- Andrew and I took a trip to Goodwill on Halloween. While we were searching the rows of Christmas decorations, we came across a vintage cookie jar.

You and Andrew are a hoot when you are shopping!
Use caution when handling snow globe debries if cleaning up. Most snow globes have etheline glycol in the fluid. Coming into contact with ethline glycol can cause neurological symptoms, ie loss of feeling the parts of body exposed.
I've recently saw something just like that "purse". It was for fishermen. they would store what they caught in there until they were done.
I love the Koala sweater on you... you should wear it whenever you want! Andrew should come thrifting with you more often, even though we learn a lot more when Sue is with you, he is SO funny!

The natural fiber purse is likely from the Pacific islands, from Indonesia to Micronesia
One suggestion I have when your shopping is the seat area of the shopping cart of your put the plastic up you have a better chance of things not slipping through it especially if you're putting something breakable in it. I have noticed and most of your videos that that plastic part is down and you have had some breakables in there. I love your videos

I have never ever in my life seen a Goodwill store that big in that organized! I also watch other videos where they show Dollar Tree stores, it’s the same thing, big and organized as well as stocked

Looks like you and I are singing the same, "Ode to Goodwill", girlfriend. I can't believe how many times I have been in there in the past few weeks. Not the same one as yours, tho just as clean and nice. I remember the huge Seattle Goodwill from my childhood and it was a dark and gloomy place that smelled awful. Once in a while they would do fashion shows from their collection of vintage and antique clothes and that was always fun. My Mom and her mother were addicted to Goodwill, and I swear tho it was a long drive, they went in at least once a week.
I like to take my son, Andrew along with me every chance I get, he is just heaps of fun too and can spot a bargain from thirty paces. I laughed so hard at your Andrew striking a pose I nearly fell over. That is one interesting purse. I've never seen one quite like it, tho they had woven purses somewhat like that in the souvenir shops in Hawaii.
The kitty cookie jar was certainly from the fifties, seems like my grt. aunt had one like that. I looked it up once, and I think they were selling for around $200, if my memory serves me right, so good bargain. Have a wonderful day Jocelyn Elizabeth and Andrew too!

Cracks me up about those ceramic trees. My friend Francis would be laughing, lets pour more trees. She had the ceramic molds for 3 different sizes of those. She would pour dozens of them in the summer. They were a big seller for her, she even glazed the white and gold trees too.

My mom collects ceramic Christmas trees. She has about 10-15 of them so during Christmas time our house of full of trees.

Just so you know you can have water put back in snow globes. Companies that sell snow globes and music boxes will do it for a small fee. My mom did it for several she had.

That "snowglobe" is a dry globe...it has a mini blower in the base that stirs up the "snow". I have a couple of these pieces. Powered by two AA batts. I did better than that on the ceramic trees, got two very vintage ones as a gift from a neighbor. Made in California, USA! Looking at the base of your cookie jar, it appears to be a Mc Coy. Like that blue bowl, as blue is my color.

Years later 2021 I wonder how your purse aka fish catcher bag sold for.
At 5:25 I had one of those and my Mom told me that I didn't need it and to get rid of it. So I took it to the thrift store a couple of years ago and now I regret it since I know that it's worth more money. Arrrgh
I have like 26 to 30 Old cookie jars that are packed up I got them all from Goodwill and now I don't want them where do you guys suppose that I sell them
Get online and see what they are worth. My aunt was a cookie jar collector at one point. Certain ones are worth a lot of money.
