Thanks for your service - you have no idea how much it means to a family who have lost a baby - who came to the hospital with nothing to put their baby in, to receive something which had been made with so much love and care. I still have the hat given to my daughter when she was born at 26 weeks. Everyone who knits or crochets for the NICU or similar are really unsung heroes.
Thank you so much Jess. The hat turned out perfectly. My son and his wife just had a preemie on July 21, she weighed 1ound 3oz. She is doing so good. So now I'm going to make a bunch of hats for the NICU. They are truly wonderful nurses there. So thank you.
Thank you for your tutorial. It was really easy to follow of all patterns I've looked at. I'm also making crochet hats in all sizes for donations to my local hospital. I wish someone had done this for me when I lost my two sons at 25 and 26 weeks gestation. Keep up the Great work!!!
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm terrible with patterns and I made this for my aunt who's been struggling for years with fertility and just had an emergency induction for her baby girl at 25 weeks pregnant. The baby is only 15 oz, we're all praying she pulls through. You're doing a great thing!
Thank u so much for this video!!! I've tried many patterns and yours is by far the one with the best end result!! My daughter was stillborn last July and I am crocheting these to give to my local hospital on behalf of my friend's charity. She too lost her son to stillbirth last year and has set up a charity in memory of him. Xx
Absolutely Loved watching your video. I love making hats and crocheting in general. Because of your chain three seam I learned a lot by not counting them are the stitch. It feels in the gap. Thank You and have a beautiful day and crochet. 💕👑😁
I am the Founder of A Child's Heart Ministry in Oregon. We are making hats for early to normal newborns for 3 local Hospitals. Thank you for your Service too.
Very easy pattern and helped me learn how to improve the join/seam as I am learning to make preemie hats to donate. My preemie (2 lbs 3 oz.) just turned 18 and so I have a little free time now.
Hi, how are you? I just wanted to say thanks for this great video. I have a preemie in neo natal and when she was delivered I had nothing for her as she was so early and honestly the stuff donated by people really does make a difference. When we managed to get the tiny size clothing it was still massive. I managed to knit her a beanie and I came across your video it is definitely the best one!!! So easy and clear to follow . Do you or anyone have any of preemie cardigans? I will hopefully be making hats to donate at the hospital they are much appreciated. Xx
Jess Handmade Designs Iambus getting started crocheting. For preemies the measures are so small I wanted to watch someone. else make one. Thank You you made it look so easy.
Nice job. Will be making them from leftover yarns I made chemo caps from. I know the hospitals will appreciate getting them. Thank you for this great video.
Jess Handmade Designs yes I would like to make these hats please give me the address so I can send these to you thank you very much prayers to you Carol Sasser here is my email address thank you God bless you
Hi, I’m new to crocheting and you present very well however this (for me) could be SO much more helpful if you could give the stitch count so a new beginner crocheter would now if they’ve added or dropped a stitch by the end of a round. I would love to hear back.
Thanks so much! To be honest I use to stress myself out with making sure I had the right stitch count when I was a newbie crocheter. I still consider myself a newbie crocheter in 2013....I only was crocheting at the very end of 2009. Hence on why I didn't have a stitch count. I apologize. But, I do have a pattern available in the description box. If you want you can use a stitch marker in the beginning of the round so you can write next to the pattern how many stitches are total for each round before you start a new row. If you still need any help please let me know and when I get the chance I will be able to add the total count for each row. Happy crocheting 🥰
I love this pattern. I have been making preemie projects for our local hospital for some time now, and will be sure to send them a few of these in this creative design. Believe in Jesus as your Savior and you will be saved. 💖
Hi Jess I make premie beanies for a local charity group here in Australia, & I'm just wondering what size hook you used. I've never made them this small, & I would love to try. If you could let me know I would really appreciate it. Thanks ☺
Thanks so much! I replied earlier but it was on my little one account lol. You can reach me on Facebook. The link is in the description box. God Blessed you!
