This was a life saver... I had mismatching IDs... Actually correction, the id on my flash head was set to off.... Switching on resolved the issue. Thank you for this video...
Ok wait I’ve spent 35 minutes trying to figure out WHY it wasn’t connecting with the same channel- scrolled thru a million RUclips videos and finally you solved my issue!! Forever grateful!
I've just started incorporating flash into my shoots to control the light a bit more and the wireless godox wireless trigger was such a pain to get to work that I just did a bounce flash off a reflector instead. Going to try this out and give OCF another chance, thanks for the tip!
Sorry if this isn't exactly related but the godox system also has a little quirk where when the trigger and flash are to close together they won't fire It obviously didn't happen during your tutorial but it does happen. Just something to be aware of. Keep up the great work. Love your content cheers.

Ah this is interesting to me, I have 2 AD200 pros ( I'm so glad I don't need that monster of a 600w light that you need to lug around 😂.....phew!) and one of them doesn't like to talk to my trigger...so this could be the issue? I've followed your excellent instructions, thanks so much for sharing this, yoh are a great help as always ❤
Unfortunately there is not an ID setting on my 685 F. The firmware update apparently will put one in but the firmware files are all for a PC, I got a Mac. Hair pull time!
Great little tutorial as usual.. I have been looking at the godox triggers for my speedlite as at the moment I am still using the pop up flash and it does not always fire as I photograph cats and rabbits and I have found having the speedlite balanced on my knee of camera gets the best shots of bunnys on the floor.. Not the best for my knees tho 🤣.. And the speedlit sensor is covered up sometimes.. And the pop up flash makes then close there eyes.. I can't win lol.. So I do need a trigger I have a canon speedlite so is there any you would recommend to go with it.. As the canon ones are the same price as my flash! 🙄.
Didn't work for me, I have an AD600 as well and no connection. I've even contacted godox, very frustrated. I've used this trigger three times since I bought it and this happens. I have a second flash and same issue.
I keep getting a message on my camera (Sony a7riiia) that the trigger isn’t compatible with my camera and I’m using the V1 will check the ID this afternoon but I doubt it will work
@@ThatPhotographySpot unfortunately it didn't fix the issue still got the message "this unit is not compatible with the accessory and will not work " so i think a new trigger will need to be ordered despite the trigger and flash connecting with each other and working.
@@markcantlephotography Damn, makes me glad I didn't buy Godox, but that doesn't help you one bit. Unless you can get support from Godox I think you're stuffed brother.
In one word no. Kudos to your video but otherwise no it's still not working I'm going to try one last thing I have scourged a whole entire internet trying to find how to reset this thing and there is still. Nothing but problems meaning it will not trigger. I'm going to try one or two things extra before I decide to fly this thing directly into the trash and that is by selling it on eBay cuz I am totally sick and tired of godox at this point and time. That is I will try to upload a update to the product itself and see if that will clear up any kind of mishaps. It's either that or I have to go out and buy some more pointless equipment that either is compatible or somewhere along the line that I feel like godox. Lied In which I really do not and feel like or even nowhere near close to mood of buying another pointless flash that will connect with a godox. Beyond anger.
Sorry to hear of your frustrations and issues you are having with your lights and trigger. What lights and trigger do you have. It sounds like the trigger may not be compatible with your light?

For me, it was the flashhead "ID" not matching the trigger "ID". Thanks for the help!

What if it doesn't turn on and you have batteries in it?
