Your videos are always good. Just bought one of these earlier!
An excellent review of an excellent guitar; also, very intelligent remarks in regards with playability of different categories of acoustic guitars.
Thank you kindly!
It sounds great.
Wonderful looks and sound! Great video! Man, you've definitely put this guitar on my wish list!
I bought one based on this review. I love it to bits. I am blown away by the value for money. The only thing that will probably be upgraded are the tuners. They are not bad, but there are cheap alternatives on the market that are way better. Sound wise it's all you need from a Hog guitar.
Great to hear!
These guitars are such great value, I have a CLA-15MCE.
I'm about to buy one, second thoughts? What should i expect
@@Brankas Did you get one? If you did, how is it?
No. My brother ordered one, but I bought the Clgs-10s instead. I find the mahogany very quiet and not very versatile for me. The solid spruce top fits me better. It's a good guitar though. If you're really into a mid focused sound, maybe it's for you. Besides a very dry fretboard, he's pretty happy with it. The medium/high range Harley Bentons are very cool for this money.
@@Brankas Does the Clgs-10s sound like a full-size guitar? You prefer it to the cla15M, right?
Great playing
Thank you kindly!
Got the same guitar and I don't have any regret.
Playing this guitar for 3 month and happy with it. )
Sounds Good!
Just ordered one👍
Awesome!
I'd love if you could review the Guitto GGP-01 Piezo + Mic pickup
Hello, can you say something about the fretboard radius? Is it on the flat side (probably a 13'' maybe?)
Thank you in advance mate!
Any Thoughts on this guitar vs the Fender CD-60S. Both are similar. Mahogany, solid top. This has bone nut and saddle. I believe fender has plastic. But wondering about tone and playability
I think the differences are pretty minimal. Either guitar would suffice for the same types of gigging and recording, so you can’t go wrong either way.
It seems the ones available now are made of okoume, which is a bit different than just straight up mahogany...
Have you ever tried a Cort L450C? I'm considering buying a used Cort L450C (aged 8-10 years, but as the seller says,it remained always in its gigbag) or a used HB CLA-15M. Can you suggest which one is better? I think your review of this HB is one of the best on YT, great job and thank you!
Thank you! I haven't played the Cort, however -- it seems to me that alot of these types of guitars actually come from the same manufacturer. This isn't something I'm positive of, but I've played a number of other guitars essentially exactly the same as this but all from different companies. Makes me think that the build is licensed just with different brand names and headstock shapes when necessary. So generally speaking, I'd go with the one that looks like the better deal, as I imagine quality will be extremely comparable.
@@JackFossett Thank you for your reply! It's so frustrating not being able to try both guitars at the same time and then decide what to buy
@@JackFossett Chances are this HB is made in the Cort factory. It looks an awful lot like the Sigma, Cort, Ibanez equivalents. I once had the CLP-15m. Good guitar for the price!
Just don't understand why this guitar is not sold with a pick up system, it seems to be the only model without this option.
The pickup systems in acoustic guitars usually doesn’t allow the guitar to show how it really sounds like
Has anyone drawn a comparison between this and the 000-15m Martin? I can't understand how it could be that cheap.
Sehr schone Gitarre freund
They seem to be really nice, is it really worth it?
for the price, absolutely
Hey Jack, nice video. Honestly, how do you think this stacks up against the original, Martin 000-15m? Obviously the Martin will be on another level but how big do you really think the difference is? This Harley Benton sounds pretty damn good but the 00015m is one of the nicest acoustics I ever played
How is the string spacing with the 43mm nut?
Hello Jack, which mahogany guitar do you advise? This one, Cort AF510M or Fender Cc-60s? I'd like to buy an acoustic guitar of good quality for a good price. Thank you!
I haven’t played the Cort, but this one is an excellent guitar for a really good price. I even used it recording and it sounded great. And Fenders pretty much are always a safe bet!
@@JackFossett thank you!
I'm in the same boat. I can't decide between this and Fender CD-60S.
@@fahdchoudry7763 At the end I believe that for me I'll buy Harley Benton. I never tried it before and I'm curious about it, especially for the many and many positive feedbacks. But actually it's not available on Thomann, so I'll wait.
@@RobyMetal13 I know I'm 7 months late, but the CLA-15M is currently available. Just placed an order for one, can't wait to try it!
Wow that's an amazing guitar for that price! Just one question, what's the name of the song you play in 0:30 - 1:25 ??
Its an original tune called "Indecent"
@Manu it reminds me of "Midnight rider" by Gregg Allman.
what strings complement this guitar
I like Elixirs
They keep calling it mahogany but the description says Okume!??
This or Orangewood?
Would you choose this over fender cc 60s?
Its hard to say as I haven't played the CC. But generally I much prefer Fender to HB.
@@JackFossett Alright thanks!
Hi, which guitar would you choose between this and the Takamine GN 10? Thanks
I haven’t played that one, but generally speaking I’d go for a Takamine over an HB. The HBs are great and a real bang for the buck, but Takamine has been around for a long time and has more of a history and name. So if price is relatively similar or not an issue, my guess would be the Takamine will be a better investment.
where did you order that?
These are available from Thomman Music
@@JackFossett thanks sir. if its ok if the guitar deliver here at saudi arabia?
@@jervizmraz1681 that I don't know, you'd have to check their policies.
That looks like it was made in the same factory as Ibanez’s all-mahogany guitar. I had an Ibanez all-mahogany guitar like that, but “open-pore”, and the neck would move with the weather. I traded it in for a Martin GPRS1, which takes a littler more time to open up, but I’m really pleased with the Martin for $649.
Yeah I'm not sure where these are made or what factory. Thats more of a Philip McKnight question. It is very similar to an Alvarez I used to own.
