“He thought he was really, you know, like on my level”
I know Justin tries to be nice in his videos but you can just feel the disrespect throughout this one 😂
Why would Justin disrespect him when Roundhouse literally give him free money?
@Anawat pradabsuk what a philanthropist
Dude he was even like yeah I didnt even practice lol
Disrespect isn't the right word though. RH clearly went in way over his head - addressing that is just straight facts.
lmfaooooo he dead ass tries so hard to sound nice but you can hear the shade lol Justin a goat
At least when my boy JMCrofts offers to get washed by Justin, he doesn't throw away $10k doing so
JMCrofts takes a beating and then thanks for you it. A true student of the game.
Doesn't Justin charge $100 per hour?
The early Wong factor shook him too his core never recovered
w the cyclops super? Yeah
"He really thought he was on my level" 🤣🤣🤣 love it!
I think a quote from MVC2 sums up this whole thing:
"Payday! Marvelous!"
MVC1*
also its "crazy" but childhood headcannon says "payday"😂
Justin Wongs real time decision making is astonishing. His ability to minimize risk and maximize reward on a consistent basis is why he’s GOAT. Fascinating to hear his in-depth analysis. Hope to see more like this in the future!
Exactly and no one has been able to successfully duplicate his style; definitely the GOAT
The title of this video pulled me right in
The thumbnail* 🤣🤣🤣
That was awesome to watch bro. Thank you
Popped off after winning game 1, proceeded to get immasculated for about 45 mins straight
"Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer"
Taunt to Get Bodied is the ultimate combo. It transcends all competitive games.

2:31 Roundhouse logic: I just won the first match by timeout, and I still need to win 14 more, time to celebrate as I I’ve just won 10 EVOs in a row.
I think it wasn't really a conscious decision. He just popped off.
As much as I think Roundhouse was foolish for challenging the god of Marvel 2, and double foolish for choosing to try to outlame Justin fucking Wong...I kinda respect the popoff. Like you *gotta* be confident in your shit with 10 grand on the line, got no problem with letting em know early and often.
was this recent???
@@sanguinepenguin9576 Yep, couple weeks ago.
@@FishHookEXE wow that is uhhh incredibly foolish. I know his skills havent translated to all games equally but who goes and challenges the undispited goat? For 10k???
Oh my goodness! The salt I would feel as roundhouse - Justin “I didn’t even practice. Yeah, he thought he was on my level.” 🤣 I’m dying over here!
Also shoutouts to the hidden GoldenboyNeo coaching. Getting washed by Justin and saying "he got lucky" seems to be the west coast special
Been like that since B5
you can’t diss any coast unless you, yourself have represented a coast, you have no idea what you’re talking about, and from what my eyes have told me, you’re a no-name, i’d pipe down a little, rofl…
I don't really understand this game that well but I love listening to Justin break down this et because he explains so much of his thought process going into different situations and what he and Roundhouse were doing and why it was a good or bad decision. It makes it really easy for someone like me to watch and understand what's going on more than just the hype of the game.
He wanted to play with Justin so bad, he payed $10k for a friendly session.
This was so sweet to watch! Don't talk smack and come at the King of MVC2 lane play!
You do realize the “smack talk” was just for hype lol. We all knew what the result was going to be going into this.
Roundhouse actually got some more attention out of this, which probably was what he hoped for...
But come on, there were 3 to 4 straight rounds that JW was nowhere near being challenged...
I realized that it was hopeless when I saw JW Storm dominating RH Sentinel, and then on the same round JW Sentinel dominating RH Storm.
Idk if it just me but Roundhouse drops a lot and doesn't know how to convert. I barely see him finishing sequences but he seems strategic in some way.
Can you make an cyclops starting team playing against godtier teams? Would like to see more of your cyclops in action and also what kind of team u would come up with!
hearing the thought process and anlysis of why he is doing the stuff he is doing really made me realize how little i know about this game so far
Justin, this is amazing; it was like watching Kobe Bryant’s 'Detail' but with MVC2. I was engaged throughout the whole video, just love the insight of your thought process by using the right moves at the right time and more so how to strategize a game plan on the fly. Incredible - would definitely like to see more of these breakdowns (past evo MVC2 tournaments etc.)
Keep the content coming!!!
Hailstorm's chip always drove me mad 🤣 Sometimes, it's like a deluge of golf balls, other times it's just a handful of Rice Krispies 🌨
Love hearing your take on match deconstruction and analysis Justin! Keep em coming!
Dude I was waiting for this video! Love how modest you are when it comes to being competitive. Role model for me!
Loved this analysis video! All the choices you make in a split second and how far ahead you can read in that moment are incredible to hear as a casual player. Would love to see more videos like this!
Watched this set live, and it was SO enjoyable. I'll be honest, I didn't realize you could still cook like this with top tier. I see your videos of you messing around with low tier teams (which are awesome), but was so cool to see you still beast as an MvC2 god. My fav part was during the timeout when you were listening to what Neo and Lockdown were saying and just nodding your head in agreement with your water bottle. Had me rolling lol!
Love your breakdowns, really give a look into how one of the best players in a particular game sees things and reads situations. Very cool man
How j Wong won 10 stacks
He wasn't a mvc2 god!
Easy payday for the legend
Was watching this live with a smile on my face, good stuff justin 🤣
I love how justin feeds into the wong factor - "my hailstorms do more chip" "my drops always cross up for a reset" lol
This was a great breakdown. Very interesting stuff I wouldn't have known about.
I literally just watched that set today. Good shit J Wong, you really are the FGC GOAT
I was waiting for this video. Thanks for the analysis.
Challenging yourself against J.Wong is all good, but to so with such huge amounts of money on the line is foolish. Do people not get why he's considered the best at MVC2? His aptitude for strategies is second to none. He can win with low tiers if he works hard enough.
I hope you do more in depth analysis of games like this. Very insightful!
GGs. Awesome to hear the decision making breakdowns.
Lemme put Jwong in his absolute most comfortable position on his game and try to take his money. If you come at the king you better not miss.
RIP Omar
You explain things so well. A true master of this game!
I’m looking forward to the tournament you guys mentioned at the end of the stream!
If you can bear to look back on it, maybe do a commentary on one of your EVO finals with Sanford! I'd love to hear your analysis from the other end of the W/L column. If not, perhaps your recent low tier tournament finals with Yipes? Always love to hear your thoughtful commentary.
Great breakdown and impressive win
12:09 sombrero Storm lmao
I was waiting for this video!
@@shen-long9082 i was too after yipes talked about it, so @froboywest prolly aint lying
@@GPowtlaw2 Heard IFC Yipes talking about it, couldn't find a VOD. Thought it might have been a private thing. Was really glad to this the vid drop. Was only getting screenshots and tweets.
@@Froboywest Roundhouse originally made it sub only video on twitch. I believe he uploaded the full match on his youtube now if you want to see full footage.
@@Brixgale Thank you for the information. Much appreciated, think I'll head on over and give that vid a like and watch.
I love that you used the stage music for back ground music as you Commentate each match.
This was super technical, JW operating on different lvl.
The alpha counter trap at 17:00 was godlike
More of this stuff man. Thanks!
I think that the sets against Duc Do from your older videos were more competitive. The channel is great Justin, you're truly the goat.
9:39 looks like sentinel is launching little dead pools.
12:47 BOFADEM!!! WP Wong, congratulations baby! Big hug from Argentina!
Hola emma se te agradecería que subieras este video a tu canal con subtítulos en español.
This is incredible. The part where Justin is casually thinking about posing him problems mid-game about whether to Alpha counter, switch or take the death just shows the difference in level. This isn't a level playing field - more like a professor versus a student!
I saw some of this on Roundhouse's channel... "You didn't have it." that was hilarious because you said it so calmly HAHAA!!!
One of the best current players vs the best of all time. This was a great set thanks for the review justin!
More than two decades of MvC2 we still learning things from Justin. I love it.
Oh how I wish I could play the lame game to counter aggro rushdowns.
12:38 was some interesting insight...i enjoyed that!
I had been waiting for this vid
Is there a playlist for these type of videos? Very informative and educational aside from the entertaining matches!
Been waiting for this. He should have Watched you vs Neo and Neo was talking crap after losing. Watched it live and was slack jawed the whole time. Congratulations.
lol I liked how Neo was going in on the analysis like "could it have been 15-8"? And Justin's face was like "nah". Hell like if we were gonna give RH 3 games for no reason then we could do the same in Justin's favor and it could have been 15-2.
I like these analysis videos
5:05 "BAD CHOCE FOR YOU" sums this whole thing up.
Dude, your Cyclops in the second match was unbelievable.
What a great video. You got to give credit to Roundhouse for having so much confidence, but it's hard to learn the highest levels of play when he can't play against iron sharpened opponents. Don't bet against JWong
I'm almost a year into learning, and I've labbed guard canceling HSF so much. Still not 100% on it, but I know the importance of it at higher levels of play.
Been waiting for this video.
that iron man infinite reminds me those games Yipes and those guys played at their pad, and I think it was Mike Infinite or someone who did it to all 3 of the characters in one match. was absolutely hilarious
I'm a simple man. I see Wongs analysing match, I watch.
Good time
Ps. Congrats for you Justin, and your opponent for classy game. I watched this match before, and you worked for every penny of that win. He, on the other hand just 'didn't have it' 😛
You should do a guide on Tech Hits, Alpha Counters, and the little mechanics of the game
12:09 - Storm wearing her matching sombrero
Fray! Good analysis too. Can the full analysis be found somewhere?
Into the mind of a pro, one of the best at this game.. Pretty interesting and very impressive
Great analysis. Let's get those NullDC matches going already!!
-Khaos
Hey play FT10 With Justin, i love he gameplay and your gameplay.
You didn't get lucky. The set reminded me of the old days of Marvel where the arcade's best Marvel player plays a middle of the road guy.
That is the OG hailstorm :3
I thought it was a good match, love to see more!
Just learning this game. I notice Jwong spends a lot of time in the air building meter.
The lame stuff
So that is actually a very common tactic, especially with Storm players. It is one of the many reasons Storm is top tier.
Kinda pissed I had to give that dbag a Prime sub for one month just to watch this set. But honestly it was worth it to watch him get bopped.
What’s the story with round house . Everyone really seems to dislike him
Easy Money!
Congratulations Wong!
Damn. That's one expensive slice of humble pie 🥧
"He really thought he was on my level" = JDubb showing his face in the video.
Liking and subscribing to all your videos!
I absolutely love these review the tapes video
the video I was waiting for
09:25 - moments like these are beautiful 🥳
“ My mash game is unmatched, i dont think anyone can out mash me” yo Justin imma steal this if you don’t mind. Lol
He said "Playing team Matrix, my patented team."
Wonder how Chris Matrix feels about that... 😁😂
Well the team name came from the actual Matrix movies where Storm is Trinity, Sentinel is a robot and Cyclops is the one
@@massi4h yea I've seen #NoFrillz
Roundhouse has been getting shitted on since 2009 but his style makes just about anyone outside of Justin frustrated. I personally respect that he brought his own “lame” style.
About the coolest guy in real life and not your average grimey marvel arcade player from back in the day.
I meant to send a congrats a while back. But didnt know if you were keeping it out of youtube comment. Due to the " Respect" either way ,good on you.
seems like his ironman wasn’t really doing anything and he would’ve been better off using that slot for a better anti-air assist. beautiful play as always justin, you’re still the GOAT.
24:05
He thought he was like on my level.
That level of shade 🤣🤣🤣
Roundhouse so fucking delusional imo. Justin just staying chill and collected probably drove him crazy
This is such a joy to watch. Guy was talking so much shit and when it came down to it got BODIED. JWONG is the Goat for life
Dat ending lmao
"At least I got head start to put money in Harper's college tuition"
The decision making on these games, you can tell that Justin knows this game way better than most people(or everyone really).
I’ve been looking forward to this 😎
need more big brain marvel breakdowns.
Let's Go Justin!!!
Round 1 pop off, never forget.
I couldnt wipe the smile off my face watching this like. Its like the school bully stepping to a grandmaster and just get f-'d into the ground lol!! 101/10 Jwong
You’re too nice Justin. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good match. But I frowned upon round 1. Too early to be celebrating but roundhouse wasn’t too bad either. He’s no LTG. So good match. To both of you.
I remember this lol. Hope you enjoyed that free money. Cant believe so much of the chat betted against you.
People love underdogs
@@HellecticMojo true but in some of the messages from chat it was almost disrespectful in a sense.. And im all for new rising stars but when they pop off after one game.. Yikes..
Bro you CANNOT OUT LAME JUSTIN. It was a fun set to watch.
He comes the 💰
Random teacher back in the 90s: you’ll never amount to anything by playing those darn video games
Justin when he sees that teacher today: *shows this video*
Curious where the money came from? Is it like back in the day MM where a bunch of people put in money? Or put in ur own money?
