To be at this game was probably one of the best moments of my life, To see deGrom come back from injury and pitch 5 perfect innings... The crowd was electric.
Simple Man is a southern anthem! Can you imagine that swamp out at the “Hell House”when this song was first conceived?? How lucky that swamp was at that time in history!
The Mets are a team filled with what coulda beens... Nolan Ryan, Doc, Straw and add Jacob to that list. Had he stayed healthy and wanted to play his career in NY, he could've been one of the all-time greats.
I’ve been a fan over 10 years it’s the only video I really watch on a regular basis lol that arm cock at 1:30 is something else like he’s he’s cocking a shotgun lol
I'll never forgive DeGrom for leaving us. I'm sure the Mets would have worked with him on a deal close if not the same as the Rangers. Sometimes in life you have to answer a call greater than your own. In this case, I truly felt it was taking a tiny bit less than the Rangers, still getting paid $160 million plus to stay in the place that cared and raised you. Seriously shame on him for leaving. If he were here now, he'd be leading the charge into the playoffs with a team that is far better than the one he's on now. But that's just me...

What a class move by the SNY announcer to not say anything and let the moment happen
The Mets announcers (Gary, Ron and Keith) are the best in the biz and the best the Mets ever had. It's truly a great time to be a fan.
We honestly have the best Announcers in all of Baseball ⚾️
There's something extremely powerful about this.
When everyone knows, nothing needs to be said….you can feel it.
Amazing how much a simple moment and a simple song can give everyone chills
What a great moment this was.
Best game I ever attended. Every 2 strike count stadium was going crazy. Electrifying
Im a Yankees fan but i have to admit i turned on the Mets to watch this and it was awesome
Wish I could have been there. That gave me chills.
DeGrom is the man. College SS 9th round pick and became arguably the best pitcher in the league

Gave me chills, and I’m a Braves fan
Same here. Maybe he’ll sign with us!
I could cry watching this every time
This still makes me tear up

Just an awesome moment in Mets History!

Best pitcher in baseball pitching to his name SIMPLE MAN
This was so cool at the time. Now it just bums me out. The best we'll get is a return cameo at the end of his career when he's no longer THIS deGrom.
Congrats Mets. If only it could’ve been done with DeGrom.
Gave me chills
I will always feel deprived of seeing a World Series game start with simple man and end with narco.
We need to give deGoat a ring. If not then he definitely deserves to seek it somewhere else.
I hear Los Angeles is a beautiful place
Well he finally got one
Can’t wait to see how Globe Life Field does it!
great moment at the time. ass he is. gonna be great season
pain
For real. 😢
😢
Chills

Sad he’d rather play in front of tumbleweeds in Texas for the rest of his career instead of this crowd
💀💀
For the $ he's making, I would too. (Plus more Lynyrd Skynyrd fans)
