Richard contributed his talents, vocals and music skills to so many. He still sounds and looks the same. Thank you Richard Marx. Not one musician in this decade his been able to match you.
I have this song on a self made compilation disc of Richard Marx’s greatest hits that I made back in 2008. The last time I played it was last October on my drive back home from Pasadena after attending a convention.
Richard Marx, is the ultimate songwriter & musician!!! I think he gets his powers from his musical abilities from Ruth & Dick, his parents!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟💗💗💗💗💗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@ShadowACE1998 i' m listening " Paid Vacation " , one of my all time favorites records . I ' ve always loved that album and i still love It . Happy New Year and greetings from Italy !
I've been where you are before No one understands it more You fear every step you take So sure that your heart will break It's not how the story ends You'll be back on your feet again [Chorus:] Baby, this time There ain't nothing gonna take this heart away No more goodbyes There ain't nothing gonna take my heart away The pain's still alive in you For what one man put you through You say that we're all the same But I'm called by no other name We all need a place to run Won't you let me be the one [Chorus] Don't keep the dream in you locked outside your door Just believe in this love And don't be afraid anymore I need you to please be strong I've waited for you too long [Chorus]
Always come back to this tune because of the amazing vocal Richard laid down on this one. Always a great writer, he deserves more credit as a singer too. Spot on!
Richard Marx is one of my all time favorite singers. I am so glad to have grown up when he first came out and had the chance to go to one of his concerts. As I stated in another post, I grew my hair long to my shoulders right before my senior in high school. My hair was naturally curly, like Marx when he first started his career.
I remember seeing this video when it was first released! I was 9 years old and shopping with my mom at Kids 'R Us (back when they used to have rows of TVs in each section tuned to MTV) and I remember how this video completely caught my attention and I was standing there watching and singing along to it. Brings back great memories!
Years and generations later, still loving my 80's and 90's 🎶 🎵. 😊😊Richard just wanted to say, ur an amazing artist , love all songs on ur albums, and all have a special message in each song of all ur albums and also has a special meaning to me❤❤😊😊
Its so nice to hear his voice. Its also nice to know that his music is recognized worldwide. My daughter loves kpop, and she told me that a lot of kpop singers recognizes Richard and his music. He is loved!💘
Bravissimo richard un cantante straordinario che ha lavorato con i migliori artisti della musica rock con una voce bellissima è una musica fatta molto bene dj tony
Remember when Take This Heart came out in summer 1992, it was the follow-up to Hazard - after the downbeat, melancholy and rather sad song that Hazard was, this was an unexpected change of direction, with Richard opting to go in a more happy, uplifting direction... Loved the video too
I really love his hair so... My favourite singer since I was 11years old and I am 42 years old now... Omg.. Wish all the best for You Richard Marx.. And love you always.. Love from Indonesia
Richard, thank you for blessing us with your music. You are one talented man! God Bless You. Wish you the best on your divorce. My prayers are with the both of you!!!
I thought about this video and this song came to mind and I told myself if the Cubbies ever won I would congratulate Richard,so here you go pal...CONGRADULATIONS!
I love this song and one of my favorites. This is a great break up song. I was going through a break up when I saw this song on VH1 and, really didn't know who Richard Marx was at the time. What a great man and an amazing singer, songwriter and musician. He's way underrated in my opinion. The best since Elvis Presley. He predicted the Cubs would win the World Series and, they did.
Richard what is love i came to know by your songs since my childhood i hear only your songs...i was never disappointed by any of your songs...they taught me greatest thing in this world that is love..please keep going never stop.....
Saw him in Sydney two days ago..His sense of humour is as entertaining as his Music.. And that's some call !.. Funny, funny guy.. Entertainment Master.. :) :)
I always wondered if Richard and Bryan Adams ever sang together on stage beacause I used to be confused who was who as a kid since their styles and voices are similar lol. This is the song I remember most from that time and I love it.
Richard has posted pics of them hanging out backstage as far back as 1988, and one story he talked about Bryan texting him. Growing up I never heard they did but I couldve missed it. lol
It’s about a girl who has given up on love because a man broke her heart. But the narrator is telling her that he is the one and will never betray her. I guess you could thematically relate it to the video, in terms of never giving up. The Cubs hadn’t won a World Series since 1907, but with enough perseverance they finally pull through. (Video came out in 1992, but the Cubs didn’t actually win the series until 2016.)
One of the very, very best Pop Rock songs ever.. I care not who disagrees..
Than i will not! 😀
Fo
I love the passion with which he sings this song.
Hell yeah it is!!!
passion, love and everything...
“It’s not how the story ends.
You’ll be back on your feet again” ❤💛💜
This song is my favorite song by Richard Marx.
Totally agree with you. 👀👍
He has more than one? OMFG, then it's wayyyy worse than I first thought ....
This is my first time hearing this song and video I don’t think I’ve heard this song before until now 💗💜💙🧡💚❤🤍💛🤎🖤💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I miss the Oakland Coliseum being this beautiful! So many happy memories here!💛💚💛

Someone take me to a concert!!!! Cheap trick, Richard Marx..
I've been where you are before
No one understands it more
You fear every step you take
So sure that your heart will break
It's not how the story ends
You'll be back on your feet again
[Chorus:]
Baby, this time
There ain't nothing gonna take this heart away
No more goodbyes
There ain't nothing gonna take my heart away
The pain's still alive in you
For what one man put you through
You say that we're all the same
But I'm called by no other name
We all need a place to run
Won't you let me be the one
[Chorus]
Don't keep the dream in you locked outside your door
Just believe in this love
And don't be afraid anymore
I need you to please be strong
I've waited for you too long
[Chorus]

I love that he was wearing a Cubs uniform. Been a Cubs fan since 1979.
Still a great early '90s rock song and very uplifting. Good that the Cubs eventually did win again in 2016.

This song has nothing to do with baseball. It's a love song.
