I just bought zlx 15p G2 and can not figure out how to update the firmware. I try to connect on an iPad and it says update but keeps disconnecting. There is no USB connection on this model so I'm lost. Looked everywhere on EV's site and nothing, no troubleshooting? can you give any insight on that model?
@@radiodjs1 Hey buddy! The speaker WILL work, you just can utilize the “app” to control the individual channel volumes. Once you bluetooth the speaker to your device and open the app, it will automatically tell you to update the speaker. It just may take a while. It did this to me, and I had 40 minutes til the ceremony and it didn’t update in time. 😏
@@djdannybhtx I tried to do that tonight and the app kept disconnecting. I shut wifi off and made sure I kept the app open but it would only run for a minute or two and then disconnect from the speaker. Can't figure it out.
@@SongsfromtheBasement Oh wow, that's very strange! But it did show that there was an update yes? How was the battery on the speaker and the ipad? Maybe if the battery on either is low, it recognizes that it will not have enough power to complete the update? I'm curious to see what you find out.
@ so I ended up taking the speaker home with me from the venue and trying the firmware update with my iPhone rather than the iPad and it worked. Very frustrating though as I would think I company as popular as EV would have provided more info on this. There is NOTHING! The new speaker has no usb connection as described in the only videos I could find so you have to update via Bluetooth. Only thing I can think is the signal from the iPhone is faster/stronger than the iPad? I’m also a little annoyed that I had to spend hours updating a brand new out of the box speaker. I’m thinking maybe there’s something wrong with it as this model just came out?
@ yeah thats strange brother! Everyone says the update is quick but both of my Everse speakers needed updates and it took like an hour to complete! Thats crazy!
Absolutely love them! I was using the Blink 500 Pro B2's for a long time, but they had intermittent problems. My good friend told me about the Comica HD system and how he loves it and never had issues with it, and I can definitley say they are a GREAT system to have.
Great tip!!! You got all of us checking our Firmware right now including me!! Don’t want to get caught with our pants down when it’s game time!!

It seems crazy to me that the speaker won't work without updated firmware. Aaaaand...Why didn't you demonstrate HOW to update the firmware?

No worries, connect your speaker bluetooth to the Everse Quick Smart app and I will immediately tell you if u need an update :)
What mics are you using for ceremony? You said a brand but i can't find them.
