When I was little I would often use my NES and the games I had just for music while I played with legos. My mother despised it and often told me that game music would never be taken seriously. That it was just electronic noise and not real music.
Videos like this warm my heart and make the little girl I once was smile.

ReizeFTW Actually, it was a robot controlled by Wily. He's sitting at control panel steering that can-looking thing that was the alien. Both the alien and the starry space were just holograms.
Bubble Lead was Heat Man's weakness so it was used only one other time besides the final boss battle
JarJarBoy Yeah oke. But when you played it for the first time you did maybe not know. But a robot being weak to water also makes a lot of sense
True, if you never beat him for example, it's hard to see the end cinematic.
A tough song to arrange to keep interesting throughout but HOT DAMN was this great!

I listened to the CD for three days straight after seeing Taylor perform live, the performance and the CD are both brilliant! This is one the tracks that I kinda get a little too into.
Watched this probably 20 times now (since yesterday) 2:55-2:58 gives me shivers everytime. Truly is a blessing to be able to watch you enjoy playing these old school nes songs. Keep rocking 🤘💥💥🤘

I don't think that mega man would have a movie. ( like.....there's almost nothing to take out the games to create a interesting movie. ) now, maybe a final episode of a mega man series, with mega man having a hard and tough battle against wily, and this song playing at the background....yes, would be awesome.

Production value, video design and performance is awesome as always. You guys kinda outdid yourself on this one. Sadly I'm not really a fan of the actual song interpretation, but that's a personal thing.

I don't usually tend to post criticisms on youtube, but I have to agree. The production value on these videos has gotten so high that it is actually DISTRACTING from the music. It's great that whoever does her videos went to film school and all, but we're here to watch an amazing violinist play, not try desperately to see her through constantly shifting light and motion effects as if he's trying to get hired by Michael Bay. And yes as TLEG said, I also feel like as the video production value has gone up, the quality of the actual arrangements has gone down. The last couple really haven't done it for me at all. I too liked it better overall when it was just her in a room playing her own arrangement over a relatively simple backing track.
I admit, compared to the original, it feels somewhat lacking, but I still enjoy the song for what it is.
While the video production is a bit distracting, at least she isn't dancing all over the place... As for the overall interpretation of the song, it's almost too close to the original to make a judgment on which of the two is preferable. Overall, the song is okay, but I get the feeling that you're getting a bit rushed or tired, Taylor. Take a break if you need to, I know I'll understand.

Megaman 2 is still one of my favorite games over 20 years later. Best soundtrack of the 8-bit days. I have clear memories of walking into kindergarten with this song stuck in my head. Great job as always Taylor! Please do a show in Pittsburgh sometime! ... heck, I'd even settle for Philly and make the drive.

Just complete awesome. I've loved all your work, and the fact that you do video game songs at all blows me away, but this... I grew up on the old NES games... Missed notes? No.. She was improvising the entire time and giving things a little twist here and there. That's what jazz musicians do. As a musician i can tell she is very musicially educated and is probably the best musician I've seen playing the Wily Stage music so far.
In fact, she added tons of extra notes. It sounds great

Wily 1 from Rockman 2 is a good song, but this one way overshadows the others. What about Blue's Castle 1 from Rockman 5, or Wily 1 from Rockman 7? Those are equally worth of arrangement.
Almost all of the fortress themes are amazing. This one is just the most recognizable to most. Others include
Wily's Fortress 1 from rockman 1,
Wily's Castle 2nd from rockman 2 (The one after this theme)
Both of Cossack's Citadel Themes from rockman 4,
Blues' Castle from rockman 5,
Mr. X's Tower 1 from rockman 6,
Wily's Castle 1 / 3 from rockman 7,
King's stage / Wily Castle from Rockman and Forte,
"Flash in the Dark" / "Strange World" (Wily castle 1 / 3) from rockman 9,
"Final Destination" from rockman 10,
Wily's Space Fortress from Rockman World 2,
Ballade's theme from Rockman World 4...
You get the point.
OMG, you are using the Japanese names.
Man do I love the Japanese names way more than the US names.
I wish I could get the Rockman games with the English translations but still using the proper Japanese names such as Rockman, Blues, Forte ect... If Capcom did that I would throw them tons of money, sadly I doubt that will ever happen which makes me sad.
As for Rockman music, I love the opening of Rockman 7, that music was so awesome. Wish there was more of that.
The opening of Rockman 4 also springs to mind for another good one.
Rockman 9 has some really good ones as well, Flash in the Dark doesn't get nearly enough love as Rockman 2's castle theme.
The intro to Rockman 7 is actually a remix of Rockman 6's ending, if I remember correctly

That's correct, the Rockman 6 credits theme is partly reused for the intro theme of Rockman 7. This was Capcom repeating themselves - they did the same thing with Rockman 1's credits theme being partly reused for Rockman 2's intro.
