>Perfected You could say the same about Portal 1, which Valve even felt they had nowhere to go on it, to the point they almost gave up on a sequel, then Portal 2 happened :V
I'm still hoping they go for 2.5. I found the platforming in the originals more fun than in Sackboy. Also it would make create mode more accessible. You need a PhD in Dreams to make something good
yea I haven't played sackboy but I thought 3d didn't fit the game. I would have played the shit out of it if it was 2.5d. I feel like that's where a lot of the charm comes from.
As much as I liked Sackboy A Big Adventure, I missed the whole level creation back in LBP. There was a whole community that had creativity and a passion and I feel that since ABA doesn't have it, it loses replayability once you beat or completed the game. Once you've seen everything, that was it and LBP had an infinite amount of content thanks to created levels by players. I hope if Sony or Sumo Digital wants to continue using this IP that they bring what made LBP what it is.
Whether or not we do end up getting LBP4, the series does look like it has a future. They’re still putting out several new costumes for Sackboy even nearly 3 years after launch, so perhaps something is in the works for this franchise? But it’s hard to say for sure. If we don’t get LBP4, hopefully Restitched gives the LBP community something new to play with for a good while. Also it’d be kinda neat if Media Molecule uploaded that LBP tech demo they made for Dreams PS4 back in 2018… I dunno, I just think that’d be pretty cool.
I still love how I literally grew up with LittleBigPlanet. The first game came out the same year I was born and it's an amazing coincidence that I loved the game itself.
I love LBP3 and its so amazing and I love the fact that people aren't giving up on Lbp so quickly its me and my siblings fav game me and my siblings would scream if LBP4 came out it would be so much fun! Also I love how you say the shop owner is annoying and that you don't even remember his name. His name is zoom zoom and his store is zoom zoom's Fashion Emporium.
man in my opinion in little big planet 2 has the best story especially introducing the sackbots and and the main antagonist the negativitron. I need a remaster of Little Big Planet 1 & 2 and then need a little bit planet 4 with online access and add split screen and keep creativity mode and also the music the music was always epic keep it that same energy I need it it little bit planet is my childhood and forever will be
I think sumo will possibly work on a 2d-3d mix LBP4 due to their comment on LBP4.. They have been pressured on doing LBP4 so they might aswell listen and do it to make millions. honestly if they do, I’d be so happy because I grew up with LBP3 and it was so amazing, It would be even better with a creative mode in 3d and 2d mixed!
I actually wouldn’t like lbp4 to be an 3D game because I think it would change the idea of the game but if they do one new game I would love gettting all lbp1 songs on it like Song2, The wilderness and the gardens
I’ve spent literal thousands of hours creating levels and diving deep into the aspects of the engine’s rules of “programming” and would love to see LBP4 released. Infact i’m currently studying electrical engineering due to taking an interest in the “engineering” i did while making logic components for my levels. A release of LBP4 would definitely invigorate myself to pick up some of my projects that i’ve never fully finished, such as a calculator and an intelligent counter. I just sort of lost interest due to the slow decay of the community. The amount of disappointment i felt when i saw the 3D game didn’t have a level creator was immeasurable…
I personally wouldn't like a fully 3D little big planet game, one of the original things that gave the game it's charm is the fact that it's 2.5D, Anyway.. I just prefer the charming layered system to any 3D one, a fun idea would be 20 layers, I'm sure the newer PlayStations could handle it.
Although I highly doubt it's gonna happen, I really hope that the project Mm has recently announced that they're working on is a LittleBigPlanet 4. Best to not get my hopes up though, it'll probably be a completely new IP (or tearaway 2) great video btw
There is a group of people that tried to bring little big planet to pc, with mouse functionality in build mode and in menus. It looked really good and polished. They got a cease and desist from Sony. So now they are making their own game! It’s called Restitched and it looks a lot like Little Big Planet, with costumes, build mode, and platforming with layers. Coming soon on Steam 🤷♂️
This is 1000000000% a great idea! Release a remastered edition LPB1, 2 & 3 to make hype for 4 on PS5 or launch their PS6. There might be a licensing problem with MM or Sumo & Sony. Not sure. 🤞🤞🤞
sadly I was never here for LBP 1 & 2 but I am a LBP fan none the less. I never gave up on lbp. always kept it installed. always played it time to time. bought sackboy a big adventure. this series is amazing and I hope it continues to grow. the best part is. its made for children and you can make mind blowing games in this one little game lbp1 2 and 3 games all together and if 4 comes it will be one hell of a comeback for little big planet..
In my opinion I think dreams was the natural progression of lbp as that was more of a fully fledged game development engine which is probably why Mm moved onto dreams rather than sticking with lbp
tbh if they refined the mechanics a bit, i'd be fine with a Sackboy: A Big Adventure sequel. But what I kinda wanna see is the game spinning off into other styles of games while keeping the classic creative charm. Imagine something like an LBP RPG where you can create your own adventures, boss battles, etc in tandum with a story referencing past lbp games or possible future ones. While I have a lot of complaints with SABA, it's the first major LBP spinoff that isn't a mobile runner or karting game. Seeing how much effort they poured on the game and how likeable of a cast they could make gives me hope they could try a few other spin-offs and see what sticks. While LBP is about creation, creativity and sharing is the heart of the LBP franchise, even in the smallest amounts of customization.
I love this game series too! Unfortunately, the online service for LBP3 has ended in the area where I live, so I have no choice but to look forward to the next LBP4. (私もこのゲームシリーズが大好きです! 残念ながら私の住む地域ではリトルビッグプラネット3のオンラインサービスが終了している為、次のリトルビッグプラネット4を待つしかありません)
I will have to agree on what you mentioned at the beginning, I see protentional in an ip like Lbp. But the thing is, mm are more focused on the game Dreams then anything else right now, so it will not be surprising that they haven't updated lbp3 in a long time. Who knows, maybe the next gen might reveal Lbp4 or some other title. ALSO, wasn't there a leak a couple of months ago about a potential remaster for the three major titles to be out together for steam?? We have not heard from that in a hot while, so It might not be true, but at the same time, we might have to wait a little while just to see. (I'm not sure how that'll work with online tbh) There's a game in the works at the moment called Restitched and its amazing, please go check it out. I feel like once that game releases, it'll potentially be the next big lbp that everyone has been waiting for. And I think every level made will be published via steam workshop I believe, and I think that's really awesome! Other then that, great video!!
Sackboy A Big Adventure is just Super Mario 3D World honestly, would have been interesting to see like the 3D World Approach where they have 4 unique characters with different playstyles in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. I say this because we have 4 incredibly cool sackthings in this series and I think it could be a very different idea if out of 4 players each person had to play a different one. Though to be honest all of them are vastly different compared to Mario 3D World where all 4 have pretty much the exact same everything except jump and speed. Either way it's a great game that I too recommend and I do hope that your speculations do come true as both a Little Big Planet Collection and a 4th installment would be fantastic to see!
If they had a new LBP, one thing I hope is that we’ll be able choose the format of our level, we should be able to choose between the new 3D format, and the OG 2D format. But my biggest hope, is that the doesn’t come out buggy. As for the remakes, I think it would be a better idea to have all the previous campaigns IN LBP4 as a bonus for beating the main LBP4 campaign, with a couple of tweaks of course. In order to make the game very stable, they’d have to make whole new servers, so having the previous campaigns in LBP4 would be a great for old fans to get their stuff back, and for newer fans to experience the previous campaigns, IN GLORIOUS 4K. How awesome is that?
Great video! Media Molecule just announced that they will be ending support for Dreams soon to focus on a new game... maybe they're going back to LBP and are working on LBP4? I also thought about a collection, they could also maybe remaster them etc and maybe bundle it all into one game, story collection of everything bundled together in one game so to say and they could use the touch pad as a replacement for the touch screen of the ps vita, maybe you could press on it to switch to the back touch pad etc. There are also custom servers for LBP1,2,3 and Vita like Infinite, where people can still play Online on.
I don't know, man. A part of me wants to be excited about the possibility of a new mainline LBP game, but realistically if they were to make another game it'd probably be a SABA sequel - hell, the series might just shift to this new style of gameplay altogether. It's shorter, less complex, and they don't have to spend extra money on level storage and moderation and pretty much everything that comes with the Create mode. And honestly after LBP3 -personally breaking into my house and stealing my hopes and dreams for the future- blowing up on me and resetting my entire progress TWICE the faith I have in Sumo Digital to create something moderately stable with a scope as big as a mainline LBP game is just 0
Theres a sackboy running game on mobile that is filled with microtransanctions and battlepass and loot box. The bad part is you need internet to open said lootbox, need upgrades to your clothing to up your somewhat character power to compete every run. And not upgrading means no lootboxes, no rewards. And all of them is tied to your resources quickly wasting and not playing because of one upgrade on a clothing.
I want just a “LittleBigPlanet PS5” soft reboot kind of game. Just go back to 3 layers, maybe have sackbots and logic but not any crazy stuff. Keep it simple and people will create awesome stuff, it would better than having nothing. And do NOT go 3D, you’ll suffer the failure of Dreams: a way too complicated create mode that nobody can use.
Every day and night me and my brother play little big planet we played since we were 7 now we are 11 and 13 we still play little planet but only 3 on ps4 and little big planet adventures but we gave away our ps3 to our cousins now we can’t play anymore😢 but looking back makes me happy because don’t be sad it ended, be happy it happened 😊 but at least I have ps4 with little big planet adventures and little big 3
sackboy's nostalgia adventure is the ultimate cope to have as a LBP fan since has less LBP DNA than mario maker, and yeah, while the next logical step was making a fully 3D level creator, dreams did that and went way too far imo, is functional and fun but there are so much steps in between to make something good. This makes it harder for the community to pump good stuff and keep it alive, there are reasons why so many 3D games based on create your own stuff exists already and barely feel the same, because part of the LBP charm was doing creative stuff with limited assets, when you give the players a whole ass game engine you also open the doors to more chaos and less consistency across the community content. I do want more LBP and with such powerful consoles these days the potential would me amazing, but you really think sony, with that mentallity of "I wanna deep and complex story driven games" is interested in going back to games fun because games? they are sinking so hard so might as well they should try.
I couldn't have said it better myself. The magic of LittleBigPlanet was making your own creations with limited access, and when you figure out how to do something new in the game, it feels great. I think it is what makes it such a great game and what makes the approach to creating new levels and objects so exciting and engaging. It isn't hard to create things in LittleBigPlanet, but it feels so rewarding creating something good or something you are happy with. Pulling the franchise out of that and giving the player the same "here is everything right off the bat" game engine to build with-just as all the others do-would take the charm away from the game along with it. So, I think they shouldn't ditch the current creative aspect of the game. And this isn't a problem with everyone, but some people like to re-create old demos of the game, and completely changing its game-play would make that impossible to do; re-creating old demos absolutely requires the current aspect of the game in order to be made accurately. Trying to maintain the old physics yourself would just add loads of unneeded pressure and work. And if you think otherwise, just consider what I said in the first paragraph. A third thing, you know how all the main-line games have had backwards compatability with their community levels? Yes. Now, where would that be in a three-dimensional version of the game? No-where at all. Just another reason to throw into the truck of why it would be a bad idea to make LittleBigPlanet 4 the same as Sackboy: a Big Adventure. Oh, and the PRIZES. What was another thing that made the approach to creating more fun? Right, you had to play levels in order to get new objects to play and create with! This is a huge factor of LittleBigPlanet! What would be the point of going out to collect prizes if you already can work with an entire game engine? Sure, you can maybe arrange something by making it so you have to play some of the story levels in order to get the materials and such you need, but why? In short, they shouldn't go down the path of Sackboy: a Big Adventure and keep it as a spin-off, because it grants too many problems in practice, sort of like trying to remove an English letter.
A remaster would amazing, if lbp returned and came to PC then I would be very happy. An actual lbp 4 would be the best thing but I doubt that will happen. Something that gives me hope is media molecule is working on a new game but that’s all they said. They announced that dreams will be losing official support this year sadly but since they are working on a new game I hope it’s something like lbp. Dreams was kind of fun but it was missing an important feature which was the multiplayer, they did say that they will work on adding but it was just a false premise. Sackboy’s big adventure has the charm and online multiplayer while dreams has the level creator. I have a feeling media molecule will try to make a new creative game with online but still getting a remaster of the previous games would be amazing and if it comes to PC then I would definitely buy and even gift it to my friends because I made some good memories in those games. Seeing a lbp in the 2020s would be interesting, I feel like back in the day online information was limited, streaming games was rare back then but now just about anyone can start up a twitch account and just play.
Honestly, id prefer if instead of a LBP4, they updates LPB3 and actually fix all its major bugs, as well as adding and improving its create mode content.
my whole childhood as 2000 kid was psp, little big planet and a little very funny game called patapon...that game was an absolute blast and tbh i would like to see it coming back more than little big planet.
Little big planet was a huge part of my childhood. It's such a gem, but it really sucks that it's not only not as present as it was before. But now, we may not even be able to do half of what we we're able to then, due to some the servers for LBP games being shut down. I'd really love to see LBP make a return to the mainstream, especially on PC. And being able to have a special collection of the older games would be awesome too. I'd love to get my LBP data/games on the pc and get to play it again. It's a shame companies don't listen to their audience more. Or put the effort into doing some stuff. Because imagine the improvements you could do. Imagine remasters of the games! It'd be awesome.
If it comes back LBP4 needs to be developed by MediaMolecule. Sumo Digital doesn’t do a bad job but I feel the charm and quirk the games used to have were mostly because of the minds at MediaMolecule who created something not just fun, but special.
3D makes complete sense, I don't see it being too hard to make, genuinely. LBPK was 3D, and it was very fun, and I *imagine* a general lbp being fun as 3D. It doesn't have to be a development software, it certainly doesn't have to be dreams. The create mode can be just as simple, staying as complex it POSSIBLY could be. The whole charm of create mode was being able to just make some really random object, and for your friends to steal it and thereon, so it felt like an ecosystem of someone's creations that you and your buds just could go on the moon and tinker with. While an amazing side of the game, the advanced tech of Create Mode was in all ways niche. They can have it be 3D, and still be just as simple. At least, that's my very sleepy thoughts on it.
Nope what made lbp so great is it’s 2.5 perspective with layers, making 3d would be the worst decision ever, especially since it kills off the casual fanbase who want a simple way to make levels, it surprises me that your saying 3d is a good idea even know dreams showed us that going 3d made their game fail, by going so complex and 3d it killed off the casual community and only developer level creators could make levels, hence why the game died off
@@ChickenJoe420 There are TONNSSS of games in 3d that allow you to create simply. It having less layers didn't make it any more simple... actually, it made it harder to create. Making anything that's 3D into - basically - 3 layers was hard. And people literally went out of their way to break the layer limit to create what they wanted. Dreams is simply incomparable. I literally said it *shouldn't* be Dreams. It's that to me, 3D could go in a different direction and still be LBP to me. I mean, you say 2.5 layers, but as I stated in my own comment, Karting was 3D. And LBP3, at the least, had 16 layers. The 2.5 has already been deviated from. Both of those games were fun. [Forgot: Sackboy, A Big Adventure, but I never played it and I don't think it has creative mode?]
Even if 4 never comes, they really gotta make a collection game with 1, 2, 3, and Vitas stories all in one. It'd be a wonderful send-off to the series and would allow so many people to access Vita who hadn't before (which in my opinion is the best storymode of the series) as long as they tweak the levels to get around the touch screen issue. Plus if they ever announced they were making it I would be ALL OVER the beta test since I wasn't selected to participate in 2 or 3s beta
While watching this, I remembered a random idea for a game: "LittleBigCommunity" which could be like a 4th entry, but its mainly based on the communities talent! And something like that might make some money, but I don't know.
Shocked to see Dreams not mentioned at all. It was the spiritual successor to LBP made by Media Molecule and features the exact 3D level creation you talked about. Its live service is apparently ending in a few months, so that does actually support the idea of their next big game coming soon, but I'm not sure if Media Molecule is still the company that has the rights to LBP anymore. Either way, I am curious about the next direction that the series will go, if any. Continuing with 3D platformers makes the most sense to me since Dreams hit the limit by essentially just giving players a 3D game engine, but it'd also be interesting if they just went back to their roots and had like 5 layers with simpler tools. LBP 2 was the best balance between restrictions and creative tools imo
If we can get just 1 more littlebigplanet game during this this year or even next year, the amount of people that "used" to play this game will have people pre-ordering the game like crazy, and the day it comes out it will break the internet, the amount of people that will rush to stores to buy this games to those who loved this franchise. I do not mind at wll if they reverted back to 3 layers if anything all my games that i created are 3 layers since 16 layers was a bit too complicated for me.
I wish they would have put LPB 1, 2 and 3 on Steam. The creative model and character creation was the best thing ever, I made great friends on that game
5:01 I've been wanting this to happen for years, specifically after I no longer had a PS3 to play the games on since it broke. Please, Sony, please make this happen. This would make my life way better, and I would do anything to play any of the games again. 🙏
I don't think littlebigplanet 4 will be happening anytime soon maybe we will get a massive mash-up of each game into one whole thing. (idk only time will tell)
In my own opinion right now, I think it would be great to have Little Big Planet 1, 2 and 3 hell Vita (and maybe psp..?) remastered into one brand new LBP Game. Like imagine seeing Vita's story with brand new graphics, and could you imagine if they some how bring back the old levels!? A collection into a new game would be a huge throw back of Nostalgia and many more hours of playtime than a LBP 4.
Since MM has given up on Dreams because the failure of it being monetized in anyway (Rip online multiplayer dream btw) I wonder if they will return to LBP. Idk what is in the future but I want LBP back, I still want them to make a remaster of 1 and 2, and or a new LBP where you can play all of the LBP stories, and have all community levels still in place, and the ones made on LBP 1 and 2 should make sure you can only use 3 layerd, because LBP3 broke a lot of community levels...
Feel like I’ve definitely played any of the lbps with some of the viewers or the guy posting this vid miss those days .clans .survivals.people having clan wars with their own mech each in a creative to determine clan war winner. Community was good but the levels made by the community and the story modes for 1-2 were nostalgic
I really REALLY Miss this game... I used to play it when I was 4-6 somewhere around that age until my parents got rid of the playstation... we got an Xbox I dont know why when playstation is obviously better.
I would personally want to see a (2D) reboot of LBP that ditches backwards compatibility in favour of taking full advantage of the PS5 hardware and streamlining the Tools Bag to remove clutter and combine samey items together.

As much as I liked Sackboy A Big Adventure, I missed the whole level creation back in LBP.

I still love how I literally grew up with LittleBigPlanet. The first game came out the same year I was born and it's an amazing coincidence that I loved the game itself.
Damn, I'm old as heck then... Played it when I was 9 years old.
When you realise that 2008 kids are 15 by now 😨
Really hoping we'll get steam releases one day.
WHY DID YOU MAKE ME WANT IT >:(
I love LBP3 and its so amazing and I love the fact that people aren't giving up on Lbp so quickly its me and my siblings fav game me and my siblings would scream if LBP4 came out it would be so much fun!
If they made a LBP collection for PC on Steam I'd play the HELL out of that (also make is multiplayer cross-platform or something)
I think dreams and tearaway are the spirtual successors of lbp but I would also like to see lbp4 one day
lbp is a really big part of my childhood it was just so fun playing and making friends, lbp is a game i will never forget

Best to not get my hopes up though, it'll probably be a completely new IP (or tearaway 2)
great video btw
The main character in tearway died in the end so there is definitely not gonna be a sequel
@@Cybersaurus5783 idk it could still be something that takes place in the tearaway universe
A collection of the four games would be epic. Bringing back online to the old game levels is by itself worth it
I think you gained MrErPlaysYT respect… im proud of ya mate
Proud of him to
There is a group of people that tried to bring little big planet to pc, with mouse functionality in build mode and in menus.
Not sure. 🤞🤞🤞
Hopefully they announce little big planet 4 during the rumored state of play
@Solitaire guess we'll see at the rumored playstation showcase
Maybe not
little big planet has always had the most amazing music for their levels…like, the MOST amazing.
sadly I was never here for LBP 1 & 2 but I am a LBP fan none the less.
Maybe sumo could do it . Plus i feel like people will be hyped for a new one
@@jouskehigaskita8835 they could but lbp 3 exists soo
tbh if they refined the mechanics a bit, i'd be fine with a Sackboy: A Big Adventure sequel.
Sackboy:A Big Adventure 2 is probably the next game honestly
unlikely with the first one selling so poorly. They know what people want
They should just port LBP 1, 2 and 3 to the PS5 in a bundle to celebrate 15 years of LBP
(I'm not sure how that'll work with online tbh)
There's a game in the works at the moment called Restitched and its amazing, please go check it out.
I would shell out so much money for that ultimate collection you were talking about. Especially on PC, I want to drag my friends into LBP.
There are also custom servers for LBP1,2,3 and Vita like Infinite, where people can still play Online on.
sadly no, they sold the LBP name and rights to Sumo Digital
@@bartekcalinski1221 as far as I know LittleBigPlanet is owned by Sony
Even if we don't get a LBP4 I would be pretty happy with a remastered trilogy all in one. JUST GIVE IT TO US SONY!!!
I either want a LPB4 or a remastered collection of the trilogy
I’ll take either one honestly
I’ll take both honestly
The fact that I'm playing little big planet 3 right now is surprising.
The compliation was supposed to be LittleBigPlanet Hub. That got cancelled. I wish they brought that back for modern and PC.
Yes! I don't care if there are no more new games, i geniuenlly just want lbp2 online back
LittleBigPlanet 4 should be a mashup of all the older games and should also be available on pc indeed
The amount of money I know I spent on the little big planet series as a kid, I NEED IT BACK
I want just a “LittleBigPlanet PS5” soft reboot kind of game.
On March 5th a LBP custom sever called Infinite was released that works on PSN and RPCN.
sackboy's nostalgia adventure is the ultimate cope to have as a LBP fan since has less LBP DNA than mario maker, and yeah, while the next logical step was making a fully 3D level creator, dreams did that and went way too far imo, is functional and fun but there are so much steps in between to make something good.
What I think they should do is make a Little Big Planet Collection. All three stories in one game.
Didn’t finish vid but My vision for 4 would be iconic as the others but cross play 🤯
Honestly, id prefer if instead of a LBP4, they updates LPB3 and actually fix all its major bugs, as well as adding and improving its create mode content.
a year later they gave up on the series because of hackers, of course
my whole childhood as 2000 kid was psp, little big planet and a little very funny game called patapon...that game was an absolute blast and tbh i would like to see it coming back more than little big planet.
I grew up on vita
Makes me cry to see it again
@@SoggycereaI again your listing games that aren’t nearly as popular or well liked by the lbp community than the 2.5d gamss
Aaah so many memories from this game... Friendships, creativity, anime costumes , roleplaying 😭
i honestly feel like sackboy a big adventure is a reboot idk, but i hope we do ever get a lbp 4
Glad they made it free for PlayStation plus, first time playing it, loving it definitely going to buy the next 👌
I'm so happy at this point that I managed not only to totally complete LBP1 and LBP2, buy transfer the whole stuff to LBP3
just a remaster/collection or any way to play the old games again, especially on pc would be a dream come true
While watching this, I remembered a random idea for a game: "LittleBigCommunity" which could be like a 4th entry, but its mainly based on the communities talent! And something like that might make some money, but I don't know.
5:07 LBP Karting: “am I a joke to you?”
The concept of free DLC broke me. I don't understand?!?! Free?!
if would be allowed a 3D creator mode, would be looking a lot like Dreams by Media Molecule
Fun fact: LBP Karting already has a 3D Create mode.
last month sackboy a big adventure was added to the ps+ extra catalogue which proves sony hasn't completely forgotten about the game
LETS GO MORE VIDEO OF LITTLEBIGPLANET
What about Little Big Planet Karting?
a lbp collection would be so amazing
LBPKarting was so good, I'm still relatively into it and play it on my PS3 all the time. so creative
loved lbp2 so much i kinda miss it ngl
A mix between LBP3 and Sackboy Adventure. An story with multiple characters and 2D and 3D editor maps
I don't think littlebigplanet 4 will be happening anytime soon
maybe we will get a massive mash-up of each game into one whole thing.
0:22 Sackboy Plushie
Since MM has given up on Dreams because the failure of it being monetized in anyway (Rip online multiplayer dream btw) I wonder if they will return to LBP. Idk what is in the future but I want LBP back, I still want them to make a remaster of 1 and 2, and or a new LBP where you can play all of the LBP stories, and have all community levels still in place, and the ones made on LBP 1 and 2 should make sure you can only use 3 layerd, because LBP3 broke a lot of community levels...
5:05 you forgot my boy lbp karting
Kind of recently media molecule was hiring for what seemed like to work on a little big planet 4
These games were my childhood
