus Cornwall) (is this what Rockstar wanted or am i just overanalyzing this)
Dutch van der Linde was a violent, selfish manipulator. It is revealed almost immediately, but the player (like Arthur) chooses to ignore the red flags out of loyalty and camaraderie. Dutch knows he can keep honest people in line this way so he can continue to be dishonest. The reason the other "villains" or more accurately antagonists die so cheaply and with so little fanfare is because they are no longer opposing forces. They're victims of Dutch.
@@qwopiretyuCould have not said that any better! Some individuals don’t understand the mind of Dutch. It’s pretty obvious, around chapter 2-3 I could see right through him.
Man I miss the first red dead soundtrack. It was like a spaghetti western of Drum n bass & badass ennio morricone & “modern 50s-60s” surfy guitar. Absolutely badass.
@@GlennDavey heck yeah. You can imagine how excited and happy I was when you first play as Marston on the burning farm and his theme plays as he becomes an “outlaw” again
Yeah it really kinda seems they are working up to that. Would be neat might end up being more of a roaring 20's gangster game. That would be pretty fricking cool....
@@foryourlugsonly Also would be tough to make a game like that without just being like a Mafia game, but i think they could do it. GTA 6 from what i am hearing is going to have a male and female protagonist. Very similar to a Bonnie and Clyde type. (Surely just a vague coincidence) but would be neat if they were working on something like that with Jack. It would make for a good closer to a proper trilogy. The downfall of the wild-west, and how it effects the characters involved. The first two games are the dying breaths of that era The final game would be those first few steps in the new America. Would be cool if they used the same map as RDR2 just evolved over time ( like it already does in the game but more drastically)
If RDR3 was focused on Jack I don't think it would be a Wild West style anymore because society evolved since the events of RDR1 it'll be just like L.A Noir In my opinion RDR3 would be great if they went even back to the time the gang was starting to form and have Dutch as our protagonist and this time protecting little Arthur

In the end of it all, Jack is the man Arthur truly saved. Of course that is only because he saved John and Abigail who had at least a few good years together before RDR1. He finally leaves the west and escaped the life that his father was doomed to.

Yeah I liked Charles
Sadie voice actor is trash.. she’s overacting
And a man who became a slave to the very thing he was trying to run from all those years before.
if you try and kill micah before dutch ,, dutch will kill john... failed...

@@Jordan-vx1xy it could be american respite, the track that plays after you kill micah and walk away from Mt Hagen
It's the music from one of the RDR2 trailers
I think I commented on one of Markipliers videos but yes no one mentions the head injury.
Also Molly snitching, not everyone mentions, didn't help.
People forget how good the story was in the first game too. You depicted it perfectly. Top class
I don’t think people forgot it seeing as its story was the reason for a second game.
@travisvanalst4698 I mean between now and then brains. This game reminded them and they went back to play it.
I don’t think no game can ever get me more emotionally involved than this.
Yeah true 😂
Rdr3 will probably be about the blackwater robbery when arthur was young or we play as jack after john dies.
He died In 1916
Can’t take place after with Jack bc civilization has already been developed. Practically no Wild West exists anymore so wouldn’t be much of a cowboy game lol would love to play young Arthur so we can see how this gang formed under Dutch
It could be a different location altogether, but earlier. Maybe even link to RD Revolver
You already got to play as Jack after johns death in rdr1.
Maybe just new story and a new era like old school mobsters or vietnam war story.
in my opinion Arthur is the among the best characters that rockstar has ever made, a caring person who battles his inner demons so other people can prosper.
without a doubt my favourite moment is when he sacrifises himself so that john can escape with his family

Brilliantly retold. You even kept the Guarma section short. Bless you.
This editing is fricken amazing. The tribute I've wanted to watch, and was editing in my head for years.
Top tier editing, and cohesive story telling!
That Hello and goodbye to “meeeeexiiiicoooooooo!!!” Was insanely clever and hilarious. Excellent work on this entire video fellas.
Excellent 😊
I left my first playthrough so unfinished. I didn't know I was playing Arthur's last mission where he would die. I left all the strangers, and all the hobbies things because I didn't ask my friend (because he spoils too much) I regret leaving so empty.
I cried when my Arabian horse Aphrodite died -Had literally just got bonding 4 on her, loved her to pieces) and when Arthur died (I had high honor and chose to help john instead of get the money)
Also unshaken (a song that plays when Arthur dies and another time) is so beautiful and I can't stop playing it
My friend told me to make a save at chapter 3 and go back to that when i beat the game since it's the best time to free roam.
There are lots of this kind of video on RUclips, but this is by far the best one I have seen. Very good work.
I love how he uses the High Honour and Help John ending as that's is the real ending
It is
The O’driscolls didn’t take Sadie hostage in the beginning of the game, she hid in the cellar
Yeah 😊
But several times she brings up "the things they did to me" insinuating that she was beaten, tortured, r*ped, etc.
@@Smoking_Man I’m pretty sure they had issues with the o driscolls before
They found her tied up in the cellar not hiding
I’d like to see:
Charles story after Beecher hope
The early frontier years of Rains Fall, Landon Ricketts, young Hosea and Uncles. Maybe bring Red Harlow into the picture.
Or maybe bring in Jack for a final ride with some of the old fans members and their families. They try to find the Black water stash.
The black water stash is gone. Micah and Dutch got it in chapter 8
The Blackwater stash was in the box on the mountain where you kill Micah.
most of the blackwater money was taken by john at the end of epilogue part 2
The Golden Age of the Wild West starring a new gang with cameos from a younger Hosea, Dutch and Arthur set during the 1870s
Jack Marston during the prohibition/depression with the new generation of outlaws like Bonnie and Clyde and John Dillinger and how he helps robs banks and trains and gets involved with the new mafia (Al Capone) in the big city.

In RDR2 agent Ross says "Enjoy the fishing, while you still can to Jack"
He will be the one killing agent Ross while he is fishing, it's so crazy to think about.
No you’ve said that and playing both games that is so on point
Ross was duck hunting actually

So sad it took me two whole years to find you and your story telling!!! Pure beauty in your work and your voiceovers are perfect, straight to the point
Honestly before viewing this I had no recollection that Javier in rdr1 was the same guy from Dutch's gang in rdr2.
Exactly they’re like two different people
@@clxutz I think the voice actors are different as well.
@@tonytwodat6986 they barely sound any different tbh, RDR1 Javier voice just has more of a Mexican accent which makes sense because he didn’t have to speak English for about 12 years
This is so far the only game to make me weep. In fact it’s more than a just a game, it’s a masterpiece!
You're not alone
This is the best story summary on this game I’ve seen. Great video!
I like how Dutch was a great leader and a good person and a good character in the beginning, but when people started to die more and more, he got more and more crazy and slowly became a villain, bad guys became less important and when they were almost not important at all anymore, they died like a side characters because they were not important no more in the story (Colm O'Driscoll and Leviticus Cornwall) (is this what Rockstar wanted or am i just overanalyzing this)
There’s a saying, you die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
It's so much of the game's vibe. It really does a lot of heavy lifting.
@@GlennDavey heck yeah. You can imagine how excited and happy I was when you first play as Marston on the burning farm and his theme plays as he becomes an “outlaw” again
@@Puppy_Puppington Same. I felt seen in that moment.

Such a gripping story to experience again. Cheers:)
This story is amazing
Probably the most immersive game in history to date. Would love to see a 3rd chapter with Jack
Yeah it really kinda seems they are working up to that. Would be neat might end up being more of a roaring 20's gangster game. That would be pretty fricking cool....
@@Didi_Meow_Records exactly what I was thinking man. Not sure how far forward they could go before it is just another GTA though.
@@Didi_Meow_Recordsover 1 year later and u were right about Bonnie and Clyde
If RDR3 was focused on Jack I don't think it would be a Wild West style anymore because society evolved since the events of RDR1 it'll be just like L.A Noir
In my opinion RDR3 would be great if they went even back to the time the gang was starting to form and have Dutch as our protagonist and this time protecting little Arthur

Dutch may have become who he really was underneath, but that person is in all of us.
The thing is, if Dutch just became who he really is, then he deserves some credit for fighting his darker nature for so long
