In the Winter months you can really visit amazing places , good prices , excellent conditions and nice food everywhere.. Best time in spring Mai June and in the end of Summer September . I was there several time , Bit one time in August and it was to hot. The clear water , the climate without to much humity Like in tropic countries are very healthy . I Hope come Back in September . We're off to kos for 8 weeks this Saturday and I got 55 nights for £2930 self catering appartment in kefalos, that's £53 a night which I thought was reasonable and I also got 28 days car hire from 24th July to 21st August for £760 that's only £27.00 a day with collision waiver, unlimited miles etc ! Il jump on the bus back to airport to pick up car after our 1st week there.

We are going towards end of August beginning of September, Athens Delphi Meteora Naxos Santorini, the prices are definitely double or triple and I booked them all back in Feb-March even, but we havent even been there yet but I know from watching your videos we will be going back, even 2 or 3 more times, it is just a beautiful country!
We spent 3 months travelling around Greece and certainly in Kefalonia and Santorini we had a few occasions like you both where the internet just didn't really work, we had to rely on data to upload videos too. Greece is worth the effort though as you know!

Restaurant prices are quite stabile all year around. Myconos and Santorini are always expensive. And so on… Accomodation prices in popular places may rise 50 % or even 100 % in July-August, but they do not triple or quadruple. Greed has not taken over totally in Greece, yet, and Greeks have to afford travelling here and spending their holidays here, as well. They are usually bigger spenders than tourists, and feast with style and gusto.

Νo Angela isn't a lot many think this I have 3 children (14.16.19 years old) and 2 me and my wife in my house and spend every month about 2.8-2.85 thousands euro [~3000 us dollar's] and you know "This is simple life today in Hellas."
Great editing for your Greek travels I love the map with the prices and seeing the islands recommended. You both worked really hard on editing and travel research. I travelled to mainland Greece & visited Athens with my husband this year early June and it was incredible, some of the very best beaches in Europe and wonderful people and great food yes I agree better prices outside of peak season on accommodation and weather was just perfect. :)

We just got back and spent 4453 euros for 23 days for 193 euros a day. We had some big ticket expenses that normal tourists wouldn't have. But overall i think it is a good indicator what people would spend. Our trip was June and we had car throughout trip including ferries.

Strength of the Euro is slightly more than the dollar but it fluctuates, right now you can get about 90 Euro for 100 US. That’s good! About 10% but has been quite a bit higher in the past at 30-50%. So looks like a good time to travel there, wish I could!

It's too run down for our liking.Having mobility issues I'd never survive many of those uneven roads and walkways.The beaches not that special and the tourists making even off season crowded maling it less exciting. Dodgy internet a turn off. Restaurants having near identical menu items a little boring. Glad we saw it through your eyes but we'll be sticking with the Carribean from now on. Simply closer to our home much more modern and appealing.

Churches were converted to mosques by the Ottomans. That is why you can't tell the difference. The synagogue in the old Town is one of the oldest in Europe.
We went to Stalis on Crete beginning of May. We were astounded at the cost of everything, and I do mean, everything. The cost of the flights and accommodation was already paid for. I am talking about a prices of food and shopping in any supermarkets. The prices of everything was on a par, and sometimes more than UK prices. Even fuel was dearer than UK?

As a rule of thumb for Greece and costs: As long as you avoid July and August you will be fine!
Next time you visit Greece you should go to sithinia in chalkidiki for sure it’s a hidden gem

June and September are great for visiting Greece, cheaper prices, good weather, and not overcrowded.I can suggest it, because I’m Greek, and I do what I suggest.Cheers from Athens.
@@KNIGHTTEMPLAR555 Many many years ago I spent 2 weeks on Thasos, so wonderful, I think it was in June..We camped in my VW bus and had a beautiful cove sandy beach all to ourselves, maybe those days are all gone.

We went to Stalis on Crete beginning of May. We were astounded at the cost of everything, and I do mean, everything. The cost of the flights and accommodation was already paid for.
I am talking about a prices of food and shopping in any supermarkets. The prices of everything was on a par, and sometimes more than UK prices.
Even fuel was dearer than UK?
