My favorite guitarist, by far. Sue Foley makes every note count. True notes, real, true songs. Current master of the Telecaster, soulful vocals. Loving the trio format so there is more room for your playing. Glad we have this video until live shows return.

I am so glad she played "The Dance". That is hands down one of my favorite guitar pieces. Such a great mix of flamenco and blues. It blew my mind the first time I came across it.

shocklingy great! Sue knows how to rock and string that silly guitar of hers. She scales, then bends, picks, blends, feels. oh my .She is enough to make a blues statement.
It's not just the technique it's what you do with it - and she does it all. She also shows a wonderful sensitivity to blues roots and history.

J'ai vu Sue plusieurs fois chez moi à Ottawa.à son premier retour de Austin. (Bluesfest, Rainbow Bistro, Bluesfest 2 ou 3 fois...les années 90) Sue est définitivement la Reine du blues modern, son séjour à Austin TX l'a influencé pas à peu près! Sa présence sur un stage est inégalé. Méconnu :-( mais non inconnu :-) Je l'adore too bad she's gone back to TX, we need her here!

I see you dont know her history, Billy not so much, he is an ass sometimes but Jimmy Vaughn.....boy she had a crush on him back when she came to Austin and she didn't care if his wife knew it. She had his style nailed and he hated that but could not be too dam mad cause she played him better than he did. Being a highly unorthodox style he was impressed anyone would ever try it. That same guitar was brand new back then and she took Austin by storm in less than a year she was killing it nation wide (billy gibbons reference...lol) The song Jimmy Lee, well if you ever meet her ask her the real story about that song......it will crack you up nicely.
