*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*
I almost exclusively throw big spinners for northerns, even though they are marketed as a bass lure. My favorite spinner for pike? A black and orange willow blade with a green 5" twister tail trailer. Tight lines!
That's the great thing about pike. They will hit anything. I remember canoeing up around the Timmins area of Northern Ontario and having a Pike attack my paddle as I was paddling across the river. It ended up in the Canoe as a result.
wow you are lucky to have that lake. i was lucky with a couple bass lakes when i was a kid. so many memories. i have yet to match that. one time i was fishing in canada and caught a tiny sunfish to use as bait. after casting the fish out with a bobber i suddenly got fearful. i was camping with my brother and his friends and got way too stoned. as i was reeling the fish back in a huge pike struck it right in front of me. i saw the head so i knew it was about 40" or so. it looked huge to me. i caught a pickeral earlier, such a fun fish. the place we went to was amazing. it was in ontario somewhere. 3 lakes connected by small waterfalls. it was so surreal. we camped on an island. Canada is so awesome.
its awesome! I absolutely love fishing, its just very hard because I am an electrical apprentice now so I have way less time on my hands. hopefully ill find some time this summer to keep getting out there and catching some northerns!
Im from and live in Wisconsin Subscribed Ive been getting into pike fishing lately havent had any luck from shore gonna rent a canoe and see how my luck is. Lots of pike in lake mendota
Nice, very nice. Hi from the UK. Cant beat an evening fishing for Pike. What line you running on your baitcaster please. Subscribed too, nice channel. :-)
Wherabout in Southeast Wisconsin? My place is on Center Lake... just south of Silver Lake... I fish mainly for bass and walleye, but have been getting bite offs lately... so decided to target pike since those little ass holes have been snatching my lures. I too use 65 power pro on my baitcasters... but 30lb fluro leader for bass. Gotta up the lbs on my leader. I'm Former IBEW. Best of luck making journeyman! Its a good trade.
Just subscribed. Pike are my favorite gamefish and like to know what the name of that lake is please. That was an awesome video man. Bite after bite. If it's a secret spot I get it though man.
Just wondering, why do we need to revive Northern Pike as opposed to something like a Bass? Won't they revive on their own regardless of whether or not we just put them in the water? Love catching these fish, even though I've only caught two!
this reminds me of fly-in lake I go to in Manitoba with my brother. We caught over 200 pike between us over like 21-22 hours of fishing from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Pretty much every cast, and for about first few hours we were trying to catch walleye, our lures rarely made it down to walleye. The few walleye we caught got attacked by pike so we just put on spoons and topwater lures and nailed pike all weekend . The lake was just completely overrun with 20-30 inch pike.
Understand in BC we mainly only catch 1-3lb trout unless you go to far off lakes or salmon fishing in the summer! Which I love and stock my freezer. You should eat some of these they are plentiful and large. Very good eatin
Pike Fisher from way over in Vermont - crankbait lures are my favorites with spinner bait a close second. I've yet to get one, but I've seen someone pull in a thirty pound pike once. Nonetheless great video! Keep it up!
Always fun hooking a good sized pike from a canoe, rather than reeling in the fish it is more often like one is winching the canoe over to the fish. And spinnerbaits have been one of my most productive pike lures for a long time, particularly black with a brass blade.
Pike are rare around here so I've only caught one but it was really fun. Catching quality fish ike that in a canoe sounds like a blast! Great video man
i am considering moving to america at some stage just for fishing its so much better thank here more variety everywhere here in ireland within a 20km radius all u can find is brown trout pike and theres one lake with perch in
I'm going like fishing tomorrow and I decided to watch some videos this one was the best you deserve so many more subscribers at first I thought you had like 100-200,000 subs keep up the great vids
Peter Szöke the main reason for higher lb test especially braided is less stretch on the line. Which means while fishing near stumps and heaven weeds, you have less give on the line so less chance of it breaking. Also much better hook sets with braided.
i'm from norway, here its alot different, but our biggest problem is the pikes diving and going under logs etc so you always have to keep them high up but you have to wear them down, they would never be so relaxed as yours are, if they arent tired when you pull them up they will flip and break out, nice video though
Nice video, but how are there so many fish in America?! You drop your bait in the water and the pike strikes, i can go days without a single fish. But size differs alot, what you call big is tiny from my standards.

thirty pounder would be insane, thanks!

Nice fishing, good action. Why not use a net?

new with spinnerbaits do I need to attach a wire trace to them. how do people attach it to the spinnerbait without it sliding up and down the bait
I'm going like fishing tomorrow and I decided to watch some videos this one was the best you deserve so many more subscribers at first I thought you had like 100-200,000 subs keep up the great vids

Love the video
Nice Fishing Video!
Great vid would love to see more of these
Thanks a lot man, glad you enjoyed!
I like using red and white daredevils and red eye wiggled spoon for pike
I will have to try that out!
Nice video and pike, cannot wait for some warmer weather 🤘😎
Nice vid man ! Whats your mainline and leader ? THX !
I do catch and release but I consider these fish stunted and some need to be harvested. That lake seems small for that many pike.
Why don't they flop much when you're holding them?
What kinda line/test where you using? Sweet vid!
65lb braid power pro!!
They might use the same rods for bass/topwater
Peter Szöke the main reason for higher lb test especially braided is less stretch on the line. Which means while fishing near stumps and heaven weeds, you have less give on the line so less chance of it breaking. Also much better hook sets with braided.
what lake is this? I'm in southeastern wisconsin as well.
LOL LOL LOL
All the fish were caught in the water on lake #76
first time using a gold spinner bait with a black and blue skirt, the northerns were crushing it right next to the shore !!!
awesome! the spinner bait is by far my favorite for all northerns.
Where is this lake in Wisconsin
You fish only for small pike or Bigger Ones?
What do you film with
a go pro 2
Nice session lads
Where are you fishing
hey man with the spinner, you got got a link to the exact one?
weight and or color
strike king 1/2 oz red and white
Maybe try some red and white spoons the pike in my Home river love that shit
Looks incredibly similar to storrs lake. Is it?
Storrs lake has some monster pike at the second area on the left when you drive in
bigjdaddy251 do you cast off the pier
Nice fish, where you guys using steel leaders? Or just risking it with regular line?
60lb fluorocarbon line about a 12 inch leader
What city is this lake by? I ask because I'm currently living in southeastern wisconsin.
What do you have on for line?
Where is this location if you don't mind??
You need to buy your buddy big lunch for picking all your fish lol
Is this lake wingra
Nice vid, got me all excited!
how long did it take you to get those and what Lake I would like to know
Lake #67 in South Central Wisconsin
I'm from Milwaukee WI...just curious on what lake your at?

what rod is that
What lake ?
Great video 👌👍do you always fish at dawn and dusk?
What lake is this?
what lake was this on?
Great video - how are your spinners not stuck all the time in this kind of water? 😬
Bokaj01
Spinners are fairly weedless because of the skirt
i'm from norway, here its alot different, but our biggest problem is the pikes diving and going under logs etc so you always have to keep them high up but you have to wear them down, they would never be so relaxed as yours are, if they arent tired when you pull them up they will flip and break out, nice video though
what lake
what setup were u using for those pike reel rod and line
65lb braid 6'6 med heavy
Spunkey?
what type of line is your reel rigged with bro?
65 lb braid!
what lake are.you on?
Great video, thanks!
sweet video man
thanks brother
What lb test and type of line do u recommend for that?
for pike 30-65lb braid is good
69 lb test
Nice video, but how are there so many fish in America?! You drop your bait in the water and the pike strikes, i can go days without a single fish. But size differs alot, what you call big is tiny from my standards.
i would prefer size over quantity!
Nice video dude really enjoyed this great job
thanks man really appreciate the feedback!
what line r u guys using?
65 lb power pro! braided
Wisconsin Flag Chasers Why such overkill? I'm using 20lb and never lost a fish due to the line braking.
65 for pulling them out of the weeds!
Wisconsin Flag Chasers Seems legit ;)
is there any other way to fish for pike?! 😍
maybe we can collab sometime!
Where are you in Wisconsin
Southeastern
What is the name of the lake? I live in SE Wisconsin.
#67 lake in South Central Wisconsin
What is a good lure for pike
my personal favorite lure would be the spinnerbait, however anything that moves quick and that is shiny. Red lures also really make them aggressive.
What lake was this? I go up to Hayward,wi
Lake #67 in South Central Wisconsin
Loved the vid and would like to see more I just subscribed and some nice fish!!!!!!
