That's because it is B.S. Citizens have been sticking up ever since Biden was illegitimately installed. I go out every month and restock on ammo to replace what I used and extra to add to my stock pile. I have yet to see any of the gun shops ammo shelves sparsely stocked. I am seeing only fully stocked shelves and I check the shelves any time I am at a gun shop or a outdoors goods store. But I only buy from a couple places. But then I also make my own ammo so I buy the supplies I need for that along with some boxes of shells as well. If ammo becomes short, I have a lot of supplies to make any of the shells I usually need.
But I don't see any signs of a shortage at any of the places I frequent regularly.
Relax, everyone has been stocking up and the huge buys in the beginning when Biden Cheated, are long past but the stores selling ammo and guns are sitting in a whole lot of ammo and most likely are slipping in some fear & panic to start up a run in sticking up again, but most people have plenty stocked up and only buy what they use up at the ranges and hunting. We won't need to buy large volumes any time soon. Of course you could do what I did back in 2020. I learned how to make my own ammo, and what presses and supplies I needed to be able to make my own ammo in all various kinds of ammo I would need for the various guns)rifles I own. Including Shit Gun loads. Need a different setup to make shotgun shells. It's expensive to begin, but the cost for self made ammo is way cheaper per shell than you can get from any store if premade ammo.
Best to get taught on how to make your own ammo before you start buying the equipment, tools, stick to make your own shells. That gives you time to talk to others and research the various machines and tools to buy. Depending on where you live, you may have to travel a ways to find some place to get your training. Of course I already got trained on making guns, barrels ECT.... I have a few rifles and one shotgun I made myself. I kind of enjoy making my own m, I have never regretted any of the training. I have the barrels made for me with the specifications I give them.
Of course it is quicker to pick up a few boxes of shells than to make your own. But if you want more grained for more punch or distance, making your own saves a lot of money and you can customize the shells to the purpose you need.

The Vista sale isn't as big of an issue as they make it out to be. The new owner is keeping the existing management team in place, and all the facilities are staying right where they are. What taking the company private does for the different brands is that they no longer have to answer to shareholders. So if they need a new machine to make things more efficient, they are more likely to get it. This sale will be a net gain for the company.

Yes, he has government contracts in the Czech Republic. He also owns Fiocchi ammunition. CSG owns over 100 companies. Biden had nothing to do with this sale. The true owner of Vista was its shareholders, whoever they were. Now, the owner is Michal Strnad. He is a decent guy. I met him when he toured our plant a couple of weeks ago.

@wm7312 I've been reloading over 10 years. Anyone starting today is basically doing it for the same amout they can buy it for of the shelf. Component prices are higher today than they've ever been. You can't save money on reloading VS buying factory today. You're probably better off just buying off the shelf and spending your time doing something else.

Being recently retired on a small monthly pension and not able to afford a large amount at a time or able to afford multiple trip to the range I try and buy 150 rounds at a time, maybe 200, and shoot half of it. I do this once a month when i can afford it. as a result, and I know it isn't much compared to others here, i manage to increase my supply by 50-100 rounds a month. I have some 9mm ammo i've had for 2 years, same for my 20 gauge shotgun, and a mess of 22lr some is 7 years old. I am disheartened to hear about ammo inc. I have and have shot some of the 9mm 115 gr and 124 gr fmj and have found it quality ammo at just $12 a box of 50 fmj, and their 20 round boxes of jhp at just $10 is less than half the price of a similar brand such as hornady critical defense or critical duty. Another reliable brand i was lucky enough to get some was sinter fire 9mm 100 gr jhp. But that was an example of here today gone tomorrow and haven't seen any more since. The ammo inc. was good quality ammo and there is no explanation for a failure except for someone in the company was embezzling.

Looks like primer and powder manufacturers will have to stop ignoring the handloader market. Couldn't even order a large volume of primers last year. Component prices had equaled retail mfg ammo prices.

Ammo inc has a quality problem first and foremost that’s the real scandal, cooking the books was just the icing on the cake. Winchester raising prices again for no good reason could be a bigger hit to the industry but this has been slowly happening the last 5 years as if they are trying to get out of the civilian market on certain calibers.

As far as the Czech Republic goes I use a lot of Sellier and Bellot ammo both pistol and rifle and they make good stuff at a decent price. A lot of the ammo I buy comes from Europe such as Igman 308. This is all brass cased not steel cased ammo. I also bought a bunch of Belom brass cased 7.62X39 again decent ammo from somewhere in Slav land.

If you are stockpiling ammo, do NOT POST your quantities and calibers or any info as to your location. Bad actors will then put your location on a hit list for free ammo. NEVER tell anyone what you have or it might disappear some night. P.S.: add a full-time VPN to your computers. It scrambles your location.

3 failing ammo producers in the U.S. is only a minor issues compared to an upcoming issue that is going to affect all ammo manufacturers in the U.S. Antimony and gun cotton, two of the most important ingredients in ammo components (primers and gun powder) are going to be in very short supply soon. Depending on its annual production capacity, China supplies 1/2 to 2/3 of the antimony and gun cotton used by gunpowder and primer manufactures in the U.S. Guess who the CCP is going to be sanctioning and what products the CCP will restrict for export after Trump make good on his threat to raise tariffs on all Chinese made goods.

This video plays like a propaganda message. I mean, it's an ad screaming go buy more ammo which will do exactly what it predicts, run up prices. Yes, more people have firearms and more ammo sells every year. But think about it realistically. Ammo for 5.56 was 33 cent a round back in the good ole days. Today it's 49 cent a round. Ammo has remained pretty cheap in comparison to other needs items which have skyrocketed. Then again, I have my stockpile that I add a little to every time I go to a store that sells it.
I will say though, I invested in Ammo inc and their stock has been shit since it came out. It's down about 90% while sales have been through the roof. Anyone could do that math. I did it long ago and dumped it. Just like EV related stocks over the last four years, losers.
