On the download page in the description, near the top of the page, there's a white bar labeled "Builds" with "Daily" and "Experimental" and such, click on experimental and scroll down to the Cycles X build
theres a million ways to get the dark theme, I cant remember which one I used but a google search will give you tons of options, the taskbar is TranslucentTB from the windows store, then I just unlocked my task bar by right clicking it and dragging the icons to the center and removing cortana and any toolbars I didnt like
Volumes, bevel shader, multi-device support are still all on the "to do" list. Shadow catcher was also missing, but arrived possibly on 7 May. And tiled based render has gone. If you want a real comparison, set cycles classic to progressive.
@@PolygonIsland In 2.93 and earlier, in the render settings tab in the performance section there's a checkbox for progressive rendering, which renders in the same manner as cycles-x (but you will almost certainly find it slower).
no dont put normal cycles on progressive refine that wont be a fair speed comparison you should optimise the tile size to the fastest you can possible render with normal cycles for a fair comparison

Volumes doesn't work yet with Cycles X... it's apart of the limited functionalities at this time.
Ohh thank you! I didn't know if I was just doing something wrong or if it wasn't supported yet
Thanks for this video! Just wondering, how did you get that theme for windows? love the dark mode and the centered icons on the bottom!

Crazy to know but optix selected in the preferences even works on a gtx card. And should make your render faster.
