Grazer without question has been the most dominant bear not only in the riffles but on the lip. She is tolerant of other sows and cubs but the big boars fear her even though she is half their weight. She is an enigma among bears. She catches more fish than most all other bears. Her cubs are more protected and fatter. She and her cubs have been the superstars this year at Brooks River. Videos of her this year and her exploits are the stuff of legend. Grazer forever!
Her behavior will work right up until it doesn't and then it will get her killed! If you constantly pick fights with the big boys eventually one of them is going to truly fight back and she is going to lose!!!

Around 17:36 Grazer stole the fish from the cub of 806. That's one reason she was being so tolerant...
This was a fantastic broadcast with wonderful insitefuil info. I had watched Grazer for a week or so now. I didnt know her name now I can follow her. She is a wonderful bear to watch. On a different note I worry about Chunks wound

Grazer took the fish off 806, when the other bear went to the rock, where 806 and the cubs were eating.

There are so many more subadults running around this year, to me. I started watching last year, and didn't notice them. Is it because the river is high, or another reason? Thanks!!

Holly is a better momma bear than Grazer to me. Grazer was injured last season with her “defensiveness” last season. Holly always puts her cub’s needs first. 503 would not be here today if he had approached Grazer when he was abandoned as a yearling.

I do not think what you said is fair. They are just bear. They do things by instinct. You do not know everything that happens in their life and to say it like that is so judgmental.
@@keystring-It was just my personal opinion and preference of parenting styles. The older sows are equally protective without been overly defensive. I think that helps 410 live to 30.
@@violetg7315 Expression opinion and being judgmental is so similar yet so different, people always anthropomorphise bears. Do you know what happens outside cam? I bet you don't and quick to judge who's better is no brainer to me.

She has been around with her cub. People seem to call her cub 'Jolly' or 'Jlo."
