Man Of Steel should have been a warning to everyone where the franchise was headed.
And to think, MoS ended up being the best DCEU film.
It was actually BvS for me, everything just felt like Watchmen vibes, he only has two good movies in hist entire movie career, (300) & (Watchmen)
What's wrong with Man Of Steel?
@@godinacape Richard Donner on making the 1978 Superman movie said “take the material seriously, not yourself”. Snyder did the opposite.
@@lordmclovin3694 well that's what Man of Steel is about. taking the character and situation and genre seriously.
Otis and Luthor pretty funny though, what do you say about that? Yet I can acknowledge because the movie was derived from the source material that hasn't treat the villain in a deeper way unlike the 80s onward.
The character exposition dump felt like the first meetup of a D&D campaign. 😂
Snyder sucks deep to the very core
The plot to this movie feels like it was conceived, fleshed out and finalised during the ten minute drive to the pitch meeting.
There was a plot?
I imagine the script meeting was half an hour of "Wouldn't it be SO COOL if THIS happened?!"
This movie gave me brain scars. Fun review guys.

Nah, every director has it's up and down. He got lots of his right. Just like any other director
Slow mo is used in this movie to torture the audience by extending its runtime

This movie is fun for 2 games : 1) Spot the ovious plagiarism : Star wars, Seven samourais / Magnificient 7 / A bug's life, Dune (with grain), Predator, Matrix, Warhammer 40K, I robot, Starship troopers, Mad max, Alien, LOTR, Ghost in the shell, Gladiators, Game of thrones, Titanic ... Also some book material like Metabaron, Geiger and maybe Black moon chronicles for the heat / fire swords. 2) Check main plot holes and incoherence : Endless list, even end of part 1 and start of part 2 are not the same for Noble ^^

I think that Zack Snyder would be more effective as a director of cinematography for a different writer/director.

I've given a lot of slack to Snyder over the years, more than I should've probably, but Rebel Moon is straight up indefensible. I couldn't make it through 30 mins of the first one. I think he's cooked.
Same. He has some great films under his belt but, shocker, they all involve collaborations with better writers.
Zack Snyder fans and Rob Liefeld fans probably hang out in the same circles. 😆

Zack purposely made these Rebel Moon movies so horrible to truly see who are the ones that truly love him no matter what. As much as BvS is a guilty pleasure of mine, I lost faith in Snyder after that

Since they’re on Netflix they can say whatever they want about how “successful” they are. Fodder for the Snyder simps to keep saying these movies do well when you have to search low and high for anyone who thinks they’re actually good.
The crappiest performance for me was cleopatra coleman. I know the bar is at the very bottom rung in this movie, but she clearly gave NO shits about her dialogue.
I watched part one and two back to back and literally shut off two after the flashback to back to back to back scene happened. I hate myself but not that much. This movie feels like a live action endless trailer to a videogame from 2008.
U guys should ask snyder for the snyder cut of this movie
