No, he was saying "Shazam" to summon his lightning against Superman. After he was renamed from Captain Marvel to Shazam, his powers work a little differently. He has to say "Shazam" with the _intention_ of turning into Billy, or to summon lightning. Otherwise he would change back into Billy every time he says his name. I believe there's a comic (whether it's considered canon now or not) that expresses something close to how powerful Superman has become. (Keeping in mind it's basically due to absorption of solar energy from our yellow sun) He was measured in a twenty-four hour span of bench-pressing [I won't get into the mechanics of how exactly it was comparatively done, but it was] the equivalent of the full Earth. For a full day's run. A full 24 hours. No resting done. The result: one drop of sweat. One. Drop. Not any other sign of fatigue to note. I mean it's one thing to say he carries the planet on his back but... damn. Who even thinks they have a chance against something like that? (When Clark doesn't intend to outright hand them one. IE tower of Babel and EVERY fight with Bruce; because he's NEVER taken the gloves off, and never would. Batman even acknowledged this in Hush - which for all I know might also not be considered canon anymore, or ever have been) * It's been a fair while since I really read comics. For levels of endurance (keep in mind this might also not be exact canon) In Justice League Dark: Apocalips [I forget the exact title of the movie at the moment] Darkseid literally tattoos Clark's chest with his symbol, in Kryptonite. You know, the stuff that's SUPPOSED to be able to kill him... for a whole year; all it did was nerf him to slightly physically better than human. He still did a reasonable amount of fighting in that movie, and managed to do more than get by relying on friends. * Honestly the amount of times he's been shot, stabbed or faced a kyrptonite opponent you'd think by now someone would just say frig it, he's immunized. I think that might be why they had to go with magic - that's harder to reasonably counter. You know Darkseid was thinking to himself "Dang, I should have gone with blue or gold instead... oh well, maybe next time." (It might help if there wasn't almost literally a rainbow of variants that all do different things to Superman. Just saying)
A few things: He wasn't tired from the heat vision blast, he was like that because he vaporised the bodies of the dead Amazons. Some of his other feats come from recent movies as well, such as him chasing the rocket to the sun at far faster than light speeds, flying to the Sun in All Star (which means he was going many times faster than light), lifting the 200 quintillion tons, he could've lifted more.
Adding on to this from just All-Star Superman alone: - Confirmed that the 200 quintillion tons was a one handed lift, and that specific Superman had no upper limits. - He broke the arm of Atlas who lifted the planet (heavens). - Flew several thousand times faster than light, to get flowers from Alpha Centauri, whilst Lois had a shower. - Immune to Kryptonite in basically all forms. - Whilst severely weakened, was able to tank blows from a Kryptonian-powered Luthor. - Tanked blows from experienced Kryptonians who threw him into the moon. - Kills Solaris (who at base is easily (lowballing) planetary).
In Superman: All Star, when the sun turns blue, it might’ve given him enough power to do what he was able to do, even with the power he had earlier from being so near to the yellow sun. In some continuities, a blue star gives him even more power (or more power that is unpredictable), but I’m not saying this happened of course because idk with what the movie has as canon.
The moon explosion feat was impressive even more so because Coldcast claims it was "like fifteen suns exploding in his face." And he just shrugs it off for the most part.
8:10. Forget doomsday. Lois is the real indestructible being. She was right next to doomsday when superman released all his energy on to him AND SHE SURVIVED.
About the Shazam “feat” in injustice 1.. Billy power’s weren’t active when Superman killed him. Superman went out of his way to freeze Billy’s mouth shut so he couldn’t say the magic word to activate his powers. So, Supes essentially just killed a human in that scene.
He powers were fully active he wasn't in his child form and let's not forget he just fought and came back from a mission before he was killed...he powers were pretty much at their peak
@@adedotunsotunbo5571 I doubt his powers were active at that moment. Otherwise, why even bother freezing Billy’s mouth shut? Regardless of if he’s a full grown adult, Billy still seems to need to say the magic word in order to activate his powers.
@@phoenixthehedgehogelitetas1667 Billy needs to say the word shazam to transform, yes, but once he's transformed he has all of his powers, and is arguably one of the only characters who can physically match superman
Fixing a sun? That is insane. And yes. That beats any and all things that Superman has done in animation. He was basically enduring what can only be described 1 million nukes per second rapid fire for 1,000 fucking years. 31.5776 x 10^9 seconds in a thousand years. And then multiply that by one million nukes per second.
About superman killing shazam in I justice: Either it's a plot hole, or superman really is that powerful Before superman freezes his mouth, shazam tried to say, well, shazam Isnt that phrase reserved for when he wants to transform? Why would he transform back from a god to a kid, or teenager in that universe, when superman is angry at him?
Its kinda the go to tactic when Shazam fights Superman. When he says it, the bolt of lightning that transforms him isn't a anime transformation thing, its an actual blast of pure magic at high enough intensity to actually knock Supes off his feet. See Batman/Superman: Public Enemies, or Justice League Unlimited's Clash episode. If he does it enough, he actually stands a good chance of killing Supes.
I love your videos!!! These always brighten my day and I always learn something new, be it in science or the comic book universe. Thank you so much you are amazing!
It always impresses me when Superman does one of these feats. Even in animation, he manages to achieve crazy accomplishments. Do you think you could do a Lantern Corps video centered around the X-Men?
2:33 I'm pretty sure he was still Billy Batson when Superman did this, just older. You can see him attempt to transform before Superman grabs him and prevents him from saying it.
I mean to be fair for Shazam he wasn’t in his god form as when Superman grabs him he was about to say Shazam but Superman froze his mouth before he could do so because it’s ridiculous on how Superman can do that(I mean he is op yes) but casually melting a being that is literally made up of his 2nd weakness So it was a scary moment yes but not a powerful heat beam moment
@@skippydinglechalk. we will never get an explanation. Wonder woman has resisted his heat visions. Even focused ones. So how come Shazam who is basically Superman but powered by Magic getting manhandled by Superman with one arm and laser beams.
Man fixing earth sun ☀️ is the most amazing feats ever. See they say Superman is overpowered and not relatable, I say in what way, you have to understand him, see his most powerful power is hope, and most importantly him having Empathy and compassion that his true straight. Like he said I feel like I live in a cardboard box always having to keep myself in check, even for a moment or second someone can die, I’m gonna let that sit right there for you. He is simply theeeeee single incredible superhero ever made. Other than captain America
They said that when Superman took out the army if Doomsdays, that these were CLONES, significantly weaker than the original, but, more than powerful enough to task anyone lesser than Superman. I figured as much, since, if they were as strong as the original, whoever set them loose on Thymescara had to be able to control them, somehow, and, how are you gonna control a being like Doomsday, much less, an army of them at full power! When Superman lobotomized the one holding him up, and, was told, he could withstand an atomic blast, well, so can Superman, but, he was focusing on a point smaller than a dime, which I think, made all the difference! Though, I think the same tactic PROBABLY won't have the same effect, NEXT time! He'd be immune to damage like that in the future!
I'm not too sure Doomsday would be immune to this damage... I mean, if i understood correctly Doomsday's gimmick, it's that he becomes immune to what killed him the time before, but what happens to what didn't kill him ? From what we see, it can still work, or else there would be no chance at all for any supes win as early as a second confrontation
**Electric Blue Superman Form:** Superman, now clad in crackling blue energy, hovers above the battlefield. With a mere thought, he manipulates the very forces of nature around him. Magnetism bends to his will, pulling enemies off balance or repelling incoming attacks. Electricity dances at his fingertips, striking with precision and power. Gravity itself bows to his commands, allowing him to soar effortlessly or anchor foes in place. In this form, Superman is a living storm of energy, a force of nature to be reckoned with. **God of Strength Superman Form:** Transformed into the God of Strength, Superman's presence radiates power and authority. His eyes blaze with the fiery light of the Omega Beams, capable of tracking down and striking his enemies with unerring accuracy. The Anti-Life Equation hums in his veins, a potent force that bends the will of his foes to his command. In this form, Superman is a titan of destruction, wielding cosmic forces with a mere gesture. **Superman Prime One Million Form:** Ascending to Superman Prime One Million, the Man of Steel becomes a living star, his body suffused with the power of a thousand suns. Solar energy dances around him, empowering his every move with unstoppable force. Stellar manipulation is his birthright, shaping the very fabric of space with a glance. In this form, Superman is a celestial being, transcending mortal limits to become a cosmic force of nature. **Cosmic Armor Superman Form:** As Cosmic Armor Superman, the Last Son of Krypton dons a suit of living armor that gleams with the power of creation itself. Omnipotence courses through his veins, allowing him to reshape reality with a mere thought. Omnipresence grants him awareness of all that transpires across the cosmos, guiding his actions with perfect clarity. Omniscience fills his mind with the knowledge of all things past, present, and future. Omnibenevolence shapes his intentions, guiding him to use his power for the greater good. Reality warps at his touch, space and time bend to his will, and even the smallest particles dance to his command. In this form, Superman is not just a hero; he is a god among men, a being of limitless power and compassion.
The reason he does not destroy apocalypse is scale. Each single New God has the mass and durability of a planet. So their actual planets must be insanely tough. Propably around pure neutronium. It is just that boomtubes automatically rescale you to the reference size of the target place.
Fixing the FRICKING SUN is something that is unimaginably hard to accomplish, hence why I agree that this is one of if not his best feats ever in animation.
The scariest part is, with the possible exception of All-Star Superman, all depictions of Mr. Kent here are of the Post-Crisis version. The Pre-Crisis/Silver Age Superman was even *stronger*
2:41 this was a older billy. He was not in his Shazam form. That’s why Superman was covering his mouth so he doesn’t say Shazam 😟 if billy was in his Shazam form he would be the only person there besides a wonder woman that could take on Superman💯
The energy net isn't actually a result of being near the sun. He extended the bio aura that naturally surrounds him at all times, making him invulnerable. Him extending it is the reason why he's dying throughout the movie. When he saves the astronauts, you can see his suit burning from the heat of the sun. He was essentially mainlining solar radiation without anything to regulate the intake. He took in so much that his cells were overcharged.
In a cartoon from the 80s (I think it was superfriends) Superman pushed the Earth. Also, he didn't punch alternate Superman into orbit, he punched him into space.
In a late sixties' episode of The Justice League, Superman actually pushes the Earth back into its proper orbit. This was a segment of The Superman/ Aquaman Hour of Adventure.
Superman holding back isn’t just so he doesn’t kill his enemies but also so he doesn’t destroy the planet he happens to be fighting on

Superman really needs to start using his invisibility, intangibility and phasing a LOT more.
True And Much More Of His Speed To Finish Fights Instantly.
His greatest power is his humanity
Superman: *does these feats*
Lex: "I quit"
I've always found it interesting that not only does superman have to constantly hold back his strength but his speed as well
The moon explosion feat was impressive even more so because Coldcast claims it was "like fifteen suns exploding in his face." And he just shrugs it off for the most part.
Nonsense
It was evil Superman.
@@TheUnseenPath that’s not the point of this comment..
Finally!Ur back!Great video,love it.
11:50 the presence is infinitely stronger than Superman's most powerful forms combined
There's also the time in a Superfriends short that was shown on Toonami years ago when he moved the Earth.
Did you forget his costume not being vaporised while being near the sun
About superman killing shazam in I justice:
Either it's a plot hole, or superman really is that powerful
Before superman freezes his mouth, shazam tried to say, well, shazam
Isnt that phrase reserved for when he wants to transform?
Why would he transform back from a god to a kid, or teenager in that universe, when superman is angry at him?
He also says shazam when he wants to attack you with lightning.
Well supes doesn't kill kids
@@heliumhead5673 I mean he killed his unborn child does that count ?
@@samajai4638 well joker make him to think like that
The Goat.
Bro Superman really couldn’t take his fights in space. Destroyed a whole city multiple times 💀
Best video about superman and the exact truth of his power! Great video bro!
I haven't even really seen this man since 2015 and wow his account has grown
11:53 I don't wanna be rude, but is there a reason you specifically said it like that (All powerful Christian God, is God a DC character)?
Great video. I hope the new animated series is good
I love your videos!!! These always brighten my day and I always learn something new, be it in science or the comic book universe. Thank you so much you are amazing!
His most powerful feet would be letting himself go and using his full potential
It always impresses me when Superman does one of these feats. Even in animation, he manages to achieve crazy accomplishments.
Do you think you could do a Lantern Corps video centered around the X-Men?
Its so good to see you upload again 🙂
In smallville he pushed a planet the size of Saturn
Just one mistake Shazam wasn’t actually in the Shazam form it was magic to disguise him but that’s nothing good job very accurate man loved it
And Superman's best and greater moments have yet to come.
“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever.”-Walt Disney
Finally some Superman recognition
In the 1970's Super Friends.Superman pushed the entire Earth out of orbit
2:33 I'm pretty sure he was still Billy Batson when Superman did this, just older. You can see him attempt to transform before Superman grabs him and prevents him from saying it.
Never a dull moment.
Didn’t expect a Batman fanboy to make a Superman video
Surviving Omega beams is already an impressive feat that thing is like how Hakkai works
12:15 The most powerful version of Superman isn't Superman 1 million prime, that title goes to Cosmic Armor Superman (Thought robot)
Healing... the... sun.
Uh, DC, Jesus called.
He said:
"HOLY SHIT."
Him going into the sun was as good as him lifting the book of life
Did NOT know about "Superman one thousand"
Thanks for that
Shazam was in his human form when Superman fried his brain
I mean to be fair for Shazam he wasn’t in his god form as when Superman grabs him he was about to say Shazam but Superman froze his mouth before he could do so because it’s ridiculous on how Superman can do that(I mean he is op yes) but casually melting a being that is literally made up of his 2nd weakness
So it was a scary moment yes but not a powerful heat beam moment
That gives a lot more context
Except he was, Shazam was in his adult/hero form, not his kid form
@@skippydinglechalk. we will never get an explanation. Wonder woman has resisted his heat visions. Even focused ones. So how come Shazam who is basically Superman but powered by Magic getting manhandled by Superman with one arm and laser beams.
@@skippydinglechalk. i thought it was in the future so he was older. no?
@@thedelordhimselfgokublack its really inconsistent honestly but that’s interesting
I never considered Superman to be very responible.Imagine the Metropolis Insurance companies, they must hate this guy
Good tosee u back again
In one of the old (early to mid 1970s Super Friends episodes he moved the entire earth That is quite the feat of strength
Also in an old comic he moved an entire solar system and in a newer one he lifted something that weighs infinite
The sneezing part made me laugh hard 😂
U forgot to mention that Shazam was trying to turn into him and got killed without even turning yet
I feel that every physicist is having a head ache whenever they see superman.
Amazing video
Imagine a DARK-DAY Darkside mixed with Doomsday Superman would have to Dip in a Blue Sun for 500 years just to make a dent.
4:29: All the women in the background are like "Isn't that Superman? Oh god what the hell is he doing?"
**Electric Blue Superman Form:**
Superman, now clad in crackling blue energy, hovers above the battlefield.
**God of Strength Superman Form:**
Transformed into the God of Strength, Superman's presence radiates power and authority.
**Superman Prime One Million Form:**
Ascending to Superman Prime One Million, the Man of Steel becomes a living star, his body suffused with the power of a thousand suns. Solar energy dances around him, empowering his every move with unstoppable force. Stellar manipulation is his birthright, shaping the very fabric of space with a glance. In this form, Superman is a celestial being, transcending mortal limits to become a cosmic force of nature.
**Cosmic Armor Superman Form:**
As Cosmic Armor Superman, the Last Son of Krypton dons a suit of living armor that gleams with the power of creation itself.
That was fun & educational!
Fixing the FRICKING SUN is something that is unimaginably hard to accomplish, hence why I agree that this is one of if not his best feats ever in animation.
Thank you for your effort for us
When u mentioned the shaving using the heat vision u had my subscription 🤣✌
His newest power of Instant Transmission makes him even more OP!
I love this channel
In a cartoon from the 80s (I think it was superfriends) Superman pushed the Earth. Also, he didn't punch alternate Superman into orbit, he punched him into space.
In a late sixties' episode of The Justice League, Superman actually pushes the Earth back into its proper orbit. This was a segment of The Superman/ Aquaman Hour of Adventure.
Isn’t Shazam technically a child so superman just killed a child
Shazam was still billy batson, man.
He was trying to transform and Superman didn't let him. That's what happened.
what i needed in my life
