I got my brain MRI yesterday!!! Thank you with all my heart for your support about my last video! Please show respect to Amber and Johnny in public discourse, as at the end of the day, even with evidence presented in trial swaying opinion... none of us were present. It's ok to identify with one or the other as they may remind you of your own experiences as survivors (same for me), and everyone is allowed to have an opinion and should be allowed to express it! Let's try to keep it to the trial, and not engage in any name calling Download the Fetch Rewards app now → fetch.thld.co/swoop_0622 and use the code SWOOP to get 3000 points on your first receipt!

Her nurse reports on taking AH to lunch so she could practice talking to lesser people!! AH does ‘very well’ on that occasion. He learnt that it’s ‘bad’ to shout, scream &/or get violent when a ‘dumb waiter’ gets it wrong! 😳 AH managed to “self-sooth”, calmly (& probably incredibly condescending!!) explained to the little people what she (demanded) “requested” & everything was good…
I surprised that people haven’t made a bigger deal of that statement. It’s not NORMAL to even think of most humans as ‘less than’, let alone need a full time nurse to train you NOT to ‘loose-it’ when restaurant staff don’t get everything EXACTLY to your liking!!

No one ever believed me as a kid because no one thinks someone could be that detached from reality, or that a woman is the primary abuser in the home. This trial happened shortly after I separated from my wife who has a cluster b personality disorder. I didn't know that and didn't know what it meant before. I had no idea someone can lie so blatantly and thoroughly. She lies and manipulates like she breathes. If you're not close, they appear completely normal. They are so adamant to blame their victims for what they are doing constantly, so it's impossible to tell who "the problem" is. If they're under a microscope, they crumble, but otherwise you'd never believe someone could lie straight to your face daily with zero remorse, concern, or consideration. It's like dealing with a humanoid robot that is programmed only to manipulate others for their own benefit no matter the cost. Once you've seen it you recognize the tactics. They are all carbon copies of one another who do and say the same thing, use the same tactics. It's unmistakable.

The audio tapes are out online in full, I've listened to ALL of them, in full, the full context only makes her look WORSE, the shorter clips actually make her out to be LESS awful because they leave doubt as to whether or not there IS missing context, when you hear them in full it is clear there ISNT missing context so she loses that benefit of contextual doubt. So I find it funny that she's trying to make out like if you listen to them in full you'd see she's not the aggressor or she wasnt in the wrong, when that's not what you hear at all, you hear her berate and push and push and push Johnny for HOURS until ANY sane person would snap and at LEAST say something awful back, which is all Johnny ever does in them. The tapes were never edited in Johnnie's benefit, the only one who benefits from them being edited and clipped down is HER!

Phones were not permitted during the trial and we were told not to disclose anything from that case to anyone. Not even family. For Amber to say that the jurors went online looking for information after she tried to lead the jury to do that during the trial. Urgh!!! The arrogance of this woman!

The thing about victims not having enough photos....that wasn't Amber's issue here. She actually had TOO many photos imo that utterly contradicted her testimony, because I was watching the trial thinking, "You really can't be THIS stupid to show a photo of a bruise on your arm w/ no injury to your face to support your claim that he punched you repeatedly in the face to the point that you blacked out." Sadly, Amber WAS that stupid lol, hence why so many people found it easy to see she lied about everything.

AND AND the photos from december 15th incident, HER INJURIES SUPPORT JOHNNY'S TESTIMONY NOT HERS!!! he said she was hitting him and he grabbed her arms and pulled her into a bear hug to restrain her and their heads knocked. yup, that's what the photos look like! ughhh and then the freaking red carpet photos camille showed, the day after she claims she broke her nose and was beaten by a man wearing chunky rings. amber looks at the jury and tells them that all she had to do was ice her nose, "i've found there isn't as much swelling as you would think there is for an injury like that.." ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i can't

Amber saying that she still loves Johnny is something that I hear from many abusers that want to stay in the head of victims. By her continuing to say that, I'm sure gives Johnny chills because he probably heard those words after being beat up or verbally abused. It doesn't make sense for her to love him if he is using his power to continue and abuse her even after years of being divorce.

It can definitely happen in the first few days or weeks where we feel that we want to make the situation "normal" and fix it, and the painful memories get bumped back by the nice ones in some reflex to find that balance. The idea that I had a reason to love him in the first place and missing how that used to be, I have to fight myself to stop the fear and pain from getting buried under the laughs and hugs. I have to remember that there's no fixing it and that I have to stop believing in him and just move on.
If I was still feeling that years later after 2 trials, I would be very worried about what's wrong with my emotions. I can't even ask myself why I feel it now without starting to ugly cry. I don't know why she thought that could be slipped in like something off a checklist without considering how it sounds in context.

This woman’s shocked that a defamation trial is to question her character, her credibility, her truthfulness. She thinks this trial was a personal assault against her and that no one else being sued for defamation is being called a liar. You don’t sue someone for defamation because you think they are truthful with good character. You sue them to prove they are not credible, have bad character and are a liar.

It always makes me think of how another RUclipsr watching the trial said: what Amber was basically saying was "stop harassing me with the truth and let me torment my victim in peace!". Abusers never like getting called out on their behavior. Especially ones like AH. They're pretty good at image control and can keep the nastier sides behind closed doors. I imagine that she believes that she’s fighting for her life & career. Given her crippling anxiety & severe disorders, I think that she’s (OF COURSE) highly rehearsed in these interviews & her appearance in court…
What she did to JD was awful & intentional. She deserved to be punished for that.
As JD stated, it all started with “one little lie”. Everything that followed was because she refused to back-down. He said to her in one of the recordings, “If you do this I will be forced to defend myself & it will destroy you!”. In context that’s NOT a sinister threat…It’s a very kind warning!
      It’s exactly what’s happened… She did it…He defended himself…& she’s destroyed.

At the 23:35 mark, what was said and the deep pain & anger felt by Swoop was a mirror for me through this trial. Those of us who’ve been through DV/IPV/SA are not hurt by the trial. We were hurt by the false allegations and the constant lies that AH put out there. Using OUR pain and trauma as a weapon to use against your ex is disgusting.
I’ve also noticed that AH is very resentful about the IDEA of “having to donate the entire amount to be believed”, but no one that I know of told her that she had to claim that she was going to donate it to be believed. That was her decision to make that claim and to not follow through with it. Personally, I don’t think you deserve “credit” for making a donation that you are making for a terrible reason. On the Dutch show when she said she had donated it already, she paused and sighed like she was disgusted that she had to donate it and in this interview she speaks with complete resentment that she “had to” donate it, even when she hadn’t donated it. Even her attitude about donating to charity is awful!

All as she is turning her 'bruised' face to each camera for a shot. Definitely not how she described

From the beginning of the trial I’ve wondered why amber & her team took the stance of the op Ed not being about Johnny. Like if he abused you you have the right to call him out, so wouldn’t it have been so much more validating a stance to say yes I wrote it about him because he’s the monster who hurt me? I feel like the fact that she had to keep dodging that and being all vague about her intentions (not wanting to hurt him or his career? Please of course you would have) made her claims seem disingenuous from the getgo.

Absolutely agree with you! My guess is since she was being sued for defamation she tried distancing herself from the op-ed being about JD. If it's not about him it's not defamation. That's where she went wrong bc admitting it from the jump would've actually established some form of responsibility but she took none.

    • @Darth_Selendis
      @Darth_Selendis 2 года назад +13

If she could've gotten away with calling him out directly, she definitely would have because she would have loved trashing his name and reputation. The reason she didn't was most likely because she was advised to avoid it due to being sued for defamation. That's why JD sued the Sun in the UK trial first since they didn't bother to obfuscate who they were talking about, and many people believe defamation cases in the UK are easier to win.
Once she testified in that trial, it was pretty much guaranteed that the US trial could go forward because her testimony basically "legally" affirmed the op-ed was about JD.

Because Amber herself bombed several of the legal strategies that her team could have used. Because she is unable to accept responsibility for anything, including admitting the article was about him which would open her up for defamation charges (if she was lying), she is left with maintaning several contradicting narratives at the same time.
She is used to gaslightning and people believing her without looking further into matters (since this has worked for more than 6 years) so she expects others to agree with whatever narrative she is presenting at the current time even if it contradicts her previous statements about the same issue.

When Amber says "when you..", "your..", etc. it her symptom - depersonalization. It can occur when a person has a disorder; BPD and HPD included. She's an open book for a psychiatrist and she needs psychotherapy if she wants to change. It doesn't mean her actions can be forgiven but I don't like when having psychological issues is considered just "acting". It makes me very upset as a neurodivergent person.

There was a meeting that she asked for even though she had a restraining order against him. Her team and his jumped through hoops to allow this to happen even though it was highly unusual and his team was completely against it. But he did it for her even after everything she’s done to him. Maybe it was hope, that she would come to her senses. I remember the first thing she’s said to him was SIT! You SIT! The conversation ended up being her letting him know that they’re going to basically lie about a lot of shit that didn’t happen. This is the same woman who was deathly afraid of him, yes she after telling him she was going to ruin him, WANTED A HUG!!!! WTF?!

I think the reason she keeps saying “truth to power” is that it’s a slogan that some use to talk about men who seem to hold a lot of power. It makes it easier, in my experience, when I felt like speaking directly from my own point of view was too close for comfort. You were saying that it’s unusual for a survivor to say “you” instead of “I” but that’s not quite right because JD did it multiple times on the stand. I was watching the case on a livestream panel that included a psychologist who was saying that sometimes victims have to present their story from a distance so they don’t break down. Sometimes that’s achieved by telling their story as if their audience was going through it “you would have to do this” rather than “I had to”. I believe AH is doing this BECAUSE she heard JD doing it, she listened to a real victim to improve her performance of being a victim. Ironically she was paying such close attention to everting he said but I don’t believe she ever actually *heard* him (oh double irony Heard)

I totally understand what you’re saying. The first time I listened to one of Amber’s stories of abuse, I expected to break down, to get misty eyed, a lump in my throat… something. Instead I was sitting at my laptop not feeling… anything. I am one to burst into tears over a touching commercial, whenever someone tells me a sad story, I cry for them because I don’t want anyone to suffer pain. But I didn’t experience that with Amber and it was very jarring.
However, when Johnny took the stand, despite his halted speech, and careful word selection (heard he was diagnosed with ADHD) I had a lump in my throat and almost broke into sobs. Even though I knew Johnny was abused, I still expected to cry when Amber spoke as it had been that way with other stories.
