I've got one of the natural ones. I changed the strings and had to work on the fret edges which would otherwise saw a player's hands in half. Now it's done it's more comfortable to play than my Takamine, and honestly the shine on the top looks better, although it doesn't sound quite as good. Frankly this model is the bargain of the decade, if not century.

Thanks, this is very helpful and reassuring, I'm trying to decide on a cheap guitar I can store at my parent's for when I visit for a longer time, as well as a replacement for my old guitar at home that has a broken bridge - so I thought about this one in natural as the "vacation" model and a slightly more expensive mahagony one for my home, simply because I like the look, but this would be my first test. Nice how times have changed, my old guitar was a cheap beginner's model by Johnsson (have they disappeared?) too but still came at the price of both of these combined. :)

@@guitarwithbob I might be insane, given the last time I bought an instrument I paid 10X the price for a Hagström... but... I'm even seriously considering their very cheapest option now, because honestly I really like it's looks better - the 69€ (79€ with pickup) CG-45 in mahagony... maybe that'd be worth a test too?
@@guitarwithbob I think one reply disappeared here ( I linked the Hagström Viking) but update on the CG-45: Yes, I was talking about the cheapest Harley Benton at Thomann's, you don't find it in the Dreadnought category but under Folk/Travel, or as part of the "Blues Guitar Set". I bought it now, not that I cared about the 10 Euro difference but honestly I thought it looked better than the D-120. It arrived 2 days ago and I must say I'm really impressed - especially by it's playability, I wish I had such a playable beginner's guitar when I started. When you look closely it's of course no luxury build, but it was perfectly playable out of the box and there's nothing a quick neck adjustment or a light filing on the frets can't fix in 5 minutes. Sound is a bit metallic and not as warm/full as I hoped, but loud and clear - I haven't put on new strings yet and I'm sure these would improve the sound a lot - but at least IMO this is a really great beginners guitar. And tbh it is a really good looker, I'm a bit sad that it doesn't stay here at my home and already consider another Mahagony guitar (CG-15). Anyway, a guitar I'd really like to see a review on, since I'm no expert, and thanks for the reassurance to give those cheap Harley Bentons a try. :) Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk!

@@chrissoclone to be honest with you, I'm not familiar with Hagström guitars. By CG45 you're referring to a Harley Benton model though, right?
