Rising star grew so fast ! Handsome. And Lianna had a sweet spot.
Risey, "Don't bother me now I'm eating." Johnny showing who's boss by being King of the Straw Pile Mountain. Made him taller than the young boys. "See, I'm the Stud Muffin around here, don't forget that." Uniek wanted something, attention? It was cute to see her tapping her foot to get Yvonne to pay attention to her.

I noticed that Risey was displaying dominance at first by pinning his ears and taking RJ & Pieter's feeding spot.
Still, he knows how to respect his elders as he chews to Sjors and Johnny.
Climbing up on that pile of straw was Johnny's "I'm the King of the World!" moment. LOL He can boss those youngsters around.

I love this video!!! True story - my dream vacation right now would be to come to Friesland, help clean stalls, feed the horses, and meet Klaske. :) She's still my favorite even though I love them all. Marije and Mathilde are getting so big now but you can tell the size difference when Marije is with Lianne. I just watched the video of Lianne sleeping in the pasture and waking up all by herself, until Saly called out for her and she jumped up to go to Mom! When I cannot sleep...I say, Sjirkje and Jildou, Rinske and Lina, Reintje and Lieka, Saly and Lianne, Elsje and Jacobien, Richstje and Jacqueline, Sanna Aukje and Klaske, Pjirkje and Jonah Rein. I see their faces and it makes me happy.
When Johnny says hi to the Colts- Risey first is chewing sorta slow- but then when Johnny walks closer he starts chewing so fast it looks sped up and I literally spit out my water. It was SO cute I had to rewatch it multiple times. They are getting so big!
Oh my gosh, that is funny! I hadn't noticed the change in speed of Risey's chewing when 1st watched so watched a 2nd time paying attention to that. He really was chewing on fast forward when Johnny got closer to him.
The 'fast chewing' is a sign of submission foals do to older, stronger horses.

Poor Johnny. It's hard to be taken seriously as the BIg, Bold, Majestic Stallion and Ruler of the barn when even this year's foals are taller.

It's always nice to tag along & visit with all the horses at the Friesian horse barn as the chores are being done. It shows us how much work it takes to keeping these beautiful horses in good health & looking great. Love the braided manes. Johnny is cute with his braid. It was interesting to see how the young colts were being submissive to Johnny while visiting them. What a job that is to getting all the young horses back in their stalls from being outside. It's funny to see what stall they may pick to be in. Love the Uniek/Rising Star T-Shirt or Sweatshirt Jacket. Would love to order one of them, but at this time I have too much going on with the expenses of the cancer treatments that I'm going through. Looking forward to the day when I can purchase something with Uniek & Rising Star on it. I will never forget the story of how they met. I had a hard time holding back the tears. That was a beautiful hoodie that Yvonne had on with the picture of Uniek and Rising Star. Johnny made me laugh when he was by the young colts and he walked up on top of the hay pile. Johnny is full of personality!

Yvonne … I think I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now and I STILL have no idea how on Earth you tell the horses apart!
That said, I do have a couple of favourites ( after Uniek , of course) … when I look at them I have no idea who they are but I think that they are particularly beautiful… they usually turn out to be Klaske and Pieter . I’m no judge of Friesians ( to me, that are all beautiful) .. but these two stand out for me.

All I have to say is this was one of the cutest videos ever! Especially when Johnny got on top of that hay in front of the three cold as if to say I am King of the mountain! Then when the girls came in they all wanted to be together in their stalls. It was so cute listening to you tried to get them into their proper places. Thank you again Yvonne for a wonderful video! These are my favorite videos --- the ones that show Yvonne, Geertje, Myrtle, Rinske, Oda, Rein, & all of the others at Stal G just handling the every day chores around the stable and chatting a bit as they do.
I love seeing how they handle the horses, and I love to watch the funny things that the horses do. They can really show us their unique personalities. Some are really sweet and happily do as they're asked. Others are a bit stubborn and sometimes even defiant. Watching the struggle of wills between horses and people can be quite entertaining.
I thought I'd die laughing when Johnny climbed up to the top of the haystack the colts were eating from. I guess he showed them who was the real Alpha Male in the house!
I love EVERYTHING that goes on at the grooming & saddling place. I've learned so much watching the activities that go on there.
I am hoping to see a young horse get her (or his) first visit with the Farrier one day. I can't imagine that the first trimming and/or shoeing goes very well. If we're lucky, perhaps Yvonne will show us.
All in all, I'd say that this is a great video. I loved it!
