43:56 I'm sure this has been pointed out, but there would be no Galazeth Prismari copy as Kambal had already been triggered that turn to make a defender token when Jimmy activated the Darreti.
Also I'm not sure if I'm mistaken, but did Jake really had the mana to play the sublime epiphany? He tapped the Maze of Ith for mana to activate Mara's ability during his turn (for the Jeska's will).
yeah, when I saw this I deleted my comment pointing this out. No need to pile on. So far 6 people have made comments calling out the Galazeth copy Rachel made.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I freaking love Rachels deckbuilding! Jarvis' deck also looked pretty cool, honestly didn't think much of it when it was first described. Cool episode.
Amazing game and we could see a little bit of Jakes deck! All decks looked great the energy was flowing! And Rachel like always cool, playing along and go for the win with a unique way
Damn, this 5 colour energy deck is brilliant considering Madison Li was not as great as I had hoped for an energy commander in EDH. I love how sneaky cards like Troll of Khazad-dum can be with Swampcycling enabling you to go get a dual land and set up your graveyard for shenanigan's. I use a bunch of those land cycling creatures in my new Mimeoplasm deck to get landfall triggers and give my Mimeoplasm something to become. When a vehicle gets in a vehicle: that's hawt LOL ;p
@@jonlamoreaux2228 dude. Mistakes happen on a complex board state especially when it's a show as the flow can get interrupted for production reasons, even when you have an in-house judge (and I don't know if Command Zone has one, especially for Extra Turns). Leaving aside that I've never seen Rachel being anything other than forthright in any show, cheating *in a friendly for broadcast* would be the dumbest thing you could do, there's literally no upside.
She's so much fun! I built her with a lot of combat tricks since they're cheap to cast and put under Attractions, and a lot of Prowess creatures. Bloomburrow turned it into an Otter circus, so it's even more whimsical and entertaining to play.
Great episode! Always love watching this channel. You guys should do an episode where everyone uses busted commanders against each other to see what’s the best but swap decks with someone before you start so they don’t have time to prepare 😆
Great game, but there was a mistake. Kambal's ability only triggers once per turn, so during the sublime epiphany, it would not create the copy of the legendary creature because it already copied the construct with defender that turn.
Jake you have no idea how stoked I am to see the Astrotorium queen herself finally getting a spot as a Commander. I love attractions, I love Unfinity, and I want to live in the Astrotorium when I die: It is my heaven. Please win hard.
I just recently built Shilgengar cause the art is sick. His ability to play at instant speed is just nuts. Doing everything at instant speed right before taking a turn is an amazing feeling
I can't understand the mega Aether Spike play. It wasn't that bad for him, you lose your Kenrith who can be recast, but still get to keep the Soul guide that's basically the engine, AND you're protecting your opponent's boards. It was the play of the game, for Rachel.
My guess is - he had some kind of setup on hand and in graveyard that could let him win the game on the spot if he had Kenrith out next turn. The bats weren't known thing, and it didn't look like Rachel had a chance to win that turn. It's only a guess, but it would make the play sensible.
@@Areinu It might be, but considering Rachel goes before him, and she clearly displayed some nasty combos with her Commander in play, I'd say it was still a dubious call.
As someone who is relatively new to the game, I am confused why Rachel still had to sacrifice a creature if the spell was countered? Shouldn't priority have had to come back to Jimmy and then Rachel would start her sacrificing?
@@ianoble She didn't sacrifice creatures to Jimmy's card, she did that in response to the spell, so she could take some advantage of his commander, since she couldn't do anything else, and she didn't know that Jarvis was going to counter it (the commander would have been sacrified, since it was the highers CMC on her board). So, priority cycled to Rachel, she took some actions (sacrificing creatures to his commander's ability), then she passes priority (she announces that), and priority cycled to Jarvis, who countered the spell, then noone else had game actions, and with the spell countered, the stack was empty, so Jimmy continued with his turn. I hope that calirifies it.
Aaaand I was right. Slightly more unique decks than last time, Attractions was okay, but Myra is still one of best and most common commanders from Unfinity.
Yeah they took that one personally XD . My top comment roasting them lmao. I wouldn't call the decks "wacky" but I guess unique. But hey who cares in the end
I love these new variant plays you come up with & next episode looks fun too! I would love to see another episode of you play with that plains walking deck. ( like the cards and die that came in each Dr. Who commander deck)
Myra is actually quite powerful. Her and Magar being able to repeatedly cast powerful Instants and Sorceries is not something to let your guard down on. Don't let them being Un-cards fool you.
Only time I played against a myra deck it was all tutors and extra turn spells under attractions. He did not untap much that game when we saw what he was trying to do XD
@@Lazydino59 Dang, that's a bummer. I'm personally not a fan of extra turn spells in Commander. It is for sure a very powerful effect, but the main reason is that it's just not a fun tactic (for me at least). I want for other players in casual to all do their thing, do the thing their deck was designed to do. I want for them to have roughly 25% of an impact on the game and time that they were doing things in that game so that they actually got to 'play' Magic. But if you just play and have everyone watch you play until you slowly kill them, that's a bummer. So each time I see a player go the extra turns route for any legendary creature at the helm, it's just sad to see (again, to each their own, if you and your pod are cool with it, then I'm happy you all have that option).

Jake made a minor misplay, he needed to cast spells on end of draw step, so he could see his draw before making decisions. He still gets to roll for attractions during his main phase.
20:18 jake just played a spell resolved it then did cast triggers. The apell would resolve after cast triggers. Yes it didnt matter in this instance, but it can matter especially in a deck like that.
Shouldn't the Chaos warp under the attraction not work when Myra isn't there.. because she gives the effect? Also when it happens on other moments, but i am just there

Have to laugh at Jimmy saying 'Don't hurt me' while swinging a 13 power commander at someone.
Jimmy’s decision to attack Jake and Jarvis’ counter were super questionable decisions based on where Rachel was in the game😂
jimmy punted the game when he kept removing myra while kambal was still on board. Rachel benefited from the curse more then jimmy did.
43:43 Rachel shoud not have a Galazeth prismari token, she already had her trigger from Kambal when Jimmy make a contruct token before combat.
noticed the same thing. that would have changed a few things.
The funny part is that had the Assembly Line come out with Sphinx still in play, he would've gone infinite with lifegain and 3/3 bodies.

Flamewar rules. I've had that deck together for a while. She's an absolute unit.
