The lower river cam has had 909 and cub occasionally and a shy, very vocal bird nearby that refuses to reveal itself to the camera. 🤓 There must be a nest nearby... Thanks Naomi and Mike.

812 is a beauty
503 is Mike Fitz favorite bear. It must have broke his heart to not be able to help him when treed. Luckily, Mike let nature take its course & it worked out well for the bear. If they didnt follow protocol, 503 would be cooped up in a zoo somewhere. Kudos Mike! Hope 503 lives a long, interesting life.

Thank you, Mike and Naomi - was good to hear Naomi's comments on the dominant females' behaviors this year. Do you think it might be possible to have a Fat Bear King and Queen (since the sows don't get as big as the boars)?
Or maybe a separate category for plump sows w/cubs, since some of them combined could weigh even more than 747?

Oh man that swimming bear just missed a bunch of salmon
With all the fish smell from spawning salmon, dead fish and scraps of fish spread around the Brooks River I'm surprised all bears within 25 miles aren't lured in to get a piece of the action.

They are amazing!! But why someone droped a blue mask down the platform (49:21 min), just where 909 and baby walked by. These dirty and horrible blue masks (human muzzle) are ruining everything! Unbelievable to see one at the falls grounds :(
