- Spring is here and so is the chase for big northern pike! This is the first video from the new boat, a rundown on the new setup will be available in a separate video.
In this video I am fishing with @LauBoomFishing on the shallows, fishing with jerkbaits and even doing some trolling with big swimbaits. We hope to catch both numbers and big fish... and man o man we found a true monster!

Bait casting elite...that was an interesting male pike...often wonder how big they get...
Awesome vid Sean, great team to make awesome content together!
Congrats on the big pike Lau. And what a vid Sean. Chapeau for the both of you🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video!
Prachtige vis(sen) hoor, Lau gefeliciteerd man!
What a unit!! 😍 Beautiful video guys!
Wat een monster zeg Lau! 😱En je nieuwe boot is echt heel vet geworden Sean! 💪💪
Wat een vis man 123cm!!!
Als je zo vis vangt lijkt elke snoek onder de 123 klein Lau en het grote kunstaas helpt dan ook nog niet mee!😉
Leuke video weer!
Love the content! What rod & reel combo are you using, sean? What are the pros and cons with it?
I used the Scout Swimbait rod in this video: 140gr, more than enough for jerkbaits. The rod is a bit shorter than the longer SG6 from Savage that I use these days. It’s personal preference and still longer than traditional jerkbait rods. More length is more control and longer casts… and nicer to fight the fish. I like this one in particular because it’s stiff enough to set the hook and easily get the motion you want in jerkbaits, but still has good casting qualities and it looks slick in all black
What a fish 😍 Perfect day out there buddy 👊🏼❤️
Holy shit maat, echt n dikke mama. Welverdiend🤘
hahaha Lau is the greatest
Absurd! Dikke video 🔥
Great looking new boat! What are you using to clean the foam deck?
Just water and a smooth brush does the trick! 😎
lekker Lau!!!
Hello can you help me ? Which sunglasses does the other person wear? Thanks for the help
Leech Pacific Suncover, unfortunately an old model and hard to find 😬
@@LauBoomFishinghello, I have a leech cover. Unfortunately the glasses don't close well on the left and right and sunlight from behind is reflected on the inside of the lenses. Thanks for the help

Ive used spoons, spinners, top water frogs and have only caught pike up to 20-23 inch pike....
How do I catch a monster? Bigger baits?
Something like 15-20cm will definitely do!
Those Zilla Gliders aren't my cup of tea. They are the jerks I struggle the most with, often turning at the same direction instead shifting. Maybe I should try the scout Jerkbait as their swimmer is a great bait.
Nice 👌
Lau de eindbaas
We catch Pike like that in Montana all the time
You probably have big lakes and low fishing pressure and big natural area’s, we have tiny lakes compared to usa and high fishing pressure lots of people and less natural area’s. Making the catch of such big fish someting to celebrate, fish of lifetime.

@@ConnieCaldwell-eu2ypok good, any tactics you prefer?
@@ConnieCaldwell-eu2ypdon't lie man, a US pike over 47 inches is very uncommon
