I took off the spare wheel off the engine bay and used this space to install a custom made intercooler for the modern Borgwarner turbo set-up ,the modern V6 HDI engine had been fully restored for top reliability & over the top cooling systems (the CX engine bay had cooling issues due to frontal airflow limitations )..now it is fitted with the C6 2.7 HDI V6 motor producing 225 HP limited and 518 nm).

The CX is a beautiful supremely comfortable GT. I wish I had had one when they were out. They were always just out of my price range but I had two from new BXs instead. Those too were phenomenal cars, reliable, practical,economical and very comfortable. The first one was a TDR 1.9 diesel and the second was a turbo diesel with intercooler.
I also had from new a C15 diesel which was very economical and practical. It was also extremely lightweight therefore considering it had a Diesel engine and no turbo is was pretty nippy.
