I have been a musician (bass) for over 60 years and I've heard many of the greats live including Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent and many more and IMHO Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived. And this IMHO, is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded, hands down! Every note he chooses is perfection, and every technique is flawlessly performed with taste and grace. God Bless Gary Moore RIP, brother.

@@craigreid7178 I agree and yet don't; for me it's always sliding between GM and SRV. There's also NO doubting Hendrix is a massive influence and creator, but I genuinely believe he is overrated as an actual player.

@@paulncott4587 Yes, SRV is a monster player and deserves high ranking but IMHO GM has more skill, mastery and passion in his playing - agree to disagree.

The greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth! Nobody and I mean nobody played with so much passion and feeling. I was fortunate enough to see Gary many many times and also to meet him personally. He is very very sadly missed.
    R.I.P Maestro. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦

It was May 1 1990 at the Concert Hall in my town and on stage was Gary Moore. This song was the last of several encores and what a finale! He played with so much emotion/feeling/passion and also with lots of improvisation and after that show i was like in seventh heaven or something! I met my cousin the other day who attended the same show and he had the same feeling after the show!

Roy Buchanan wrote and recorded this song. Gary Moore idolized Roy as a hero and recorded The Messiah Will Come Again as a
tribute to him. Jeff Beck and many other guitarists (Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page) all consider Roy as 'The Master Of
The Telecaster' and was often referred to by that name.

Gary Moore is my biggest influence as a guitarist. Not so much his technique, which was devastating and which I could not possibly emulate, but for his tone and feel. So much soul and emotion in his playing.
Yes, Don Airey on keys! A legend himself.
The Les Paul he's playing here is itself famous... it's called 'Greeny', because it used to be owned by Peter Green of early Fleetwood Mac. Gary has to sell it because of financial difficulties (how sad is that!), and it is now in the hands of Kirk Hammett of Metallica, who does use it.

I miss Gary. He died way too early. R.I.P.
To me he was one of the greatest guitarists ever and "Messiah" is my favorite song of his.
Also love it, when two generations have got the same musical taste. "Rock'n'Roll will never die" (Neil Young).
    Great song choice, you two.
P.S.: A wish from me, though: On upcoming reaction videos, could you please increase the volume of the music-video and decrease the volume of your mics (except when pausing the music video). We love to hear your reactions, but we also (if not even a bit more) love to enjoy the music. ;-)

Fun fact. Gary was left handed but learned himself to play right handed. Because everybody else did. How cool is the thought hat his playing would be more impressive if he'd played left handed?

There are faster guitarists, more accurate/cleaner guitarists, maybe a few "better"guitarists.but there are none that can touch Gary for the way he makes you feel deep in your soul when he plays.the look on your face says it all.
