Crete is magical place but Spinalonga fascinates me even more. Is incredible how a tiny island (a huge rock to be precise) has so much history. Also back in the days if you want to cursed someone you said that he originates from spinalonga or he should live there 😅It was kinda of taboo island. PS: Best places to live in Greece my personal view: Outskirts of Athens (North, East), Chalkida(capital of Euboea island),Ermoupolis(capital of Cyclades), Rhodes, Crete (Chania, Rethymno), Corfu, Nafplio (first capital of Greece), Kalamata, Volos (both of them fascinating nature,food and good services).
This is stunning, and remember this is a TINY view of Crete. The western part is for example much greener and the south is really wild. The middle is a huge wine area that resembles Tuscany but in my opinion better, more beautiful, mountains around and sea in the distance etc. Crete has 5 mountain ranges. And the white mountains in west of Crete is truly a feast to behold
The beach there is not only beautiful, but also very clean! That fried Feta Cheese in honey looks very delicious! It is very suitable to live there, I support you to buy a house there as a holiday villa. Great job again, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙌

Some unrelated things I want to say inspired by your video: You are experiencing Crete during the best time, May and June. I know that this year May was unusually cold and rainy, but for the time being it’s the exception, not the rule. In summer time people jump into the water from that big cliff in Agios Nikolaos 😮 When a Brazilian praises the quality of your waters, you must have some pretty nice waters 😂
Hello, if you have time still I highly recommend that you visit Symi island, Tilos and Nyssiros. I think these are one of the best islands I have been to in Greece and certainly very laid back and relaxed.
I was at Tasmanian village hotel - Elounda Bay chiasma. Had my classic 70s/80s misic and used to smile and wave at Spinalonga boats… Idyllic and serene 😎👍😊

I'd recommend you to read a book called The Island by Victoria Hislop. It talks about Plaka and a life on Spinalonga when it was used as a leprosy colony. People who formed relationships were advised not to have children and if a healthy baby was born it was usually removed from the parents and the island. Very moving!

You didnt visit vai, xrisi island, the knosos and ohter palaces, the gorges and plato of katharo,lasithi qnd a lot of arheologist sites......for kriti neebs one year to explore everithing......
Hi, in Karpathos spend more time in the Eastern side of the island. Much more spectacular. Do not miss the APELA beach and of course the olympos village
Spinalonga was an island for the people with Leprosy. Pretty much a facility that they got sent to die. Leprosy is a spreading disease and there's no cure, so they had to be locked away from healthy people. There is a book about it called Nisi (The Island) by Victoria Hislop which was turned into a TV series aswell.
Nooo dudes... you mist some really nice places around Matala and South Heraklion (grew up there)... but this May was much more colder and rainier than usually...

Nice work, i watch ur videos about Crete , to correct one repeated info about the Phoenician were there 1500 BC. about 3500 years ago, when Crete was not even part of Greece . So they had no interference with arabs , because there were no Arab anywhere or Greeks per say, at that time.
