Simply an amazing adaptation. I hope season 2 gets more budget and the same director, because, even if he was a new director and had limited budged and resources, he delievered an incredible adaptation
Took the words right out my mouth, been saying this same exact thing all day. That and the sound director. They did an amazing job even if the overall budget wasn’t that high
It NEEDS the same director, sound and normal, and the same artists. If it had that and a bigger budget, oh man. We don't need another S2 of Shield Hero situation (I DID like that after the first few episodes but it wasn't even a shadow of S1).

Everything Cid did in that fight was a performance. Beatrix is only about as strong as the higher tiered Numbers like Lambda and Nu. Props to Alexia for being one of the people to go through the most bullshit but come out stronger and on top The therianthrope on the ship was Zeta, another member of Shadow Garden Cid was 13 when he fought the Mist Dragon, so it happened prior to the time skip at the beginning (As he's now 15)
yeah I was expecting the same. Like she supposedly "awakened on her own" + has been training + older so I was expecting her to be on par with epsilon atleast maybe not alpha or delta. im hoping we get to see atleast 1 comparison fight like one of the shadows has a rough fight vs a rounds opponent + 10 beads or something and then shadow comes in has some fun but ultimately claps them.

whoever the audio director is for this show deserves a damn round of applause, all the different uses of effects on voices and the soundtracks etc. are all amazing and unique!
The kid Cid Kageno actually said "yamero" mean stop... So, the moment Iris tells Shadow as if he is a coward and nowhere to run, he is actually pissed and really trying to nuke the whole city, but was stopped by his conscience, the child Cid... This is juz my assumption tho..
One thing that i like from the Anime, is that the anime drew out Iris's character shift way better than the LN does, Her inherent pride and the humiliation at the hands of Shadow fused and evolved to an ugly obsession. Btw that sherry scene was actually an original scene, that scene wasn't in the LN
You can see Lambda cut Rose’ hair at the end of the episode, thus explaining why she appears in episode 1 with shorter hair while 664 and 665 in the background
Shadow did actually use his I Am Atomic, but it's an improved version that comes out as a slash. He used it to separate the clouds which is how it became clear all of a sudden.
The blonde cat girl on the ship was Zeta. Not much is known but she holds a spy/scout like position and she has a rivalry with Delta, being weaker than Delta but faster so she can always run away. They can't defeat each other.
S2 is rumored to start airing later this year with 12 episodes Edit: also theres a big announcement coming in February 22 which will most likely give us the release date

The line said to Beatrix is interesting. "You are almost as good as us" Referring to the 7 Shades and Cid. She got to the level were he considers her almost at their level just by her own merit in this world while the Shades are there from the training received from Cid. Imagine if we end up getting multiple season and she somehow manages to reunite with Alpha and joins Shadow Garden and train with them and learn. She could be a powerhouse.
When Shadow was setting up that Atomic barrier, i was at the edge of my seat thinking he cant be serious…he was threatening citywide genocide and i dunno if i can be behind that decision until he stopped himself… We all know Cid is a bonafide psycho but i thought he had this twisted code of justice from the shadows but now i don’t know anymore and im really worried about the guy…😅 overall it was a really wild ride… Also i am really curious wanting to know Rose’s story in Shadow Garden going forward…i really hope we get season 2 with same production value..

@@MangaZones Yeah, i did realise later that he was just flexing to Iris and Beatrix to prove his point…he does have his own twisted code of justice…I might pick up the LN cause i really wanted to know exactly what is going on in Cid’s head…if he was aware of the potential collateral damage/deaths he could cause with his powers and decisions… Plus I’m really invested to want to know more of Rose’s story starting as a new recruit in Shadow Garden… And Iris also looked abit out of sorts and not all there after the final fight…I’m also worried about her and how far or extreme she could go to get to Shadow…Beatrix did gave her good advise tho, there are entities out there that mere mortals cant beat by themselves…

Idk but maybe I’m onto something: When shadow said “i am” And the kid probably said “atomic” But what if shadow really was planning on destroying the city or maybe even the country and his past self said “yamero” (stop)? Because when you say atomic your mouth doesn’t move like that, but yamero adds up.
Anime lip sync is actually shit. Lol... They mostly don't follow the prescribed pattern for animating lip sync, they just do two simple variations of open and close, so you can't really base it off that.
Iris got taken multiple times from her high horse now; she even sank so low to use an artifact in the end. Auntie Beatrix had some real fun and accepted defeat like a champ. Curious if he evr will tell her about Alpha or Alpha about her. But man, that stomp was kind of intense too, likewise the transition into his atomic mode. Also, when you realize the crowbars are being a reference to his past life... The author sure did care to maintain Cid's backstory... Hopefully there will be a second season and eventually some more after that.

That wrapper Beatrix had folded into a crane was the Tuna/burger Cid gave her, which confuses me, because I don't remember her feeling anything other than potential in him. The catgirlon the boat with Skel(why?!?) was Zeta, whom we've seen in shots where she was exploring, in a jungle, in the snow with a tent, etc. She hasn't had many scenes.
@@norwa3518 No, Beatrix has a bit of a fascination with Cid because she's intelligent and skilled enough to somewhat be able to see past his act. She thinks he has the potential to be as strong or even stronger than her and that interests her as she's a bit of a battle junkie and loves a challenge. Basically, meeting him is the only good thing that happened during her trip to the capital. She is also a huge fan of Tuna King though lol.
Now I'm wondering if Cid will ever tell Rose who he really is since I'm assuming she'll never go back to the normal life again now she's in Shadow Garden, all in all an amazing first season and I can't wait to see more of (Lambda) the crew in the next season! :P
Also this episode explained much of Shadowconomics: Shadow-sama will wreck havoc thus creating a demand, then Mitsuboshi moves in to take that demand with superior ways and means. In the end there will be hyperinflation buy Mitsukoshi by then will be taking a root too deep so everyone will have to bail them out. Total economic dominance

This anime tho. It started as an anime that was recognized to be that one cringe anime in the community with a 7 score. Now, 20 episode, 1 season done. The anime literally turn into a huge success and now it has 8.3 score. Do note that it's not common for an isekai-reincarnation anime have this much score. Definitely up there in my favorite, everything in this anime are just so damn entertaining, especially that unexpected sound effect in Cid's voice over
OH!!! Anriku, you said something awesome, accidentally!!! At the end, you remarked on Cid's words referring to season 2 stuff, and then your video cuts to Cid saying that he do that"...next time." For those of us reading far into shite in animes we love, I have to hope Cid's line about "next time" directly hinting at next season. I don't think the atomic was a fake btw. Just aimed upwards. The weather went from clouds + rain, to suddenly sunny and cloudless, he blasted the sky.

The catgirlon the boat with Skel(why?!?) was Zeta, whom we've seen in shots where she was exploring, in a jungle, in the snow with a tent, etc. She hasn't had many scenes.

@@norwa3518 No, Beatrix has a bit of a fascination with Cid because she's intelligent and skilled enough to somewhat be able to see past his act. She thinks he has the potential to be as strong or even stronger than her and that interests her as she's a bit of a battle junkie and loves a challenge. Basically, meeting him is the only good thing that happened during her trip to the capital. She is also a huge fan of Tuna King though lol.

This anime tho. It started as an anime that was recognized to be that one cringe anime in the community with a 7 score.
Now, 20 episode, 1 season done. The anime literally turn into a huge success and now it has 8.3 score. Do note that it's not common for an isekai-reincarnation anime have this much score. Definitely up there in my favorite, everything in this anime are just so damn entertaining, especially that unexpected sound effect in Cid's voice over
