The actor who played Biff is known to be the nicest person in Hollywood. He was picked on in school when he was younger and channeled that to play Biff. Thanks for another great reaction!
Thomas F. Wilson, who is a great human being. It seems like a lot of actors who play villains in movies (Christopher Lee, Clancy Brown, etc.) are stellar people in real life.
His brother his the manager of a Wendy’s around my area and he looks just like him
Martin Kove from Karate Kid and Cobra Kai is another cruel villain who’s a super nice guy in real life,that does seem to happen a lot

Did you notice Marty and Doc Brown initially meet up at the Twin Pines Mall parking lot. But, after Marty goes back in time, hitting one of Old Man Peabody's trees before crashing into the barn, when Marty returns to 1985 and tries to warn Doc, he arrives at the Lone Pine Mall. This is one of the many reasons why I love this movie.

Billy Zane was one of the cronies of Bif. He is in the second movie as well, and I think he is always wearing a cowboy hat. 😂

I apologize if this is repeating someone else, but when George punches Biff out it gave him confidence. That confidence led to him actually trying to publish the stories he was writing. It also made Biff "subservient" to him. so that is why the "changes" were there when he came back.
My headcanon with Biff is that he changed jobs into the car detailing business because of what happened with his car in the 50s.
Maybe all aspiring young writers should get into fist fights.🤔
Yeah, I wasn’t smart enough to understand this back in the day when I was a kid, but I get it now.
I also love ccricer’s comment about car detailing, and how Biff got into that after his episode with the manure truck. That’s a deep pull there.
It also changed the dynamic with Lorraine where she didn't feel stuck in a marriage with a man she loved but didnt respect. She becomes an encouraging friendly mother instead of a bitter drunk who covers her own disappointment in her life by acting like she was a different person as a teen than she was (blatantly lying about her behavior as a kid, etc).
@@inarar5334I don’t think she really loved George. A woman can never truly love a man if she doesn’t respect him. I think she just felt obligated to stay with him for the sake of their kids. After all, she was from a generation where divorce was unacceptable.
Did you notice the first time in the parking lot, it said "two pine mall". When Marty came back it said "lone pine mall", because Marty ran the young tree over when he traveled back in time. He created qiute the alternate timeline with some nice twists you only spot after watching it several times 🙃

for something really weird, check out the time on the clock at the "lone pine mall" It says 1:16...if you flip that its 9/11....the name of the mall was going to be the twin towers mall i believe. There are many hints in the movies of the 80s and 90s of what was planned.

This remains one of the most enjoyable film trilogies ever made. Nothing can beat the first, but all three have their charms.

People always wonder if Marty's parents would recognize him, but there's no reason to think they would. They knew this kid for a week, 30 years ago.
I noticed that, too. I dont remember hardly ANYONE from 30 years ago in high school. We had an exchange student from Spain, i remember that. BUT....i wouldnt recognize him if i ever saw him again.

From Loraine's point of view, Marty is a guy she went on ONE date with.
From Georges point of view, Marty sucker punched his bully then ran away. Later, Marty made a plan to "save" Loraine, but he FLAKED on George and then...dropped out of school...never to be seen again. Marty is not even in the yearbook...no physical evidence he was ever there.
To George, Marty is an unreliable high school dropout who likes to fight and who knows that George is a creepy peeping tom.
Marty is only significant to the movie audience.

Loved your reaction to this movie. It was such a wild ride, and as many people will attest, it is just the entry to one of the greatest movie trilogies. However, WORD OF CAUTION: At the end of Back to the Future II, there is a trailer for Back to the Future III (since both were filmed back-to-back). If you want to avoid spoilers, you should stop playback when "To Be Concluded..." appears on screen.
There would be no Rick and Morty without Back to the Future, so brilliant for two reasons.

lol I love people who get too excited and keep asking questions that get answered two minutes later. :) It's so adorable to me! Marvin Berry, by the way, the lead singer of the band at the ball? He calls his cousin Chuck while Marty's playing Johnny Be Good. Chuck Berry made that song famous back then. Most people miss that the Twin Pines Mall becomes the Lone Pine Mall after Marty runs over the one little pine in the Peabody farm. And Pepsi Free was sugar-free Pepsi back in the day.
I loved every bit of that. The Ghostbusters dance break was amazing. Never apologize for breaking it down.

The band at the end during the dance was Marvin Berrys...who was Chuck Berrys brother, which is why he made the phone call during the song Johnny B Goode.....it was one of Chucks biggest hits ever, so as far as the movie goes thats what inspired Chuck to write his biggest hit. Many consider him to be the godfather of rock and roll....thanks Marty!

The Ghostbusters theme song was famously plagiarized from I Want a New Drug by Huey Lewis, who wrote a few songs on the soundtrack of and appeared in this movie.
That made me laugh 😂😂😂😂
Funny thing about the ending is that it was never meant to set up a sequel, it was just done as a joke to give the movie a "here we go again" type of ending. But the movie ended up being a huge mega hit the studio demanded sequel, leading to a "To be continued" stinger being added on the VHS release. It was later removed in subsequent home releases because Robert Zemeckis, the director, is all about preserving films as they were when they were first shown in theaters.
They have infamously said "if we really intended to make a sequel we wouldn't have put Jennifer in the car." And considering how quickly she gets sidelined in 2, that tracks.
I have a theory. We see Lorraine changing in front of the window and George peeping. Her dad says "ANOTHER one of these kids jumped in front of the car" implying that other boys were up there peeping. We also see that Lorraine is promiscuous and boy crazy. I think she knew they were peeping and purposely changed by the window. Maybe even charged them for it.

Loved the reaction as usual. This was so entertaining. The icing on the cake for me... you knowing about Billy Zane as The Phantom. That's one of my favorite pre-marvel superhero movies.
And, yes, Crispin Glover, who plays Marty's father, George McFly, is The Thin Man in the Charlie's Angels movies. Glover is so great in these roles because he's a Very quirky, eccentric person

He's in a movie with Joann Jet. Did live shows with her and everything. Sad he's going thru such a horrible illness. Seeing Lloyd and Fox still being good buds all these years just warms my heart. That's hilarious. I've seen this movie many times but I never noticed Billy Zane in it, and as the credits started rolling JL and I said "Billy Zane?!" at the exact same time.
This movie was the first movie I ever saw in the movie theater. My dad took me to go see it. I always enjoy watching people react to this and the other 2 movies in the trilogy. Glad you liked it!

I love this trilogy and J had an excellent reaction! I especially loved "Stop being a bitch, George" and "now curb stomp him...and teabag him!". I also loved how J was coming up with the conflict of the movie before they were presented. The movie leaves little seeds, like Doc commenting on the brother's hair missing in the photo before they realize Marty changed history and was erasing them out of existence. Excellent editing! God bless you guys with excellence, time to watch the other two.

This is my favorite movie of all time and i consider myself a film nerd. Perfect script. Even though the DeLorean would have vanished along with Marty since '55 Doc is not inventing the flux capacitor since meeting Marty. So many paradoxical moments. But its the best movie ever.

there is a company that still makes DeLoreans if I remember - out of surplus parts - plus you don't have to worry about rust or paint condition - LOL (may struggle to make it to 88mph though)
Look into the making of this film for a lot of really curious bits of information, like the fact that they filmed almost 90% of this film with ERIC STOLTZ as Marty McFly, before Stoltz was fired and replaced by MICHAEL J FOX, and all of that footage had to be scrapped and re-filmed.
BTTF parts 2 and 3 we're filmed simultaneously in 1989, and aren't as good as the original, but they're still fun and worth a look.
BILLY ZANE is one of Biff's sidekick's. When they first walk into the 1950s diner, Zane is on the right [ Biff's left ] in the white shirt and brown jacket, with dark brown hair. He's in several more scenes with Biff, but he has no lines of dialogue.
This was alot of fun. JL your reactions were so funny. Back about 25 years or so ago I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood and got to play Doc Brown in a recreation of the lightning striking the Clock Tower but that's a long story. I also went to the Town Square where the Tower is and an episode of Quantum Leap was filmed. JL if you think time travel was confusing in this move wait until you watch Back To The Future II.
DUDE! I did that, too! They gave me the wig and lab coat and i was Doc Brown ("Great Scott!") for the clock tower recreation. My parents have me on VHS, as a memory, at their house. I totally forgot i got picked for that until just now.
@@slchance8839 did you get to spin around. The thing malfuncted, or so they told me, and I don't get to spin. Unfortunately my wife at the time didn't video me. I wasn't happy for two reasons that day. There's more to the story but that would take too long to tell.
@@jameskirschling7887 There was no spinning around. I was dressed as Doc Brown on the clock tower edge and they just re-enacted the scene where he reconects the wires and dangles and there was wind and noise and basically, they used movie magic to make me Christopher Lloyd for about 15 seconds.

Your the first reactor I've seen that acknowledged that Biff was drinking and driving at the start as well as the fact that Loraine's dad has apparently hit multiple kids with his car.

Just recently was the reunion of "doc brown and Marty mcfly" after not really seeing each other in 40 years. You'll see how parkinsons has progressed
They have seen each other several times during these 40 years, there have been several reunions of the main actors.
I use to live right by the mall where they shot part of the movie. Rowland Heights. Also, last year, I was driving the 57 freeway near Anaheim, and saw a DeLorean decked out like it was one of the film used cars. Its was cool as hell to see

So many of us grew up with this trilogy. Doc and Marty actually just had a reunion! Hot tub time machine isn't a family movie, but a fun time travelling one that also stars Marty's dad lol

Back to the future is my 2nd favorite movie ever, Rocky is the first.
When you get around to watching the 2nd one be sure to stop it at the endings to be continued logo. It immediately goes into a trailer for part 3 since they filmed both sequels so close together so you'll be slightly spoiled by it.
So most of the world watches it, enjoyed it, then watched Part 3. But viewers keep telling reactors to not watch the "trailer"... what gives? what's good for the goose is good for the gander
I never understood why they did that. It’s not like it needed the extra advertising. It was a famous movie series. People were definitely gonna go see it. I really never got why they put it on the video version as well.

Doc Brown is Werner Von Braun. Hill Valley is a Lodge. The finale is the Greek gods overcoming Chronos/death/time; Doc is Zeus w/lighting, Marty is Hades w/Pluto(nium), and Poseidon is the EUTS dance. It's all elaborate ritual . . . Pretty cool, actually.
Oh, and yes: Time-travel is real.
if you didn't notice, one of biffs 'henchmen' is Billy Zane. he was in titanic, the phantom and a whole bunch of other things. and while cool looking the delorian was a giant piece of junk. because of the stainless steel body it was extremely heavy for what it was, coupled with an underpowered engine it burned gas like no other.

Imagine young doc seeing Marty disappear? He knows instantly that he will one day discover time travel, befriend a hs kid and have him meet you at the twin pines mall at 115 am so you can send him back in time in order to meet his younger self and encourage him to discover time travel.
