My only criticism to a lot of CCs right now is saying the spinning move is Kafka thing. That is such an iconic move for dual pistol users for ages now. From games like DmC and Bayonetta who are so old, probably other games I haven’t played did it as well. Even OW and League used this move before Kafka... It’s a very popular thing to expect a dual pistol users to do this.
I mean, I did mention that I've seen it in other games too. The thing for me though wasn't just the spin itself, but the camera movement during the spin. But yeah, there's also a recency bias for me because I've played HSR more recently than those other games- it's been years since I've played DmC or Bayonetta, and others have mentioned Reaper from Overwatch which I've never played.

When I saw that bit, and then I saw CC's say Kafka, it stunned me because it's like people didn't know of other games or references. The last shot has the first grave marker with the locket laid on it. The first scene is also rainy / dark, and after she avenges her family member it’s sunny / bright.

The EN audio has been improving a lot since the early days. In some of Changli's cutscenes, you could literally hear the voice recording just starting when they spoke, it was amateur hour that made me switch to JP, but now....oof..

I like how her fighting style in the trailer is translated in game. Genshins trailers always have them doing stuff but when you get in game it's like wet noodles. If you're going to show someone jumping up and shooting a some dude several times in the face midair it really helps if you can do that in game... because that kicks ass.

They make plenty of mistakes, the difference is they acknowledge them, proceed to fix them and most importantly learn from them. To never admit fault is akin to lying as nothing is perfect and to believe you are is self-deception of the highest order.
What I love about this trailer is how the character feels more substantial, unlike other 3D game characters whose movements or actions often feel hollow because of how quickly and effortlessly they execute them. Here, Carlotta’s model truly looks solid and weighty. Her actions feel substantial, smooth, and not overdone.
Nnnnnnaaaaahhhhh they struggle making weighty animation too, or it feels to me that way Backflipping 5 meters into the air off one hand like that is a bit much imo ahhah But still, very good trailer, lots of cool shots and there were moments that carried impact like the first shot she made

@ I mean no, gravity is the same, resonators just have better physical capabilities than normal people on average So it's not a stretch for them to jump so high but like, the speed and strength could be conveyed better I think There are shots that they did like extremely well, the part where she falls onto a car is absolute perfection Imo

I honestly love what hoyoverse specifically HSR and ZZZ side and Kuro games have being doing with trailers as of late it showcases characters combat mechanics without focusing on it and rather forcus on developing their personality.
Whenever I see a gun firing while spinning I'm always reminded of that hallway scene in Equilibrium after the detector goes flat line. But this trailer was peak. Probably this and the HSR Black Swan/Acheron Tango are on the top for me in terms of really well done cinema.
This looked like something out of godfather. And shes might the most ruthless playable character so fair yes even worse than Camellya. Camelya only is agressive while testing possible candidates for bloom bearers or seeds as she call them. Carlotta intimidates, threathen and outright murder people if their on her and her family bad side i mean that plaza would look quite gruesome after what she did if this game was 18+... Quite the contrast of her initial rich lady appearance.
The very first A-Rank Lee (launch character) from PGR already had the same spinning bullet hell ult, years before Kafka was even created. Kuro just refines their own designs. Carlotta is basically Lee Hyperreal (the newest & best version of Lee). On that note, I hope they will bring Lamia into WuWa :3 They can go ahead, and just copy-paste her :D

This made me want to change JP VA to EN VA just in Rinascita since it perfectly fits the European region theme, plus I'm a huge fan of European Accents!
Something I didn't notice before, it looks like Carlotta's father was holding an umbrella, for whom I assume is her grandfather? Or at least I'm assuming the brown haired guy representing the Montelli's interests in front of Reverent Primus is her dad.
The JP VA is Ueda Kana and she's one of my favorite VAs of all time, I'm coming back to the game just because of her, the design is great as well. And yeah shes the opposite of Rin, she reminds me more of Luvia from fate, Rins rival, shes from a noble bloodline, very hime and fights with Jewels (Just like Carlotta uses them on her weapons apparently).
I love this trailer it showcases Carlotta’s control of the situation and confidence on her abilities while also expressing her motivations and personality. But there are some gripes I have with the Animation itself that is cause in certain scenes it feels a bit too unnatural like the flip scene near the end and during the initial fight felt like she was gliding as opposed to doing acrobatics that is cause it felt like the distance traveled from the flip should have been shorter and the same goes for the air time also whenever she flips the distance traveled sometimes feel like it was too short or sometimes too long. Time stamps to what I am referring to 3:03 and 4:07. Last thing which is a very minor nitpick and most people won’t notice at 4:11 when she does her spin attack some bullets appear before she has even shot the gun. But aside from that I love the trailer 7/10. Edit: Deducted 2 points for the flips and 1 point cause no blood
I have the same reaction with Shorekeeper's cutscenes, a short film or OVA would definitely be appreciated. The battle scenes and spinning part reminded me first of Roberta from Black Lagoon. The foot soldiers and TDs reminds me of the Axe Gang from Kung Fu Hustle XD It also seem she has nothing underneath her bodice XD
I agree with the idea of having per character toggles for VA language, maybe just for voicelines during gameplay though bc it’ll be weird hearing characters speaking with each other in different languages in cutscenes. I’ve played all of huanglong so far in Chinese for various reasons including that the region is based on China. With Carlotta’s VA being so good and Rinascita being based on a western country I’m definitely considering switching to en in 2.0
that was actually amazing! wayyyy better than hoyo intros. sparkle is one of my favorites from hoyo but this beats it and i dont even play wuwa... maybe i should jump back in... its sure been awhile... 1.0 was quite a bit ago all things considering.

I agree with the idea of having per character toggles for VA language, maybe just for voicelines during gameplay though bc it’ll be weird hearing characters speaking with each other in different languages in cutscenes. I’ve played all of huanglong so far in Chinese for various reasons including that the region is based on China. With Carlotta’s VA being so good and Rinascita being based on a western country I’m definitely considering switching to en in 2.0
