A guy in the company I work for was fired for the use of his cell-phone while working--after being warned 3 times about it. Here's this scumbag wearing an uniform, with a history of abusing citizens he's supposed to "serve & protect," still has that job. I'm sure his superior has knowledge of this scumbag's behavior. That tells you something about the chief himself.

This recorded evil should require a more detailed investigation of the actual incident that resulted in this woman's death. An outside agency should be called in to determine if there was any intent involved in this reported "accident". Or is it actually a case of vehicular homicide by cop?
Yes, he was speeding while heading to a level 1 call, like 75 mph. He did have his siren on but instead of arriving to help someone who ODed, he killed someone. His attitude was nothing like this jerk laughing, he did do CPR, after slamming into her and tossing her a long distance. Too little, too late

The ridiculous thing is the fact that the cop that killed her was arrested right after he killed the girl. Cops should be held to a higher standard, not just get a free pass when they do something wrong. If this had been someone without a badge, there would have been a whole list of charges.

Seattle police department is shit. The SPD had so many shootings and violent encounters the Justice Department opened a private investigation into them around 2009. Turns out they have/had one of the highest violent encounter rates in the country. Particularly towards pedestrian encounters. Their conclusion was our entire police force was rotten to the core with no oversight or proper leadership, which enables bad policing.

This cop has a bad history, but why did the chief of police allowed him to remain employed that long. He laughed about the student's death and it shows he does not care for killing the student.
Petition a qualified immunity to be permanently removed. Once that passed as a law. Any department can’t keep bad apples active.
