  • Wait I thought this was #MandolinMonday, why is there a fiddle?? Haha, I had some fun working with video editing and split screens here so we could have a special guest on the video today. Today's tune is a really twisty, twirly Acadian tune from New Brunswick fiddler Gerry Robichaud called "Emile Arsenault's". Robichaud learned this tune from Oscar Melanson who bed-ridden at the time so he could only whistle the tunes to Gerry. But Oscar perfectly remembered this tune and a few others from a visit from Rogersville Acadian fiddler Emile Arsenault in the 1930s. It's a pretty spectacular tune and goes great with fiddle and mandolin, as you'll see!

A fine tune and a great job of bringing both instruments together in such a clever way!
