Craig, your best friend is patience, we watched tonnes of videos, and went to many shows, and all the dealers, it took around 12 months for us to choose, we used patience, and the right van appeared. $82,000 for $67,000... My top three most important things are. Weight Weight And weight. We bought Jayco, Aussie made, 150 plus repairers, common suppliers of equipment, so we purchased an upgraded van, for a cheaper price, by using patience, and we walked away from many, using your advice on emotional attachment, ity is our money, not their's until you pay, I really enjoy your attitude on this.
Completely agree re big savings too good to pass up. We ended up being forced to buy second hand after our van order was cancelled on us (yeah, great). We didn't have time to order again given our 12 month lap was less than a year away, so we sought out a second hand van - and fortunately for us a Titanium came up after a facebook request on their group page. What a buy - like your review here, this 18 footer single axle had done a lap (2 years old). I'd say we saved 40k minimum on new price. I'll take that any day! On our lap now - and the van is fantastic.
Love your channel guys, your communication relating to the caravans that have been assessed is gold and easy to understand ... very effective, this will assist in the decision making moving forward when upgrading .... would love to have a beer with you around that camp fire one day ... take care ....
We've got the current model of this van and yet to do a walk around vid, but its a completely different van to this one! They've done so many more upgrades since this model, but its great to see this one has held up really well for its age. Funny to think there is acutally not much content on these vans on youtube, when it is such a lovely compact van with everything you could ever need!
Just my thoughts, if your looking at long or full time travel a twin axle van is a much safer option......one they tow better, 2 if you blow a tyre the chance of losing your van is vastly reduced and finally most (not all) importantly single axle vans in the majority lack a reasonable payload.....
You’ll be Tracey’s favorite real quick! Good points. Looking at max off-road performance for the extreme locations also, singles beat doubles there but I’m leaning a double.
Good job craig. Have a look at australis caravans. Just another Melbourne caravan factory with the other million. I done 12 months of research and found australis to be the best for me. Curious to know what you end up buying.
Thanks for another thoughtful and insightful video (despite the kungfu movie dubbing: although I did enjoy seeing one of your mouths move with the others voice coming out). But seriously, thank you!
We’ve done both but we take the $35 one more often than not when we do several hundred Ks. Short trips the lesser one - just picture yourself if something goes wrong having to fork out that big excess.
@@jeffrollason1190 Tracey loves it! A titanium fan for sure - I was impressed with its tow ability and condition after doing a lap on and off road. Needs an upgraded power supply for off grid but the owner just used his generator - always an easier cheaper option.

Well done to you, there are some bargains out there. If I chose another van Titanium would be the one.
Love your vids , so honest and natural. No bullshit . I’m on my 2nd Titanium van and on a full time travel right now . Amazing quality and build .
Thanks Paul! Great to hear.

Thanks Craig! We might run into you out there one day, we ran into one subscriber at the top of Mt Kosciusko so anything’s possible!

Tracey loves it - nice and compact and was in great condition given the work it’s done - good luck with yours! Enjoy.

Great review. Buying a secondhand van is a good option if you can find one that suits you , and it is in good condition and at the right price.

Will do - it’s a maze really

Thank you! I didn’t see any of that dubbing - I’ll check that out!
@@caravansbythecampfire Must be my PC, just watched on my phone to be sure and sound was perfect.
Anyways, I still enjoyed and appreciated your view ❤
@@JayWilFo nah, kung fu sound dubbing for me too :)
Have you had a look at Masterpiece vans, very nice but priced accordingly,
Enjoy your reviews
Yes, not up close however, thanks - we will have a closer look!
19ft seems very long for 2 wheels🤔don’t you think?
Right on the limit I’d say, I was surprised myself.
That van is actually 18ft . I owned one .
When you hire from Camplify, do you pay the $15 or $35 excess, thanks Jeff

@@caravansbythecampfire Thanks for the reply, the Wild Child does look like a good size caravan with Aluminium frame
