- This is the story of how I beat the hardest Pokemon game - a Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge of the Emerald Kaizo romhack.

1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each route
3. Nickname all Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items ok)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Hey, what was the website you used to calculate the IVs and like place all the Pokémon ? It looked super useful! Love the video btw amazing stuff :)
@@somegingerkid8419 If you are talking about the software we can see for example at 1:01:35 it is called PKHex. There is a version dedicated to Emerald Kaizo called EKHex but the base software is PKHex.
You load your in-game savestate into it and you have access to all infos about your mons ;)

You should totally do pokemon wack :) It's a... rather unique fangame, especially if you go in blind.

lol YEP there are some rarer strats without blowing up everything but they require very specific mons - sunflora sets up growths while crawdaunt and nidoking pivot around to keep flora safe to sweep after setup

Why are Pokemon slowly becoming shiny as the run carries on? Is this multiple runs stitched together to tell a full story?
Great question - in my stream I have a channel points redemption to make any mon shiny using PKHEX. So by the end almost every min has been redeemed. I also use PKHEX to check IVs, and that’s always shown on screen to viewers to make sure I’m not being a silly cheater. It’s all the same run!

Congrats on the finish and seriously an amazing video, great storytelling, and mindset on completing this. You should try Pokemon Unbound Insane Hardcore Nuzlocke it is considered to be nearly impossible with the gimmicks the game has involved in it.
Funny you mention Unbound, because it is high on my list of what's next after I beat Run and Bun
