    Wow, for the money you are getting a ton of boat, the separate shower, the aft cabin and the ability already built in for the coverings. I would buy this over anything else in its size range.

    That is a great little boat for a day, weekend or a week on the water. Nicely finished and good spec. I quite like the aft cabin as well, I am not surprised that it as won awards. Great tour thank you.

    This is the best walk through boat I've seen,such practicality in design,would probably like the flipper aft cabin,but like the door, one thing I can't figure is why small boat builders always put in hanging locker,wtf

    Very impressive for the money, like a Marex but thought out way better, just my personal opinion and always thought that Marex should offer outboards.
    I’m definitely putting this one on my radar…..

    Parker stepping up,their game again. I always felt they were a cheaper option than some other models by other manufacturers like Marex a d Saxdpr. Of,course the utility and build is different but they offer roughly the same all the way around.

    "there are no switches, it's all controlled via the MFD." Which is nice, until the display goes haywire, then you're SOL

    Appreciate it may be Hull 1 as such teething issues.... But looking at the helm first thing I'd change is the controls for bow & stern thrusters...
    To inline controls i.e. top being bow bottom being stern; simplifies use; two fingers....

    • @chrisscott2151

      fair point , however let me explain the reason they are side by side and the thinking behind it. It is because you can operate with two fingers if you put the fingers of your left hand into a victory simble V and push right both stern and bow thruster push the boat to the starboard side.(or index finger and thumb in a "U" position whatever is more comfortable). if you use your index finger and thumb and squeeze them together you rotate starbourd on the spot if you push your index finger and thumb apart it will rotate portside on the spot . I've tested it and it works very well .

    What benefits (if any) do the "hull steps" you pointed out in the beginning, give the boat?

    • @alexsmith3945
      @alexsmith3945 10 месяцев назад

      They're basically designed to introduce a little more air to the planing surface, thereby reducing drag and increasing efficiency. It ought to mean a little more pace too.

      You make an interesting point. I always look to sleep with my head forward and/or uphill if possible, away from the nearest access point and with a better view through the main window. In spite of the dipping deckhead, that's certainly the way I would choose to organise myself in the aft cabin of the Parker Sorrento - but now that you mention it, that was probably not the designer's intention!

    This is a great couples boat, as was noted. I love my “couples” friends, but I can’t think of any I’d wanna share airspace with overnight. This layout solves that. Was there a porta pooper in the aft?

    • @alexsmith3945
      @alexsmith3945 10 месяцев назад +1

      No aft porta potti on the show boat but a decent bit of space to tuck one away if you want it.

    That rear facing seat is very dangerous - particularly on such a fast bot with (presumably) rapid acceleration

  • @rtbinc2273
    @rtbinc2273 10 месяцев назад

    There is a US based Parker Boats that is unrelated to this Parker - makes looking them up hard if you are in the US. Have to agree the music is too loud and jarring. The music's levels should be lowered a bit - but that is getting to be a common problem.

    Nice boat, but not a fan of the aft cabin. If you have kids definitely not safe leaving them back there and any guest staying there has to leave the cabin at night to use the head… that makes no sense. Mid cabin is the way to go and is utilized on 99% of boats this size and style.

    • @jamesr.9852

      Huh?!?

    • @alexsmith3945
      @alexsmith3945 10 месяцев назад

      For the extra space and separation, aft cabins can be very valuable but I see your point. Some people like to increase security by putting the kids forward and taking the aft space for themselves - and the scale of the aft cabin on this particular boat absolutely enables that. And the fact that the all-over canvases encompass the exit point for the aft cabin means you can stay within the covered confines of the boat if you need to venture forward to the heads.

    • @marcsmilen6565
      @marcsmilen6565 5 месяцев назад

      If you don't like the aft cabin, the alternative is a used sea ray or regal. Sea ray and regal made great boats.

      i can confirm 42 knots with twin 250 in fairly choppy water ;-) theire is a spanish review confirming this ruclips.net/video/fIPUXJN1zIQ/видео.html . the speed is listed at5:29 on the review on flat water i achieved 44knots with twin 250 Mercury outboards. so no BS here ;-)

    • @alexsmith3945
      @alexsmith3945 10 месяцев назад +1

      Quite right@@chrisscott2151. I took a Sorrento out with twin 300s today and we achieved 46.8 knots without the slightest struggle. If anything, I would say Parker seems to be understating its performance figures.

    at 50 knots, you are not a cruiser, you are more a noisy bouncing uncomfortable boat

    • @chrisscott2151
      @chrisscott2151 10 месяцев назад

      it's a sports cruiser if you need the speed you can do it ;-) but you can just take advantge of the spare power and cruise comfortably at 30kn with superb fuel economy without working your engines to the max also extending their lifetime ;-) we will be at Cannes yachting festival this year and welcome all to come and expierence the Sorrento on the water ,it is really taking boating to new levels when it comes to 10m sports cruisers .
