    that shuttle chart exercise is used by pro boxer vasyl lomachenko and i must say, it really shows in his game. Its almost like he sees punches already before his opponents throw them, his peripheral vision is probably so good that he can catch the subtle initiating movement needed to throw a punch while still maintaining 100% focus.

    As someone who has studied aim theory for some time, the "You wanna look at the target not your crosshair" it is entirely dependant on where they are. If they're too far away and you have to be percise it's better to look at the crosshair. In games where opponent is gonna be close you'd wanna focus on the target, so overall it just depends on where the enemy is.

    Started doing this training about a week and a half ago. My Schulte table went from around 45 seconds in my first few runs down to my new record of 15.53, and I average about 20, maybe 25 on a run where I just CANT FIND THAT ONE DAMN NUMBER. I've found something that really helps is focusing completely and totally on the middle number, and only solving it by using your peripheral. At the beginning, your eyes will natural start to wander every once in a while if you get frustrated, but the longer you do it, the less you need to move your eyes at all. I got 28 staring JUST at the middle number just now and felt really proud.

    • @Foahninny
      @Foahninny Год назад +2

      And don't be afraid to click based on instinct. A lot of the time, you are very close. For example, if you are looking for 11, you might end up clicking 21 without thinking about it because your peripheral vision recognized the 1.

    • @Foahninny
      @Foahninny Год назад +2

      Also, I've found that after doing that for about 15 minutes or so, doing the last few runs normally is a big ego boost.

    • @Foahninny
      @Foahninny Год назад +2

      Another thing, you want to keep your eyes as focused as possible. A lot of the time, your eyes will start unfocusing when you really concentrate to find something at the corner of your vision, but the overall goal is to be able to completely focus on the middle and still easily recognize targets in other spots. It's difficult but achievable. Won't just happen in one day.

    I unconsciously did this back when I was a kid playing console cod. I had a crt tv that I would sit really close too and cause I was so close I had to rely on peripheral vision to see anything else. Also a needed skill when sniping as your always looking for the next target to get that quad feed. I’m definitely gonna try some of these tips and I remember doing the noted stuff when he released his siege aim video, gotta respect that man for all the experimental stuff he does just to increase performance.

    Holy shit, nobody talks about this!
    One thing I'd like to say about the Schulte tables, official way of doing it is by staring at the center number and not moving your focus. This way you have to do everything from your sidevision and can't "cheat" by going over them 1 by 1. I used those to practice speedreading, so you don't have to go over every word as you can read the whole sentence using only 2 focuspoints.
    "Focus on the grid centre and find all the numbers (letters) with your peripheral vision, i.e. without moving your eyes." - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulte_table

    I found this video last night and went through the exercises today & had two immediate impacts. 1) The amount of information I was missing by opening up my peripheral field of view is crazy, thank you for this video!! 2) I feel like I'm getting an information overload, while in kovaaks I found myself seeing & focusing more on peripheral targets more than the target I was actually on although I was hitting the primary target just about every time (moving & non-moving). I'm not sure how I feel about this though. I'm about to play apex and see how it goes. I will incorporate this routine in my warmup and see how it goes moving forward.

      @@om33r ngl I totally forgot to come back to this lol. Update: so I have the exercises booked marked and would do the green/pink circle one maybe twice a week at most but I do the shuttle charts a lot. It is lowkey addicting, I do it while I’m working and have down time during day. After about a month I found a kovakks playlist that has a little bit of everything so I don’t have to keep switching playlists to work on different things. From my experience the first month it felt like I got worse bc in almost every gunfight I would be focused on a target but then catch something moving in my peripheral and naturally want to react causing me lose focus for a sec and die. It took some time to adjust but after phase ended it was a matter of getting comfortable with wider flicks and target switching. I will say how much it helps depends on the person though, some of my friends didn’t find it useful bc they already had good peripheral focus so I wouldn’t be surprised if ppl find it as as a waste of time. All in all i feel like it helps and I’ve done some crazy flicks that I wasn’t able to do before working on it.

    Bro this it legit. You can literally feel your eyes starting work better well I can. Before my eyes were skipping when doing the left to right exercise now it’s more of smooth transition. You never really think about training your. You just have always used them just see not to see better.

I was kinda ignorin that till now or just puttin in a little bit of it so I dont degenerate

    I go to this yt vid to practice this every day, tbh this helped a lot with my tracking, it went from 60% to 65%-70%

    I wouldn't say I practiced it purposely but I've noticed most of my flicks and aim training is done using peripheral vision, this helped me understand I should be training both ngl

    So the deal is that you look at the crosshair but "feel" the surroundings?

    2:08 i found was better if you move your eyes a very subtle amount so that the crosshair is fully visible while also breaking the illusion
